“The food was good, the Margaritas were amazing. We ate at the counter. We were watched 👀 the entire time. Literally stared at and felt totally rushed. I got up to use the restroom and the little handicapped girl reached out to take our drinks. I have nothing against under privileged people working. I want to know why the 2 waitresses let this happen? If there is a next time, we'll be sitting at a table as far from the counter as we can possibly get!”

“Have visited twice now and both times were fabulous. First visit, my husband and I were out chasing the full moon to get some good pictures and spotted this place on our mad dash. We circled back and stopped in to check it out. Immediately loved the atmosphere ~ relaxed and very inviting. We weren't even hungry and thought we'd just take a gander at the menu and maybe get a take out appetizer but it smelled so tantalizing we opted to seat and have a full dinner. It did not disappoint. So good in fact, when my friend's birthday rolled around I said I wanted to take her out to this great place I recently discovered. With a backdrop of enjoyable music and lovely decor as well as great service and delicious food, Vanakkam India is a real winner. Will definitely return.”

“I go here often for my girls and for my company. It's usually very quick. There was one time I waited almost an hour for my pick up order and when I asked about it the young lady was very nice and asked me my name. I told her and then nothing another 30min rolls around and I ask her again and she goes and tells another young lady and she comes up and asks me if I checked in on the app. I told her no, I don't have the app. And she said they only go in order from check in on the app. I told her I had told the young lady who was boxing orders my name and then everyone after me had gotten their orders and left, and I was still standing there (with a baby) and she just gave me an attitude. So I left. Other than that one experience, most of my visits are very quick and easy to get in and out.”

“Koo’s Bento & Bowl is an absolute hidden gem and my go-to spot for incredible Asian fusion food! Everything here is made fresh to order, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. The chicken katsu bento is tender, flavorful, and served on a bed of perfectly cooked rice. The beef rendang, stewed for hours in coconut milk and spices, melts in your mouth, while the teriyaki chicken bento hits that perfect balance of sweet and savory.

If you love variety, their fried gyoza, tempura shrimp, and crab rangoon make perfect sides—they’re golden, satisfying, and never greasy. Portions are generous, and the pricing is almost too good to be true for how fresh and delicious the food is.

There’s limited seating, but that doesn’t take away from the experience—if anything, it makes you feel like you’ve found one of Rockford’s best-kept secrets.

“You walk into a sparkling clean restaurant with a light, breezy but cozy feel. You can either order at the counter or at the keypad. My 9 year old son loves to use the keypad to customize his own poke bowl. The food is fresh and delicious with countless combinations on the build your own bowl. Friendly and helpful staff. Poke Green, keep doing what you're doing because it's perfect!”

“We stopped here on a whim driving through from South Carolina and being a cal city girl I needed. Y fox of Chicago food and when I tell you the service was the best so friendly and the food was fresh and hot and delicious. We definitely will stop back on our way through. “Had a group of 19 women in for lunch today. Went in last week to let staff know we were coming on Monday at 11 am. I arrived, no tables were set up and I had to help arrange tables. All of our meals were very good. There was a huge variety on the menu choices. I asked our waitress if I might have a gift card ( $10 or $15) to draw from among the women. Was told the manager could not get ahold of the owners to ask if this was okay. Really? Anyway, every 2 months I make a reservation for us all to go to lunch. Never been turned down before. All the food was great. This just rubbed me the wrong way.”

Roll n donut also has been our donut supplier for our wrestling tournaments the last 2 years and we have people from all over come and tell us how good these donuts are! Some people say they were most excited for the donuts instead of the actual tournament!”

Every time I’m back in town visiting family, it’s the first place I go for lunch or dinner—and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff always goes above and beyond. I only wish there were a Baker’s Street closer to me in the suburbs—nothing else compares.”

“I consider myself a connoisseur of pizza. And lately, my son and I have been on a mission to compare and rate deep dish (Chicago style) pizzas in Rockford and the Greater Chicago area. We ordered deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza for pickup. We were not disappointed. The sauce was very fresh and sweet with tomato chunks in it. So delicious! And the price was very reasonable compared to others. Now our number 1!!! We will be back!!!”
