“Fun place for all ages. Menu is overwhelming awesome. Great food choices for any mood and hand cut fresh fries! Life-size Ironman surprised me. I thought he would move! Franchise? I'm interested, St Louis.Kid-friendliness: Every age kid will love this place. They have life size Batman and my son would go crazy; he's 27!“
“This is the best place to eat in belvidere. Thank you for putting the dinning room back in. The service and the new owners are awsome. The all really turned coach's Corner in to a family friendly place. My 4 year old son loves the gaming area. He's become a pinball master! Chef coach keeps us coming back with the daily secret menu.Kid-friendliness: A peaceful atmosphere both in bar area and dining room. Plus the gaming area is a great spot to play together.Wheelchair accessibility: Level entry way. Low top tables and booths in dining room. Owners are fast to accommodate any and all special requests for their guest's needs“
“Not bad food and decent for the cost. Massive spot but well priced. Good looking menu and good service even on a slow day. Kitchen is well run and food looks good. Luckily, food is priced accordingly.I got the Beef wellington, i can never pass it up. For $39 it lives up to the price tag. However misses the mark… slightly cold and quite bland. It is unfortunately covered in a bland cream that over powers any redeeming quality. Good ingredients, but then a frozen/ premade sauce on top just ruins it. So much potential, but no creativity. Make your own sauce or give it some color and you can charge 10 bucks more.Cheap drinks and good wine list make it redeeming. So much potential being off the highway… disappointing but overall solid.A good sauce would make it a must stop off I-90 Nothing else good in 100 miles.“
“It was what we were looking for, a Super traditional and very packed Friday night fish fry. It’s not fancy and it was pretty loud. The peak dining hour is 6 PM and you’ll have to wait a few minutes but they turned the tables over quickly. Walleye, Cod, and Salmon are the hot items but the whole menu is available so everyone should be able to get something they want. Limited desserts but they looked pretty good.“
“My wife and I had a lovely visit. Zoe was attentive and checked on us regularly. This was our first visit, so we tried the Bonefire to get a taste of everything. The ribs and steak were great! The veggies were okay, but could be cooked with some char to add depth of flavor. The Korean Pork Belly pops were phenomenal! We finished with fresh donuts, which were to fantastic. Great first visit ?“
“Every time I have breakfast at Neli's I enjoy my morning. I'm always pleasantly surprised by how fast they have my order ready. They are always reasonably affordable, and attentive to refilling coffee and other beverages. Love this restaurant!“
“We visited yesterday, and the food was incredible. Our group ordered veggie wraps, boneless wings, a burger and a Reuben. We also sampled the tuna appetizer. Everything was phenomenal! Wishing I would have taken a picture of their house moscato. It’s phenomenal as well.“
“I'm always searching for a great place to take friends and family when they're visiting from out of town and this place definitely checks out all the boxes. Food is delicious, good selection of drinks and the place is very spacious. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back “
“The Food Was Great, Lightly Seasoned &Just Right for the taste buds! ? It reminded me of my Grandmother's Sunday cooking &how we sat around the table Enjoying each other &laughter filled the place!! The portion sizes was More than Enough for 2 Days or to Share, it Definitely Fills you Up! ? It's Certainly A place to go to &eat Or take home!! ? ?10 ????“
“It is absolutely amazing! The food is beyond compare! The Bison Ribeye was the best peace of meat I have ever had and im 57 yrs old. Me and my wife absolutely love it. 100 percent perfect in every way. The staff is wonderful and polite. The atmosphere is one of a kind.“
“We are out of towners and I'm so GLAD we picked this gem. I ordered the brisket sandwich, delicious although next time I'm getting the slaw on the side. We also ordered the fried pickle burger and sweet chicken burger, both awesome. The home cut fries damn good. The beer on tap and handcrafted mixed drink "Irish maid" were both on point, delicious. I highly recommend this place. Music and service was top notch.“
“Family-owned, very friendly staff, always clean if not a little dated, and excellent food quality and quantity. Always busy on weekends, yet always a short wait even then. Great specials listed daily on the board up front. Waitstaff is extremely helpful and sweet, we're regulars to the point that many of the girls - and the owners - know us by name. When we go on Sunday mornings we see many of the same people every week enjoying breakfast, and many large family gatherings as well. Highly recommend this restaurant, try it - you won't be sorry.“
“The all you can eat riblets were amazing, even my kids loved them. I like the range of sides for the kids menu. Melissa was great and made sure we had everything we needed. We got our food fast and we were very happy.Kid-friendliness: The entree and side options for kids is great. They asked if we would like our kids food first since they cook faster so they didn't have to wait, even though our wait was short already!“
“We came here with a big group of our family so we were stretched across 4 tables which is completely fine. We expected this as I know their seating is limited. I would recommend a reservation as this location is very busy. But the food is fantastic and the drinks are great! We had 2 different servers for our group which is great! They both were very attentive and everything was brought out quickly and correctly. I will always recommend this steak house!Parking: Paved parking lot for part, the other part is a field right off the paved lot.Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu here that does include steak.“
“Amazing place for happy hour and then some. Drinks were great, and delicious food. Bartenders really know how to make you feel comfortable. Big screens for watching the games, pool table & darts, with a jukebox with a wide variety of music to choose from that has all the latest music. Check it soon and enjoy like I did.“
“Ya cannot go wrong with anything on the culvers menu. This place holds so much nostalgia for me but even without the fond memories the food still is good quality. They have consistency, quality, and good flavor in everything they make. It feels fresh and yet it’s still considered “fast food”“
“So thankful we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We were looking to try a new little spot and didn't realize we would find a new favorite! We shared the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls, the Reuben and the Ribs and loved them all. Overall very casual environment with great service from Tim! Thanks for hosting us. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other menu items!“
“This place is a delight! I had never eaten a malted waffle before, but let me tell you, they are the best waffles I have ever had! Light, fluffy, and so flavorful!! The prices are good (no gouging here!), the staff is super nice and attentive, and though the place is small, it doesn’t at all feel cramped - just friendly! Highly recommend!!“
“Becoming more of a dive bar which is kind of sad. Food good as always, A CRIME that the waffle fries were replaced by generic cafeteria fries. Also look up the review by “Sand Serpent” or search “burger” I have never seen a more woke idiot in my life. Really gave me a laugh and def keeps me coming “
“I haven't been here since my cross country team days in high school! The place has been redone inside and it's beautiful! Loved the coziness of the place. The staff was energetic and just amazing! The cost of the food is reasonable by all standards and from my breakfast skillet I literally got 4 meals out of it! I definitely would recommend this place!Parking: Big open parking lot, for a bunch of businesses right around the restaurant, but there's always plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid menuWheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp to get into the restaurant.“
“Ok let me start by saying they have one of the biggest selections of non-alcoholic beers. Service was absolutely amazing and the server was very knowledgeable of what they had in stock and what was not in stock. Being that we were there for Saint Patrick's Day they informed us that they did have green beer and they can make any beer green but it would be food coloring. I highly recommend it if you just want to come and hang out here for one beer or make it your daily hangout.“
“Cool bar where it's not so dusty inside. Dusty Boots is one of the local bars in Rockford, better for drinking than eating to be honest. It has a pretty limited food menu. Has lots of TVs for watching games. There's also other fun stuff like slots. A lot of times this place isn't that busy. It had a pretty good crowd the last time for an evening. The area around the bar gets the most people. It's about $7 for a cocktail. The Green Hawaiian is a good one. Cool color. This is Blue Curacao, Malibu rum, mango purée, pineapple juice, and Sprite. As for the food, not much great. It's about $8 for Sweet Potato Fries, and that's about it as far as vegetarian. Has lots of meaty choices. These looked to be greasy. Have a fun time watching or playing games while getting drunk and eating some mediocre food. It's one of the better bars around here to be honest. This place gets crowded for games because there's plenty of TVs for watching.“
“I don't post online very often, but after sitting behind Janet, who left the 1 star review tonight, and the lady she was with, I just had to. They irritated everyone that sat around them with their negative attitudes because they complained about everything the entire time we were there. We had Kimberly as a waitress too and have had her before in the past and never have had a bad experience. Kimberly did her best to be patient with them while they were there. The two of them reminded me of two old "Karen's" that are never happy and complain about anything. We spoke with the people who sat on the other side of them and they complained about Janet and her guest's negative attitudes as well. Janet and her guest made the dining experience for everyone around them uncomfortable. My wife and I have been coming to eat at Sophia's for over 5 years and have always had good service. Sophia's serves homemade style comfort food and have always done their best to make sure we wanted to come back. No restaurant is perfect all the time, but Sophia's and their staff have always done their best to make our meal and dining experience a good one.“
“We were three couples dining on a Wednesday at 5 pm. We were seated right away on time. It wasn't too busy but they had only 2 servers for the whole restaurant and one bus person and one bartender. So a very slight delay was understandable. Beverages came right away. The meals were to come with our meals. The relish dish was the size of a soap dish on your sink. It contained 2-carrot sticks; 2-celery sticks and 2 mini dill pickles. I asked the wait person if they considered that a relish tray? Yes it is. For 6 diners? Yes. Informed for $3.99 we could add more relishes. So that was a bump in the meal . Soup, salad and bread basket were fine. Steaks and salmon were good. Could have been 5 stars but for a pathetic relish tray. Service was very good.“
“The bartender, Lindsey is phenomenal. She takes care of customers and isn't afraid to take on obnoxious ones that need to be handled. The night was much more enjoyable because she was here. Food is tasty and the price is right. $2 16 oz drafts hit the spot too. Love the patio.“
“Love Cracker Barrel. This is my families favorite restaurant! Love the atmosphere and the fireplace!Vegetarian options: I am a vegetarian and there are plenty of things to order.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids menu that is reasonable. My grandson loves their pancakes, grilled cheese and macaroni.“
“We love the restaurant and their food is AWESOME, we went yesterday to the Easter buffet brunch and everything was delicious!! And we had a great waitress. We will be coming to the Easter buffet next year! We come here for my birthdays and comfort feel home cooked meals . Highly recommend.“
“This is a great small town place with extremely friendly service and fun events on different nights of the week. Taco Tuesdays are tasty and light on your wallet. In the cold months there are a variety of apple pie shots to choose from. We enjoy Mort's regularly!“
“So I ordered funnel cakes on my last order & they had no powdered sugar on them when I got home, so I thought maybe if you get the dip that you don't get powdered sugar. So today I brought it up when ordering & when I got home was super impressed!! I even called to thank them for exceptional customer service. They put several containers of powdered sugar & the manager put an extra container of caramel for dunking. I had only asked for chocolate, but because I ordered a caramel shake he was kind enough to throw a little container of caramel too. I was so impressed that someone thought that far & was so kind to me!! Thanks so much!! ?“
“Always a great experience. Drinks are reasonably priced. Bathrooms are clean and well taken care of. Have a decent selection of drinks. Dining is opened limited hours, but the food is good. Staff is awesome as are the members - very welcoming and friendly. Seems like there's always something interesting going on here and it's open to the public during membership drives. Great to support this veterans organization!“
“Their food isnt cheap but everything is always delicious and brought out promptly. Their bread is warm and soft where you really don't need an app especially since most entrées include a salad also. Cesar salads were extremely good.Their margaritas are some of my favorite. Doesn't even taste like tequila is in there. We have never had a problem with anything here. This is my current favorite place to go out.“
“We were looking for somewhere new to eat. We decided to try Alchemy boy were we impressed. Not only was the food fabulous but the service was outstanding! Never once did we have to ask for refills. We will definitely be returning. I can’t wait to eat in one of the outdoor bubbles this winter.“
“First time I've been. service was very polite and timely, checked on me appropriately timed. There was quite a few people there and my service was still good with one bar tender. FOOD I had a frisco burger medium well, onion rings and teriyaki wings omg was delicious! Burger was good to perfection onion rings decent breading nice crisp to them. Will definitely be returning to try a different Burger.“
“A cute, small hole in the wall with delicious and reasonably priced food. You can get two to three meals for under $20 dollars. The food is always fresh and I love getting the Mr. B special! The folks working there make you feel like family. I love coming here over and over! Highly recommend.“
“First time coming here and I absolutely enjoyed my time. Had the Olive Cheddar Burger and it was leaps and bounds better than a burger I had last night that was twice the price. Easily the best cheese curds I've had this week, and I've had them from three different places so far. If I wasn't moving across the country I would definitely be coming back.“
“This place has been a Belvidere staple for many years. They are under different ownership. The food quality is, and has always been great. Service is usually very fast and efficient, but like all places today, that can vary, as it is harder to get and retain staff. But the only complaint with this restaurant is, the pricing. It's a little like going to buy a new car. You never know what you will end up paying. Start with the menu. It lists 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast at under $7.00. It actually is around double that. There are also various add on's they charge for, like using a credit/ debit card. That is not, listed on the menu. I understand the business pays a fee for accepting credit transaction's. However, there are quite a few benefits. First, you do not have to make change with a customer. Not many people realize it, but banks charge their commercial customers a fee per roll, for getting coins. You do not have to count the money, and balance it with expected receipts. Nobody has to take the money to the bank to deposit it, which is a safety risk. A lot of businesses use a service like brinks, which is an additional cost. Credit/ Debit transactions are posted to your account within 24 hours. Cash transactions will depend on when you get the money to the bank, and they count it. On a holiday weekend, it could take 4 days. Most smart businesses might adjust prices 2-3%, if they wanted to pass this cost on. But penalizing customers for using it, is short sighted. And the menu- I am sure there have been quite a few customers who get " sticker shock" from this. I have talked to the owner on a number of occasions. He has complained about how slow they are, during the week. Seems to me, running senior specials during this time period, might help him out. Embracing technology, like credit/ debit cards, is a must. Being honest and forthright by having a menu that actually reflects your prices, should be a given. Belvidere has lost quite a few restaurants since the pandemic. The Stellantis plant is expanding and will be bringing in a lot of new jobs. Your future should be secure. Be honest, and transparent, and the loyalty of Boone county will support you, for years to come. Had a reply from someone who says the menu prices are correct. Unless they printed a new menu while being closed for their plumbing issue, this is not true.“
“Food good but not terribly imaginative. Service very good, but prices are definitely inflated. We were there during the end of the lunch rush and it was quite noisy. I mean by that many customers who seemed only able to carry on a conversation by shouting as if the table was 50 feet wide between them.“
“Only thing was our hostess who sat us....acted like she didn't want to be there and no smile on her face. (East State, Rockford). She was that way with everyone. She definitely didn't enjoy her job and shouldn't be the face of Applebee's.“
“Okay, the vibe is that of a bar with slot machines and darts, and most of the food is typical bar fare. BUT. There are a couple Indian food choices on the menu; carryovers from when the owner was trying to fuse Indian food with a tavern atmosphere. That's what I ate, and let me tell you, the Indian food the owner made for me was well worth the trip. It was phenomenal. The owner was also great to talk to; I came at a weird time and the place was mostly empty, so we had a nice long conversation while I ate at the bar. He owns a full Indian restaurant out in the suburbs, which I fully intend to go to the next time I'm in town.If the food I ate was any indication, I'm sure the more "traditional" bar fare is delicious, too, but I just need it to be known that this place unexpectedly delighted me!“
“Although I do not always have pleasant experience when I visit Dennys. Today was the exception to the rule food was great service great and Restaurant was very clean. Alex was my waitress and she was professional, courteous and great. I’ll add this one to the list!!!!“
“Yesss buttt we have been here numerous times but last night was a bad experience. Started with us needing seating for 7 people and dining room was half full and was told there is no room so we elected to sit 7 people at 6 top table in bar. Before the rest of party showed up (which was 4 people) the dining room cleared out yet we were told we couldn’t sit there because they were short servers. One entree had a long hair in it and we were offered either a remake or discount. Opted for discount because no guarantee on the entree, discount was 50% not sure if that’s the norm or not. My entree was the cheese and pesto ravioli which only had 5 ravioli for nearly $17. We were there to celebrate a good friends bday with her kids and spouses who have never been there, unfortunately I don’t think I sold them on your place. Waitress was nice and timely but other experiences last night have left a bitter taste.“
“There was only 2 people working at the bar and on the serving floor but they were phenomenal and made it work! Great place to go for a drink, to listen to some live music, or a meal. Definitely would recommend Poison Ivy Pub & will forsure be back.“
“Sorry, did not eat here recently. This has always been a place my family picked for special occasions and celebrations. Everyone of us loved the salad bar. Food has always been good too, but no other place stood out for their salad bar. We are from Wisconsin, there are several dinner clubs closer to us that we also enjoy. Without your exceptional salad bar, we will probably pick other dinner clubs. Wish you the best. Found out when I called for reservations for a birthday celebration next Friday about this change. My friend specifically asked about your salad bar. My family and friends will find another place to celebrate. Weird, but this made me sad. I guess, just thinking about how many celebrations we have had at Hoffman House. Nostalgic moments, knowing that we will probably not be coming in the future. I have ordered food from you for holidays so will probably still do that, salad bar doesn't count for catered food.“
“I can only speak to their breakfasts but they make one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Stuffed with filling, evenly spaced ingredients, thin tortilla with a nice sear. The chorizo and the regular both are fantastic. The burritos in themselves make me come here. But I also return for the fabulous service. They're always fast and friendly. Great little neighborhood spot and one of our favorites for breakfast!“
