I’m here to rave about the service, from the hostess to the bartender, to our most wonderful waiter, thank you. For a 5 pm, music was very very loud. We weren’t sure what to expect and were very hungry. Food came out quick. From everything we ordered, the naan was our favorite. Solid spot for an early evening.
Monarch and Lion is GORGEOUS!! A cozy upscale bar tucked away in the heart of downtown Chicago. What a place to escape the hustle and have a drink and relax. Staff is friendly and honestly you feel like an adult at a Gryffindor bar! We didn’t try the food, we were in the hunt for the best bars in Chicago! And Monarch and Lion is definitely in the top 5!

The chicken Tikka misala was delicious! As was the Naan. That said, the total cost was $35+ for a small dish of chicken and an order of Naan. Again, it was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, but it was a little overpriced.
