“Fresh, delicious, sushi with thick slices of fish, with just the right amount of spice or cream cheese or whatever else you might find in your roll of choice to bring out the flavor of the fish instead of masking it. I can't believe this is so close to home - I'm completely beside myself with glee right now.Update: it's been 6 years and I'm still in love. I have eaten here a mortifying number of times and picked up sushi to go even more often and I've never had a bad experience.Second update: I've moved, and Hakuya is the only restaurant I'll travel to reach. Absolutely impeccable every time.“
“My friends and I went a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered kimbap, tteokbokki, and spicy ramen and everything was absolutely delicious. The server and owner were so kind and attentive. We are planning to visit again. Give this place a try!“
“We expected something a little different since looking at the menu online, I couldn't really pinpoint the cuisine. Greek? Mediterranean? Asian? Polish? Middle Eastern? Well, doing a little Googling at the restaurant,it appears to be Uzbekistan. The beet salad was amazing, and I got the Lamb Kababs, called Shashlik. Really, really good. The entrees appeared to all be served on a wooden board, with your choice of side, sauce, and protein served on a small pita. I got a Old Fashioned cocktail, which was also really good. Our server was super sweet and attentive. Will be going back to try some of the other items on creative menu featuring a lot of options.“
“Absolutely love this place! I had no idea it was 100% Gluten Free, when searching for Gluten-free restaurants, this one doesn’t show up. But because it’s entirely GF, it would be awesome to add this to the Google Business account so it appears on searches.Vegetarian options: Tons of delicious veggie options.Dietary restrictions: 100% Gluten Free, options for every diet.Kid-friendliness: Great food that kids love!“
“Loved the experience from this place! The food was phenomenal & service was high quality. Ended up getting the beef bulgogi, crispy tofu, & crispy crunch roll! So flavorful and yummy, highly recommend if you're looking for a lowkey Korean BBQ place! Will be coming back for sure ?“
“So this place is an amazing "Pocha" experience! Great social drinking vibe with amazing food. Note that the wait can be 40mins+ and it can get very packed. Now although you might wait a bit, which should give you enough time to have an order in mine, the food comes out super fast once placed. Probably took only 10mins for the food to start coming out.Highly highly recommend the Tofu Kimchi (which comes with pork belly), Spicy BBQ pork belly w/mozzarella, and the Rose Tteok bok ki.Definitely what we were looking for and they also have karaoke which we might come back to try.“
“I had never tried southeast Asian cuisine. Even though I don’t know how they’re supposed to taste, I can tell the food is deliciously made!! It’s delicious as take out but it is even more amazing when you dine in and the food is piping “
“I love the food, as a vegetarian it's hard to find options when eating out and this place delivers. The prices are high, but the portions are decent. My only suggestion would be not to charge extra for a little extra sauce. It ruins the experience and I don't know if you gain anything by doing that.“
“So glad we found this place. Landed in Chicago from Hawaii and was greeted by snow all day. Looking for comfort food, we found this place. Wonderful staff and I believe he was the owner, made us feel so welcome. The ramen was great and so was the Thai food. Highly recommend. Much aloha to the staff there. The flower girls!“
“Kong Dog is a unique take on a hot dog and very creative. We had the Cheetos and Potatoes half and half dog. Both were fresh, tasted good and had incredible cheese pull from the cheese portion. It is certainly a speciality kind of a place rather than a quick stop in for a "regular" meal however.“
“Tasty choices of full plates and sampler bits. The spice blends are wonderful. We enjoyed the vegetarian items. The Saag with paneer was so fresh, yum. The beverages are refreshing: both nonalcoholic and ones with liquor.Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices“
“If you like bulgogi beef this is a good place to enjoy it!I had dinner here and the food was really good, the restaurant clean and the service very friendly. The place has parking spaces and the restaurant looks quite cozy inside.I recommend it.“
“We absolutely love their Pho and get take out every week for lunch. I wish I could provide feedback on their other selections, but the Pho is so good that they know our phone number and order automatically every time we call. Highly recommended.“
“One of my favorite sushi restaurants. I wish it was a little nicer, kinda showing it's age, restaurant is over 10 years old, decors hasn't changed since then. Service is good, and they are attentive.Vegetarian options: Have friends who are vegetarian they enjoy their food.“
“Sooo fantastic! I asked for wonton soup..Korean wings & spring rolls. I'll say that I will be a FOREVER customer now..the wings were the BEST I've ever had,so crunchy and the seasoning was spot on~the flavor was mmmmMMmm also ,the soup tasted like it was JUST made.. i was really happy when i saw that i was given rice as well! ..most importantly for me, this food was REALLY clean and by that I mean -ingredients that were selected & prepared with intent..no "after taste" no grease..just delicious homemade honest food! Thank you!Parking: Wouldn't ever be an issue“
“This was my first time trying Bibibop and I was glad they expanded their locations. Plenty of parking. It’s not far from the Woodfield Mall. Prices were very reasonable because you do get a ton of food for your meal plus the free miso soup. When you walk in, it’s like an Asian version of Chipotle/Subway/Poke Bros where you choose your ingredients in front of you. You choose the base, protein, toppings, and sauces. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and fast.“
“Keep going back for their Indo Chinese food. One of the best in town. Try their chilli chicken and BC mouthwatering chicken.Tried Thai green curry too but it wasn’t as good a chilli chicken. green curry could have some more flavors and black pepper.“
“This place has delicious food. The workers are all incredibly pleasant and make sure your experience is top tier. I've come here on multiple occasions with my friend and we both can agree the food and service have been amazing every single time.“
“I just had to give a new update. They updated their menu. I took friends here and they all loved it! The food & service were perfect! It's a fun little spot. We ordered: Nutty Chicken Fat Dragon Noodles Coconut Chicken Curry White fish special Everything was 10/10!!“
“We went to Shakou for dinner a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I can say that service was amazing - we were served by a new waitress ( she was still in training) but she did an excellent job providing perfect customer service. She was there when she was needed and provided space for us to have a great date throughout the evening. The food was on par with the service. We ordered miso soup, ahi tartar and salmon carpaccio for appetizers. For entrees we had diver scallops and jumbo shrimp dish and chicken teriyaki entree. Both appetizers and entrees were very delicious and we would definitely order it again. One thing I wanted to note that the scallop and shrimp entree is quite small, so make sure to get an appetizer (I was glad we did, because the scallop entree alone would not be enough for dinner for me - it is so good though I could probably eat two of those ?). For dessert we had chocolate lava cake a la mode and chocolate pyramid - both were pretty good, but lava cake is definitely the winner between the two.Overall, I definitely recommend this place. It has a city vibe to it, so louder than most suburban places, hence attracts younger crowd. 5 starts ?“
“We had the chicken Tom Yum soup. It was pretty tasty. I've only enjoyed 2 places and this is one of them. The other was Thai Room but they're closed now. I had the basil fried rice. It was ok. I'd try something else next time. The fried icecream is pretty good“
“Salamat Po Authentic Filipino Cuisine offers a delightful journey into the heart of Filipino flavors. From the moment you step in, the warm ambiance welcomes you, setting the stage for an authentic culinary experience. The menu is a symphony of traditional Filipino dishes, each crafted with precision and love. The service is as impressive as the cuisine, with attentive staff ready to guide you through the menu. Salamat Po is a haven for those seeking genuine Filipino flavors, making it a must-visit for both enthusiasts and newcomers to this vibrant culinary tradition. The owner is great!Parking: Spacious parking lot.Kid-friendliness: The store has plenty of room inside so kids wouldn't be too bored while waiting for their parents to order food.“
“Very sweet little place that appears to be run by a family. The food was hot and fresh. Our party had one vegan, one gluten free and one picky eater. The restaurant was able to accommodate everyone and knew the menu contents very well. I am looking forward to returning soon.“
“Our new go-to for Korean. Yes, there will be a wait for seating or none available if you go too late and if you did not reserve ahead. Yes, the service won't be excellent because they get super busy and well, you just have to be patient. However, the food is FANTASTIC and a great selection in their menu. We absolutely love the garlic chicken gizzard (tough to find anywhere!) love love love the vibe, feel like you're in a restaurant in Korea. We can tell that most customers there are also Korean. So if the place is full of their own people, you know it's good! KPop on the TV and fun decor. We love this place!“
“LOVE LOVE LOVE all their dishes!! Always enjoyEd their satays, roti canai and yam pot. Great place to bring friends and family to savor delicious food. Serving time may be a bit slow but their offerings are worth waiting and worth the drive. They even have Thai entrees and tiramisu desserts.“
“There's always good vibes in the tropics Went to Tiki Terrace to celebrate our 9 year anniversary and it was so amazing! Right when you walk in to see the tiki bar and feel those tropical vibes! Everyone gets a dinner menu with the show that goes on and it's so much to choose from and the drinks were fantastic! We chose the coconut chicken and the pork and it came with two sides rice and macaroni salad! And of course we had pina coladas and a mango colada The hula performance is incredible and they speak to the crowd and tell us all about the history of the dances they do! Overall-- we had an amazing time it's definitely a place to check out if you want to feel like you're in Hawaii“
“We had a very good dinner. Service by Jennie was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. She followed up with at nice intervals throughout our meal. She is terrific wait person. Will definitely return and will request Jennie to be our server if possible.“
“We always enjoy the food and drinks here. Service wasn't great- our side dish was brought out as we were finishing up our meal. It had obviously just been reheated, which I guess is better than bringing it out cold.Volcano Roll is my favorite.“
“It's a convenient place to dine when staying at the hotel. The menu is very limited and provides your basic food distributor options. The ladies who were bartenders my first week there were great. On my return trip, there was a gent behind the bar, and he was not remotely close to as friendly or prompt as the ladies (one was in training-1st night) .“
“This pho restaurant is a great place to go for a quick and affordable meal. The pho is good, but not the best I've ever had. Their fresh spring rolls are so yummy! The staff is friendly and efficient. Overall, this is a good option for a casual meal. I will definitely be back!“
“Great little Thai food restaurant. The service was very good; everyone was helpful and accommodating. However, the food was the star of the evening!! I highly recommend that you eat here when you want Thai food for your next meal.Parking: Drive slow in front to find the right driveway. Parking is in the back and very tight.“
“I was so excited to take my son here. This has been my fav restaurant since the late 90s!The best Thai restaurant in Chicagoland. They have lots of meat free options. My personal favs are their spicy tofu & the spicy tom yum soup. It is SOOO DELICIOUS!!“
“The dim sum at this restaurant is just ok. The ordering is via IPad which is interesting. The dim sum comes ala carte instead of from a cart. Even with it coming straight out of the kitchen, the food didn’t come out hot which is disappointing.“
“Everything was great! We tried the spicy chicken dumplings they were perfect! The sauce had the best flavor. I had the pork belly ramen, everything in it had great flavor and was cooked perfectly, we also tried the chicken katsu, the chicken was crispy and delicious, everything about it was perfect! Bummed it’s a pop up and will definitely be making a point to go back a few times before it’s gone! Service was excellent, great suggestions and drinks too! If you haven’t tried this place make sure you don’t miss out.“
“Went here with my boyfriend a few weeks back, definitely recommend fried rice and the Korean chicken wings!!Honestly think this place is more for young adults since they play more American r&b and pop music rather than Korean music.Tried their takoyaki and it was kinda hard, and the spicy wings were a bit dry, but overall good place to go with friends“
“I’ve been coming here for years. The food came out quickly and service were great. Our server Nate is awesome and sweet, he is very efficient and fast. The wings are perfect, cooked through, moist and crunchy. Parmesan fries one of the best things ever. We loved this place and will recommend and come again!“
“The sushi was really good- fresh and rolled well, however a bit pricy. It seems like there is counter service; I ordered from the counter. However, the person came from behind the counter to take an order from a different table- so, maybe either way? There are a lot of rolls to choose from, but many seem very similar.Dietary restrictions: There were a limited number of gluten-friendly items. Most of the maki rolls have imitation crab, tempura or crunch things.“
“I've been ordering from this place for the last few months and am yet to be disappointed. The food is consistently delicious! The Tom Kha soup and Yellow Curry are so far my favorite! It's definitely my favorite takeout place in the area! Couldn't recommend enough!“
“Honestly was a little nervous when I saw how little people there was and how extensive their menu was. We only got the golden shrimp (appetizer) and sushi items. So nothing from the grill side. But everything we got tasted really really good. Would like to go back when the terrace is open because I feel like the ambiance would be a little better out there“
