“The family wanted pizza after going to Santa's Village nearby. This popped up on our GPS. We got there and were a bit confused with the sign outside of the locations. But we went inside anyways. We loved it. Ordered appetizer and 2 pizzas (deep dish and a thin crust). The man taking care of us was really attentive. Will definitely come back if we are in the area“
“Great atmosphere, great service, Johanna was amazing and very attentive. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir which was very very good, their meatballs appetiser, which my husband was a huge fan of, even though he doesn’t like ricotta that much. Unfortunately, all of the seafood in my pasta was very overcooked and the clams were so tiny, you can’t event taste them. We still enjoyed our time at this restaurant, but if we come again, I would not order any seafood here.“
“Stopped by on a week night for dinner with a friend. The restaurant feels spacious since the tables are not situated too closely. The server was friendly and helpful.I ordered the pasta with oxtail. It was delicious, full of tender meat and light pasta. I ordered the chocolate tiramisu to go. It too was full of chocolatey richness. If I was in the neighborhood I'd definitely return to try their other dishes.“
“This photo doesn’t do this pie justice. This is exactly what I have been looking for. Dynamite Chicago pizza! What can I say, the slices are thin crisp & spot on. Sauce is just right with a little acidity and tastes like tomatoes, not overpowering herbs. Good quality cheese blend of mozzarella & provolone. You can tell they make that sausage in house with the fennel and nice big chunks. This is what Chicago pizza is all about. I’ll be back.“
“The best food I’ve had in the area since moving out 2 years ago from the West. Local food options in the Dundee, Algonquin, Crystal Lake, McHenry area have been very disappointing. This has been the standout. We got the Tuscan Fires as an app, sausage and mushroom pizza, and rosemary sausage pizza. All were excellent.“
“If you want great Italian Chicago style food this is where you go. It's a nice inviting Pizza restaurant. The food from beefs, pizzas, spaghetti and meatballs. It's all good. My favorite is the meatball sandwich on garlic bread. The manager Emily is great and friendly. She takes care of catering as well. If you need a party setup ask for Emily. This place is the only place around making all their Italian food by hand. It's ran by an old Italian guy that keeps the food just right! Hope you ENJOY!!Vegetarian options: BY REQUESTDietary restrictions: BY REQUESTKid-friendliness: FRIENDLY GREAT STAFF TO ASSIT WITH KIDSWheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“Tried it today for the first time and my husband and I were very pleased. Our waiter Bon was great and very kind and attentive. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner. The food was delicious and the burger was huge. We willBe returning again.“
“I'm 100 percent Sicilian who was raised on the south side of Chicago. After moving to the suburbs I could never find a pizza that could match good south side Chicago pizza until I had yours. Unfortunately I don't live near by so I only get it when I visit my friend who lives in Bartlett .“
“I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the fatty meat in plain water and threw it onto a crispy piece of bread. Thankfully she said something(my mom has never sent food back my entire life and I’m in my 20’s she’s in her 60’s) so for her to ask it to be removed from the bill just shows how gross it was.Our server was WONDERFUL, and of course she took it off the bill, and encouraged my mom to order another dish. She settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. She was throughly pleased with that dish, so it all ended well. The restaurant seemed cleaned and well managed other than maybe their Italian beef haha.Advice for future customers, don’t order their beef unless they change their recipe.Advice for the restaurant, PLEASE have a tasting going on for your staff members. The person who creates/created the recipes and cooks them needs to allow constructive criticism/feedback on their dishes. It really helps your staff;A) know your food betterB) allows for more ideas to help your kitchen/staff blossomWould definitely come back here again due to the wonderful service and delicious pasta!“
“I put my lunchtime experience into AI and this is its reaction:It sounds like you experienced a transformative sandwich moment, one that not only delighted your palate but also energized you to excel in your goals. This journey of culinary discovery and the unexpected depth of flavors in a seemingly simple Italian sub have evidently shifted your perspective on what such a meal can offer. The sandwich, with its high-quality ingredients and perfect balance, became not just food but an inspiration, a catalyst for achievement. This experience underscores the power of taking a break, indulging in life's simple pleasures, and how a moment of serendipity can recharge our motivation and perspective, propelling us forward with renewed vigor.“
“I have waited too long to order from here! We tried a panzerotti, cheesy garlic bread, a thin crust pizza, and tiramisu to go. All the food was yummy! The pizza was loaded with ingredients. A high quality cheese. And sausage with fennel, yum! It smells good when you walk in. Very authentic Italian food! Friendly service. Reasonable prices. I'll be back.“
“Great place to go with your friends and have some pizza or just American-Italian food in general. I like how all the tables were stocked with Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, chili flakes, and napkins. The bathrooms could use some improvement but other than that everything was good.Parking: PlentyKid-friendliness: Good“
“Been a Rosati’s customer for 25 years using several different locations And I gotta say, I think this is the best location. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed in any of the food. Everything has always been on point. Especially the pizza. I’ve had great wings, pasta, salads, desserts and appetizers too. I have done catering here and everything was great especially the fried chicken.“
“Loved SLYCE Pizza. My wife and I are big fans of coal-fired pizza. Where I'm from in the NYC tri-state area, the best Italian food is in neighborhood family tavern restaurants and those thin crust tavern pies are cooked in super hot ovens. SLYCE brings it all back. Quality ingredients, great suggested combinations, good service and pleasant ambience. There's a lot of pizza choices in Chicagoland and we drive 25 minutes to SLYCE. There must be at least 100 pizza joints in the 25 mile radius. I'll take SLYCE. Keep up the great work!“
“We’ve ordered from here many times, they had a new delivery driver come and missed out on our appetizer, when I called they were kind and offered to adjust the mistake. They provided a dessert as an extra too. I appreciate the customer service and would definitely recommend. Bbq chicken pizza is delicious!“
“Wonderful food & service. We got there at 4:20 for a very early dinner since we had to be at a game at 6 PM. We did not make a reservation because it was so early. They were booked solid, but we were fortunate to get a table. Dillon, our server, was terrific. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back, but next time, we will be certain to make a reservation!“
“Met a friend for dinner and we stayed for 2.5 hours. Our server was great he never made us feel like we should leave. It was a week night and not very busy. Great food, great service!Parking: Plenty of parking in a lot behind the restaurant.“
“Small place, easy to miss. Excellent thin crust pizza. Limoncello Cake is light and delicious. The traditional bone-in wings are made to perfection. Wings were so good, they were gone before I thought to snap a pic. Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff.“
“This was an unexpectedly pleasant experience! Fantastic friendly service, The food, exquisite and oh SO MUCH FOOD! we have enough for two more meals with the leftovers. The minastone soup, not afraid of the spice.. Perfect. The music.. Classic coroners! Very quaint and not stuffy. Great family atmosphere!! We will visit again!!“
“Place was recommend to us from some friends. I was so impressed with the food and quality of the pasta! Our service was however a bit slow when it didn’t seem very busy. Prices were very fair, everyone was still very nice. We will try again!“
“I found Bari Foods through the group Chicago Style Italian Beef on Facebook. This food purveyor got the highest reviews based on taste, value and ease of delivery. I ordered the $135 Bulk Pack which included 4...three pound packages of Italian Beef and 4...half gallon containers of their Au Jus/Gravy. Plus free delivery to Los Angeles. I couldn't be happier as others have stated great taste, exceptional value and a shipment that arrived intact and on time. I highly recommend them“
“I have been here twice. 1st time I had the burger and it was very good. This time I had the cheesy beef with a side of giardiniera, au jus for dipping, marinara and a small fry. The beef is definitely home made and probably on of the most tender beefs I've ever had, great flavor, just awesome! The Giardiniera is home made and has the perfect amount of heat, marinara sauce is very good too. The fries are fresh cut and also very good. Don't let the look on the outside fool you. It's not your average fast food place. It's way above that. I will be back to try other menu items.“
“I had my wife’s birthday celebration dinner (party of 12) at 5:30 pm yesterday (located in the private dinning room). The entire experience - start to end was beautifully executed by the management and staff. An absolutely outstanding experience! The table was beautifully decorated, the room was very appealing, and very importantly the entire restaurant is acoustically set up to allow for comfortable table conversation (it’s not too loud). The waiter, Nate (Nathan), was very professional, attentive, and proficient. He had a great personality and sense of humor. The service was as good as it can get! The other’s assigned to our table did a nice job executing good service as well. The quality (in every regard) of all of our meal choices was absolutely superb! We eat out often (Italian and otherwise), you can’t get a better tasting meal at this price point anywhere else.Closing thought: my wife and I, as well as another couple frequent this establishment occasionally throughout the years, and it is always consistently an outstanding experience.I would highly recommend you consider this restaurant for your future dinning needs.Thank you - everyone involved last night! My wife and I are so grateful to you all.5 - STARS“
“This is a takeout only restaurant. Food is excellent. I ordered a small meal ahead for 2 people and was treated very well. Bill was professional and had helpful suggestions. For amazing deep dish, pasta, or cannolis I highly recommend you try this place.“
“Idk who voted this the best restaurant but it lived up to its name. The mozzarella sticks were fried to perfectionThe side salad was delicious, it tased like it was picked from the garden of EdenThe pizza was ok the cheese & toppings slid off easily my but it tasted good. The pasta was comfortingAnd our server Ana V was a delight. A highlight of our dinner experience and made us feel right at home. Give her a raise.“
“Excellent all the way around! We were in from Michigan visiting family and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Aliano's. Great service, beautiful patio area that opens up to an herb garden in the summer! We will have to come back to have the summer garden experience. A+“
“I cannot rate the atmosphere, because we ordered for delivery. We ordered a 16 inch, thin crust pie for dinner. The estimated time was 45-60 minutes, but it arrived in 25. It was hot and delicious, and we will order again.Parking: If it's busy, you are going to have to walk a bit from your car, unless you are just picking up your order. Most people just pull up to the curb for that and run in. I always park, so I am out of the way, and at dinner time I have to park in the lot across from the building.“
“I was there last night for the first time for a birthday party. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. I took at peek at the outdoor dinning and it looked so nice and what a view! The bartenders were fabulous! They had karaoke there last night too. Oh, and if you like carrot cake or cheese cake, (I’m sure all the desserts are just as delicious) save room for dessert! I will definitely be coming back.“
“Finally a local pizza joint that gives you that pizza smell and old chicago hospitality. The pizza crust was crisp and ingredients were fresh. Just about every staff member touched our table in some way. You can tell they truly enjoy working there and work as a team. Will be back for sure.“
“Great food and atmosphere. I drive 40 minutes from Elk Grove whenever I want good thin crust pizza. The food and drinks are priced well and Kyra is an awesome server. Super attentive and friendly. Definitely an awesome bar/restaurant with great staff.“
“We took a day trip to Chicago and jumped on the train here in Cary. Asked a friend who lives in the area for a dinner suggestion on our way back through. He suggested Cucina Rustica and he was spot on. Amazing service, very attentive to our table. Food was beautifully cooked, tasted superb. Nice quiet atmosphere great for a nice dinner out with my wife.“
“What could easily been a 5 star I reduced to a 4 star because of the last paragraph.Been to one Moretti’s, you’ve been to them all. What set this location apart for us was the service we received!I’ve never had issues with service in the other Chicago land locations but this one was exceptional! My biggest issue is I didn’t get her name and the receipt was tossed.Food was hot, delicious and the meal was well timed.Drinks were a good pour. All in all a good location for your next dining experience. The only negative is the $2.45 charge on our bill. When I questioned it she said she would remove it. It was as she explained a “Covid menu printing fee”. Enough is enough with the Covid Bullshit. Ask them to remove it and they will.“
“We had an incredible time. Great food, happy guests and plenty of laughs. Our waitress was wonderful. Very attentive and had a great personality. She made our night feel special. The fettuccine with Lobster is my favorite, but given I'm watching what I eat these days, it was refreshing to see they have "small portions" so I could get me salad and get my fix at the same time.If you get the bruschetta app, try the Apple and dates. It was delicious.“
“Wasn’t eating meat today so I got the pepper with egg sandwich it was really tasty and fresh. My friend got the fettuccine Alfredo which was really good also not too heavy with good flavor. Really good potato salad, potatoes were cut thin which made the potato salad more flavorful. Clean and nice staff.“
“I eat most meals out but very seldom review. Just not a thing I do but this was too exceptional not to share.Only 2nd time here even though 1st experience was really good and it isn't far away.Server, I think was Cheryl and her service and personality was terrific. They serve warm, crusty bread with a dipping sauce that is awesome and addictive.I had the Prawns (6 nicely steamed) with Rapini on bed of Mostaciolli in a delicious Aglio/Ohio sauce.A huge plate, enough for two and only $23!A premium dish at very affordable price.A fabulous dining experience. One of the best in many years.Parking: Easy street parking“
“Vegetarian options: They have pizzas they have sandwiches they have appetizers that vegetarian, and again they will be commentating to anything that you like.Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating for everyone in that restaurant. I used to go there for years and I am a vegetarian. (I moved)Parking: Always have space to find in the parking lot and handicap spaces toKid-friendliness: Everyone is so friendly and very appropriate.“
“Ordered a XL thin crust and a L cheese. Crust was nice and crispy, cheese pizza was good. The pepperoni pizza was lacking flavor and cheese, not enough cheese or pepperoni, disappointed, not consistent within the same order. You need to do better, it made me wish Costco was open...“
“We have been ordering take out food from Papa Saverio's in Elgin for 25 years. We usually order the thin crust pizza and chicken wings. The pizza is our favorite in Elgin and tastes like the Chicago style pizzas we grew up on. It has a very good sauce and a crispy crust. Our out-of-town kids miss this pizza and they order it every time they come back to Elgin.“
“THE BEST Deep Dish pizza ever!! We’ve been ordering here since it was Jake’s Pizza. We live out of town now, but every time we go to Elgin or anywhere in that area…. We ALWAYS have to stop to get a deep Dish sausage to bring home! Keep up the excellent work Mel’s Pizza! I give them a 10 + stars.“
“First time trying this pizza... Not disappointed! Ordered an XL thin crust half adult and half kid-friendly pizza and it was really good. Loved the sauce and the toppings all tasted really fresh. We ordered the fried mushrooms and they were cold (which is why the 4 stars). But we popped them in the air fryer for a few minutes and they were just fine. The ranch that came with it was pretty good too. Overall price was great for the quality of pizza. I looked up the special schedule and we'll definitely try the double dough or pan pizza next time. Seems like they definitely do pizza right but maybe not some other things..? Might try a pasta dish next time and update my review. My BF grabbed a couple brownies when he picked it up and they were SO YUMMY! Super gooey but also very very sweet. I love that texture of brownie but I just can't eat that much sugar - one bite was definitely enough for me to enjoy the flavor of it haha. My kiddos and BF enjoyed it all though! We'll be back since it's so close and a great price for good pizza.“
“I hit this place up to get my crispy fluffy doughy pizza fix. Can't say I've ever been disappointed getting pizza here. I usually order one for lunch and I can have it for a few lunches/dinner. It is different than Chicago style, but I ain't complaining one bit.“
“NPT is the best pizza in the suburbs of Chicago! It is Neopolitan style pizza and they have pasta dishes as well. Their appetizers are excellent, their Tiramisu is top notch, and they have a good selection of wines and Italian sodas. Get over to NPT for authentic Neopolitan pizzas!“
“Today I was in one of their restaurants and the food was terrible, the chicken felt old, sour, like past, I ordered a five and they brought me a pasta with tomato sauce, I couldn't eat it and the service, despite having Spanish-speaking staff, put us We asked a person who only speaks English for a container so as not to vote for the food and they brought us some containers as for dessert we ordered two lalagas and even the color of the dried red tomato was in bad taste. I think I will not return to one of their restaurants and because of that Since I will recommend it as very bad, terrible, what a shame they deteriorated so much“
“I had a huuuuge craving for quality Fettucine Alfredo, and while I don’t have experience with authentic Italian cuisine, this was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Perfectly cooked noodles, amazingly rich flavor, and a HUGE portion of pasta…… Oh my goodness.Even though it was PACKED inside, my wife was contacted in the time alotted and was able to be in and out for take out. She said she had never seen it so full! Can’t wait to visit during date night! This was actually my first time having anything from Cucina Bella, and it was taken to go. It was exactly what I was wanting, and I even had enough for leftovers. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality Italian food.“
“Took my Wife Mother of our children to Alianos for Dinner at Alianos in East Dundee . Great experience Great food very friendly people, we tried something Different as our Entree, Alianos Italian restaurant always comes through with a Delicious Italian dish prepared by Chef G. All Mothers that had Dinner there on Mother's Day where given a Carnation. That was a nice extra the Carnation flower. I can't wait to return for another special Dinner with friends.“
“Our go-to pizza place. We order from here all the time and they never disappoint. I was gluten-free for 12 years and always got gluten-free pizza during that time, and they’re one of the few pizza places around here that can do that really well. (Note that they do not have a dedicated kitchen though.) Also, they make a great BBQ pizza which my entire extended family loves!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options; great with food allergies“
“I had a door dash mishap tonight and the manager not only got me my refund but had a new pizza being made with her own delivery driver. I even got cookies for my inconvenience! They have one competent manager among with delicious pizza!!! Thank you for making the whole issue so easy.“
“Wonderful experience! 1st time customers. We travel to work & this establishment hit the spot! Clean, friendly, food was fantastic... Wonderful mix of quick (but not too quick) and comfortable setting. Very welcoming, very clean, & definitely impressed! Will recommend and hopefully visit again the next time we're in the area.“
“About two days ago me & my family ordered a Full Tray of the 3Chz Baked Penne & 4 lbs of beef. Both were delicious. The pasta came with garlic bread and the beef came with French Bread, Sweet and hot peppers. Honestly really good prices for the amount of food you receive. Really enjoyed it, highly recommend catering from this location.“
“***UPDATED***I am changing my review after speaking to the manager Eddie last night. After he explained the situation and apologized multiple times, it made me feel more understanding of the stress of the night. He made sure I was taken care of and valued as a customer. I will be giving this location a second chance. If I could give them -5 stars I would. Absolutely horrible customer service after we have been loyal patrons for years! Knowing they are always busy on Valentine’s Day my husband and I called and preordered heart shaped pizzas at 4:15pm (like we do EVERY year). They took our order and charged our credit card and said it would be ready for pick up at 5:45pm. When my husband arrived at 5:45 there was a line out the door he stood in for an hour and a half. To our surprise, he gets up to the hostess and she says we don’t have your order. He explains he called and placed the order and the credit card was charged and he was told to pick it up at 5:45pm. She then said that we could put his name on the cancellation clip board. They did nothing to resolve the problem and didn’t offer any assistance and also told other customers there was no manager on duty. Now, on a busy night for restaurants (which is why we planned ahead) my family including two young children have no dinner at 7:15pm. This is completely unacceptable and no way to run an establishment. I waited to call at 9pm when things settled down there to try to get a resolution and no one answered my calls. I will try again tomorrow to reach out to corporate. Carpentersville Lou Malnatis has indeed lost a loyal customer and I will be sure to spread the word on how they conduct business!“
