But what really made our visit special was our incredible waiter, Manuel! 👏⭐ Not only was he professional, attentive, and super friendly, but he also took the time to warn us about the weather moving into the area and made sure we were prepared. He went above and beyond to make our meal memorable and even helped add a special birthday touch for HeavenLeigh! 🎉🎂🍩

“I LOVE spicy food and have a high tolerance for heat. Like Hot Ones 11/10 hot sauce is a bit mild to me type tolerance or I eat raw ghost peppers to relish the little bit of heat type tolerance. I try spicy chicken all over the place and while some taste good, none are spicy. Enter Pop-Up Chicken Shop. I ordered the chicken sandwich with their Poultygeist seasoning and OH MY is this delicious! The chicken has heat, the slaw has heat and that heat builds with each bite. So good!! If you want actual spicy chicken, try this place out! If you don't tolerate heat as much, try their other heat levels -- excellent flavor and good portions!”

“This is exactly what you want in a neighborhood brewery—friendly people, great beer, and a fun atmosphere. They don't serve food, but there are often food trucks parked outside and live bands playing on weekends, which makes for an awesome night out.

The staff is always welcoming and happy to help you find something you'll enjoy. If you like fruit beers, you have to try the blueberry wheat, Holey Jeans, and the raspberry wheat, Hose Slippers. Both are flavorful, refreshing, and among my favorite beers anywhere. They also brew some really solid IPAs with plenty of variety to keep things interesting.

“If you’ve never eaten gluten free, you might not know that it actually can be really defeating at times. Your favorite treats are something you can no longer enjoy, and then some companies FINALLY offer a GF version and it’s always gritty, dry, or just down right disgusting. Having to change your diet this way can make you feel like you have to settle and you have to gaslight yourself into liking this new version. So personally for me when GF alternatives come out I get nervous because I don’t want to hate it or have to settle. Last night I had my favorite iced sugar cookie from Grove Street Bakery for the first time in years, and it was gluten free. It was amazing. It was soft, it was delicious, and I truly could not tell it was a gluten free recipe! Thank you so much to Lizzie for bringing out these treats last night and sharing some AMAZINNGGGGG cookies!💕”

“This Popeyes is the worst. They made me wait over 20 minutes for chicken because they said they have any ready. That was your one job to make chicken. The chicken they gave me was dark meat, but I paid for white meat. They always just give you whatever they have available, no matter what you order. The staff is always rude and they act like they are doing you a favor. I didn't realize until I got home that my order was incorrect. And the lady that handed me the food was sweet as well. The chicken, in my opinion is one of the best in town. It was hot, seasoned well and very juicy and that was the breast! My son loved the bacon cheeseburger pizza. I will keep coming back as long as I keep getting good service and treated very well. I think I will start making that my go-to when i don't feel like cooking!”

“In town during move in week at ISU. The food was solid. They smoke their meats here so you get actual BBQ which is nice. The ribs were good just not very meaty for St Louie style. Pulled pork sandwich was good with a nicely toasted bun. The smash burger was solid and seasoned well. The fresh cut fries were tasty, corn on the cob had a nice char and the Mac and cheese was decent.

Our server was very nice and attentive. Although I do have to dock a star due to how long it took to get our food.

Atmosphere is fun, loud, kinda dive bar which I like. Overall a nice place to get some food if you’re in town. 4/5 would recommend.”
