He made sure our drinks never got low, and all with a great attitude.The foods we're all good for the most part, just salt on fries was way too much. Our friends enjoyed their meals. “Boon Cafe is incredible!! I wish i had photos but we devoured everything so quickly i didn't get the chance. We have tried every vegan item and everything is outstanding. You cannot go wrong with any of the sandwiches, and their loaded fries and nachos have the most delicious sauce. Their vegan mac n cheese is my favorite in all of Chicago. “Superb!! Fabulous!! Wonderful!! Mission BBQ - Downer's Grove catered the Rehearsal Dinner we hosted and we couldn't have been more pleased! We contacted several caterers, looking for a gluten-free menu, and we decided on them. They had lots of GF options and they were terrific to work with. Angela, the event coordinator, contacted me several days ahead of the event, to see if she could get there early to check everything out and set up. Not only did she and Isabelle arrive early, but they also asked if they could help us with anything we needed to do, including decorating the tables! Then the catering staff, Bob and Yolanda, arrived and were equally as helpful! The food was plentiful and delicious!!! I highly recommend their food and catering services. Thank you Angela, Isabelle, Yolanda and Bob for going above and beyond, for making everything so easy, and helping us enjoy a wonderful evening!!!And I love that Mission BBQ is 'proudly serving those who serve' by giving back to many national and local charitable organizations. “First off, the service was excellent. Michael did an amazing job. He knew the menu from front to back. He spoke loud enough so everyone at the table could here him even in a noisy, crowded restaurant. He deserves a big shout out! “Our server Anna was perfect. The ahi tuna salad that I ordered had a generous amount of tuna and very wonderful avocado slices, along with lots of other ingredients. The three people with me loved their choices also, especially the Neat burger with an egg on it. “We made a reservation, arrived on time, were told our table would not be ready for 15 min. There is no where to wait at the restaurant (no room at the bar and we had someone under 21 with us and there is no place else to wait where you are not in the way. We chose to wait outside. Why bother making reservation if the table is not ready? There were several open tables, too and upon return 15 min later those same tables were open! It's just very frustrating and this is the second time something like this has happened. If it happens again I am not so sure I will be as open to returning.“

“Highly recommend!!!! Such a delicious place! We had the Mondello Salad with Chicken, the Margherita pizza, and the Tiramisu. The portions are massive, the quality is fantastic, super cute look and decor, and the prices are some of the best we've seen recently! All in all a 5 star place! The owner was around and super accommodating & kind to the guests. He also spoke Italian with some folks - which always signals true authenticity. We love to support small businesses and loved finding this wonderful spot. We were starving on our drive back and decided to venture out along the road and found this diamond in the rough gem thanks to some great Google reviews!“

“Delicious food! Especially nice on a cold day. I appreciated that there was even a vegetarian item on the menu (a huge potato pancake with mushroom gravy), which was delicious. We also shared some sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese pierogies, which were also great. Also great was the mulled wine. They serve a lovely sourdough bread with an interesting spiced spread, but heads up to vegetarians -- the spread is bacon-based. But again, excellent bread. (As you can see, deliciousness was the theme.) The exterior of the restaurant is a little unassuming but the interior is like a cheerful cabin. Would definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Babcia's pancake, which is a potato pancake with mushroom gravy, served with 3 types of cold salad. There are also meatless pierogies: sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese (ask to be served without bacon garnish). There are also some salads on the menu which are vegetarian. I don't believe any of these dishes are vegan, though at least one of the salads could probably be made vegan if the cheese was left off.“

“Having visited Miami and Cuba, I'm familiar with Cuban food. Cubano Bros. is located 'off the beaten path' in a nondescript strip mall. Their chow, noted for authenticity, draws a large lunchtime crowd from nearby factories. Most customers carry out, but tables are available for those who would rather dine in. A large mural of Havana's El Capitolio and a 'bust' of a '57 Chevy liven up the otherwise mundane room. There are no plates or silverware; all food arrives in a paper bag. The meat-filled pastries--Cuban empanadas--are not to be missed. Their El Cubano is the best Cuban sandwich I've found north of the Mason-Dixon line. Their steak sandwich puts most diner versions to shame. And the crispy-edged fried plantains arrived hot with just the right amount of sweetness. Cheerful servers bring the food to the table. We enjoyed everything so much, we ordered more food to take home.“
