“This was the most flavorful meal I have had in years! We asked for house picks and shared amongst 3 of us. AMAZING. Service exceptional. The staff all helped each other with smiles- so nice to see. Chef Joe Flamm was present, pleasant and engaged with staff and customers. Treat yourself to something special.”
“This is my third visit to this upscale Italian restaurant in downtown. I love their service as the staffs notes down all our requests and suggest the best for us. The menu is vegetarian friendly or you can request to customise. The star dish was their ricotta dumplings. It’s a 10/10 for me. Every item that we ordered was delicious. We got a complimentary birthday cake as we’re celebrating a friend’s birthday. I would highly recommend this place in downtown for a good Italian dinner.Vegetarian options: Pastas, bread, potatoes, aranciniDietary restrictions: They are open to customisation of the dish according to your dietary preferencesParking: Parking is difficult to find as it’s in downtown but paid street parking is available.”

“My son had done some photography (OMWP Photography 2108 Armitage) work for the business and had tried the cuisine. Raved about it. Sent me photos. Hence why we were there tonight. I took him out. My pleasure. The owner Zyra gracious and caring. I had Potato soup that was incredible. A Chicken Tostada Zyras moms recipe and she made a couple changes the sauces wow! The steaks I had a Ribeye. One of the best ever. I have dined at all the high end eateries steak joints in the city. This place is a gem. Had to try the desert. We had a chocolate flourless fudge cake. We indulged. I wish Zyra and her husband much success. Jacob Kaufman and I will be back. Thanks, L. Kaufman DDS”
“Absolutely adorable decor as you step into this neighborhood local joint, filled with music legend memorabilia and tv's lit with tunes from Queen. The menu is simple with each burger having its own personality. Each sandwich can be made into a chicken sandwich or a meatless veggie option as well. Had the curds and Parmesan fries on the side. Cute trivia cards to entertain you and your table guests. Was excellent quality food, and wonderfully friendly service.”
“A wonderful cozy restaurant with a comfortable feel to it. The food is delicious with different varieties for everyone. The Bolognesse sauce is on point. Great restaurant for the whole family.”
“If you need to get away from the computers and talk this is a one of a kind place in Chicago to visit. I highly recommend if you need yoga for the mind. Very nice owner as well. 10 plus, 5 star, boom! Thanks for the experience.”

“I took my Italian mom here who was visiting from Indianapolis. We had an amazing time! I could tell the servers were very busy (I work just down the street so I know how busy Fulton Market gets on a Friday night) but the entire staff was incredibly kind and attentive despite the high volume. Our server Haley was very sweet and timed everything perfectly. She recommended the seabass and was spot on. I would also like to shout out the server assistants who also had great timing and were very helpful! Will definitely be going back.”

“Went to the brewery this weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. The classic flights were pretty good and the prices were so reasonable. The summer kolsh was so refreshing. Will definitely be back!”

“Mario C is THE BEST waiter! Gave great suggestions that were spot on for Prosecco...2 different bottles and each was a perfect companion to our lunches. Also, good beer selection and cocktail. We had artichoke and sunchoke and meatball for shared appetizers, followed by each of us with a different pasta: caico buccatini, bolognese, gnocchi and spaghetti and one stuffed cabbage...all delicious! For dessert...chocolate sorbet, coconut cookie, almond Gelato and expresso martini.A delightful afternoon...not rushed...great food and beverages!Ask to be seated in Mario C's station!”

“Best sushi I've had outside of Japan! Sometimes, omakase and high-end sushi spots try to get too crazy with their menu, but KND is simple, focusing on the quality of the dish. Our chef was very skilled and gave us a rundown of where they acquire all their fresh ingredients. The sake also paired wonderfully with the sushi. Our 16-course omakase was the perfect amount. A great place for a special occasion.”

“Dined here while visiting from out of town with friend's recommendation. Though pricey for what you get, our party of 5 was very satisfied. Good quality was very high due to ingredients and preparation. Though we forgot to get a reservation, they were able to seat us in about 30 minutes. Our server was extremely helpful and accommodating.”
“The food was amazing and such a great to place to take my partner who is vegan. We got the supplemental course for the vegan and non vegetarian tasting menu and thought it was worth it. The cocktail list was fun and delicious. The service was incredible, they were knowledgeable and attentive but subtle and allowed to enjoy the evening. I couldn’t recommend more.Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly”
“A limited menu with decent food. Had the winter squash which was delish, especially the flavor combinations and goat cheese puree. Our table shared a baguette which was nice with the herbed butter and tiny anchovy. I would say this is a stellar place for whisky and bourbon selections if that's your thing. It's not your place if you're on a budget as the prices were a bit steep. Noisy atmosphere. Cute woodsy inn theme.”
“We went last night for the first time… Great menu options, food was delicious, portions were perfect, staff was really nice. I had the Grilled Salmon, he had the Braised Pork Shoulder…definitely recommend both.”

“Had so much for fun sitting at the kitchen counter watching the talented chefs at work. Our waiter made excellent suggestions. And the food… well it was out of this world! Definitely going back .. so many more dishes to try!”
“It's not just the food that makes a restaurant, it's also the vibe. The minute you enter Oriole you know you're in for an evening that you won't soon forget. Never have had such attentive yet not overbearing service. These people are doing what they love and if not they are excellent at acting like they do! Oriole is about you enjoying the complete experience of fine dining without being stuffy or pretentious. It's been a week and I can still feel the serotonin buzz every time I think of one of the gastronomically amazing dishes or delicious wine pairings that my friend and I had. I know I'm laying it on thick but so wowed by everything!”
“First timers and now we will be regulars! The hospitality, atmosphere and fare were outstanding! From the knowledgeable staff, the welcoming management and the hostess that went WAY above and beyond to be sure my disabled husband was accommodated from when we booked our reservation to the end of our dining experience - we couldn’t have been more delighted! See you again soon, Lardon!”
“A great, intimate steakhouse with amazing food and great service. I came hungry and was not disappointed. I ordered a steak with some bone marrow to compliment and the two large bones came on top and were a great addition. The house sea salt and bearnaise sauce were also flavorful and paired well. I also got a side of the truffle Mac and cheese. It has been a long time since I ate all my food so slowly from enjoying it as much as I did. I made a mistake ordering the strawberries and cream as it ended up being too much for me to be able to finish but it was an amazing dessert with an even better presentation! The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great meal and really want to treat yourself!Vegetarian options: Fair number of great vegetarian options on the menu, especially for a steak house”
“We greatly enjoyed the set menu. Portion sizes were perfect (most offerings were tasting size), variety was wide (everything from chicken croquettes to hamachi to striploin) and presentation was impeccable. Tables are very close together and it was a bit noisy but otherwise the ambiance was pleasing.”

“Lovely lovely restaurant. First time ever there after going to Sloomoo.Seated quickly, food came quick. Burgers were delicious.Kids menu-for example it came with 1 French toast, that's it. Would have been nice if it came with a fruit cup.The kids serving could have come with just a bit more food. Enough for a toddler but not enough for an 8 year old. Child said French toast was good. Just be aware.Everything was great.”
“The food is delicious at Lawrence's on 22nd and Canal Street! The staff are amazing, down-to-Earth, & I love the atmosphere! I feel safe at Lawrence's and genuinely cared about! I would like to recognize, Ms. Rose ?, for a raise, promotion, or some sort of acknowledgement of the excellent managerial and personal communications skills that Ms. Rose possesses! Thank You Lawrence's for always being so kind and I love your fries extra crispy... lol...!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu! You can always order fries, have a dessert, Cole slaw, and onion rings! I guarantee that a vegetarian will love ensuite their level of vegetarian or vegan eating guidelines!Dietary restrictions: Yes, the menu definitely can work for someone with dietary restrictions! If calories are an issue, small portions, and non-fried foods would be a great choice! For those that have to watch sugar intake, there are many ways to make a meal with lots of protein and low sugar work, & still be scrumptious and satisfying! Fish is an excellent source of protein and can be an excellent source of omega-3s, that support heart function, help pregnant women and their fetus or fetuses develop wonderful brain functioning and neuron efficiency in both the mother and the baby or babies living in the, "Mommy-Inutero-Hotel-Tummy", add omega-3s are great for mood stabilization and they even cause your skin to shine!Parking: The parking lot is very safe, full of spaces, and to have free parking is a luxury in Chicago, Illinois...! Please be very respectful when you park here and throw garbage out in the plentiful garbage cans that are all around! Also, on the weekends Lawrence is becomes super busy with 21-year-olds or younger, some older, and the place is packed! If you would like to come during the week for family time try to come earlier and not late on the weekends!I always see the staff cleaning up the parking lot and the less that they have to do is better! There is such a peaceful feeling in this parking lot and it is nice to be right by the canal!Kid-friendliness: I absolutely would recommend this Lawrence's for birthday parties during the week for children, it is a safe environment for children, and could be a wonderful place for a party or graduation!I just would recommend that parties for children be during the daytime or during the week when it is not super packed with the wonderful clientele of younger age that love to hang out here!Wheelchair accessibility: Lawrence's has a huge parking lot and a wheelchair ramp accessible entrance to the left when you pull into the parking lot on the far left side! If I'm not mistaken there is also a wheelchair accessible entrance and ramp to enter Lawrence's fish and shrimp on the Canal Street entrance! The bathroom is wheelchair accessible, the tables to eat at are wheelchair accessible, and I am quite certain that the staff would make any adjustments for someone who may have a disability and would need a different spot to eat inside while needing to utilize the wheelchair!”
“First time going here and it was such a welcoming experience! The wait wasn't that long and the food is made fresh! Great prices and amazing tasting food! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! we got a double cheeseburger and patty melt. THANK YOU TO THE COOK! ❣”

“Man, if you are looking for a late night, eat, after you have been partying. This is the spot. Because of the area, I would order my food and wait in the car until it's ready. Really nice ghetto eatery!”
“Mr. Molcajetes is a late-night haven for taco enthusiasts. Their steak tacos are a delicious, packed with flavor and grilled to perfection. The vibrant patio sets the stage for an idyllic summer dining experience. Whether you're craving a midnight snack or a lively evening under the stars, Mr. Molcajetes is the go-to spot. I would highly recommend it. Service was fast and I always felt tended to.”
“The fish and food is soooo good! I live in Atlanta but was able to pull up when I was in Chicago last year. I love that they are opened late for those late night cravings. They only had one woman taking orders and she was working like an ox all with the best attitude! She definitely could have used some help. Nevertheless, it was a good experience and I can't wait to go back!”
“This vending machine has been here for years! Very convenient location as it's by the underground walkway. Lots of drink options! Hope they roll this out to more locations!”
“Nice little spot to grab breakfast around Midway. Food was hot and came out fast. Donuts looked good, but we didn’t try any. Place is open 24/7z In my opinion, it’s better than the options that they have inside of Midway.”
“I'm from georgia and had a late night with friends. It's tradition to hit a waffle house after a night. Well to all my southern folks this is as close to waffle house your'e gonna get. From the atmosphere, resturant layout, and buildings, it is a nice peice of home away from home. Chunky is a fantastic server and showed us a tremenous amount a care and attentiveness. She brought a genuine aura to our night thats rare in a life filtered by facades. Food was fantastic and differentiates itself from waffle house which made it in to its own experience. I suggest everyone give it a try!”
“Decided to give this place a try and they honestly did NOT disappoint! Customer service was amazing and the food was fresh and delicious. Most definitely coming back to try out other things on the menu.”

“This is the likely the best run and CLEANEST Subway I have visited in Chicago. Perhaps even for all fast food restaurants in Chicago. At least when Ni(c)k (the owner?) is running the place. I don't visit often but have lived down the street for 17 years... he somehow remembers my preferred order every time. He is a nice guy and a great server and entrepreneur. He works hard!”

“Today, we hosted a couples shower at Stay and Play Cafe! It was beyond amazing! The owners, Yesenia and Jose were so easy and delightful to work with, the staff was attentive, recommending and teaching games to our guests of all ages, the food was delicious(cheesy eggs and quesitos were scrumptious), and the atmosphere was just perfect! I can't recommend this cafe enough. I look forward to having other functions here and/or coming with a group of friends. I can't wait to start spreading the word to family and friends. Thank you Jose and Yesenia for making our day so special! Anita G.”
“Woooow woooow y wooow! Súper recomendado! Los dueños y sus hijos etc super atentos! Todo es fresco, el agua de horchata de chocolate me encanto! Las tortillas hechas a mano en el momento, lo mejor de todo poder platicar con el dueño y su esposa y que nos compartieran su historia de como comenzaron, anécdotas y mucho más! Felicidades! Y que sigan creciendo!”
“First off, the vibes here are immaculate. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Soho House, and the ambiance is very intimate--perfect for a smaller party. The menu is pretty straightforward. There aren't a lot of options to choose from, but each item is very unique. What we ordered: Caliente en los Trópicos: pretty yummy! Supposed to be spicy, but the spice is not overbearing at all. An interesting cocktail. Ceviche: a great way to start the dinner. Very shareable; love the balance of sour and savory flavors. Tuna Tostada: my favorite! I've never had a tuna tostada before, and it's nothing like what I expected. Mussels: you cannot go wrong with the mussels. The bread goes so well with this. Considering the dishes seem so original and the quick service, I'd definitely recommend this spot to my friends.”
“If you claim Pequod’s or Burt’s as some of your favorites you MUST try Milly’s! It’s very similar however it’s executed to a higher standard (better toppings, more cheese providing better ratios)”
“Love Kasama! I’ve been back each time I visit the city and the breakfast is banging. I know the sandwich + hash-brown is iconic and a must try but their other food is equally as delicious. Would highly recommend ordering online to skip the line if you don’t plan to eat inside.”
“Got the Dan Dan noodles and dry chili chicken. The noodles were delicious and had a good kick. The chicken was crispy and spicy. The peppers made my mouth a little numb and gave my nose a run. Even with all this spice, the dish was still enjoyable. Good, flavorful Szechuan style food.”
“My friend and I ordered the Rigatoni alla Vodka and the Chicken Parm, and they were both great! The vodka pasta definitely deserves all the buzz surrounding it! The pasta was served in adorable china which insulated the heat so well that the pasta stayed hot through the entire meal. The restaurant also provided complimentary appetizers including, pizza & garlic bread, salami, and pickled vegetables. Our server was very attentive and all of our dishes came out quickly. Overall, we loved our dining experience and can’t wait to snag another reservation!”
“First time here yesterday and I loved it. The service by the staff was outstanding. A gentlemen kindly checked my big coat, our waitress felt like an old friend, and the food was cooked perfectly for every dish. I would highly recommend and for sure come back. Love having this place in the neighborhood.”
“One of the best dining experiences I have had in years. Very interesting menu with incredible flavor, beautiful presentation in an intimate, warm environment. I did not know much about Spanish cuisine prior to MFK aside from paella, but now I am looking for similar experiences like MFK. The potato and smoked piquillo croquettes were awesome. The flavors in this, what I expected to be a simple dish, were a complete surprise. The skate and chips were amazing. The best skate I have ever had and I do not know what they do to the chips, but they are delicious. The fideo (I have never heard of this dish) was incredible and the saffron cream sauce was out of this world. I consider myself a foodie with high standards. MFK blew me away. If you are into the entire presentation from apps to drinks to entrees, this is your (and my) place. The sauces were delicious and unique. Do yourself a favor and get to this place. One more thing, the burnt basque cheesecake was delicious.”
“I attended the Sober and Bougie event at Cultivate last night. My first ever event like this. It was really well done. The staff (chef/bartender) were extremely knowledgeable, the courses were timed really well, and everyone was super friendly. I had actually never been to Cultivate before; because I’m doing sober January, this event (that I saw advertised on Facebook) was screaming my name. Im really glad I went. I would encourage Cultivate to continue with more events of this nature.”
“I'm giving 4 or of 5 stars based on food taste preference. I ordered shrimp fried rice, spring rolls, Crab Rangoon, and pork pot stickers. Food was hot and fresh. Parking was free in front there's a step to get in so not wheelchair accessible. The restaurant was clean, I would order from here again.”
“The best birria I have ever eaten in my entire life. I've just been there for the first time and it's simply incredible. From the first place, I was involved in something difficult to explain, so many years passing and never having given them a chance or knowing the goodness of their food.”
“This was a refreshing and delightful twist on Cuban cuisine. I enjoyed very much the atmosphere, the music, the food, and the service was very good. I will definitely return to try other dishes.”
“As a perfectionist who doesn’t believe in anything being perfect, I found it hard to give any critiques to our Bistro Campagne experience. Our server, Alexander, did not miss a beat. Every bite of food was exquisite. We enjoyed the escargot and mussels as an app. Then we split the steak frites and salmon entrees. Incredible. I also highly recommend the Spanish Harlem cocktail. We will be back again.”
“We were a party of 6 people, tried the black croquettes, corn Madeleine, the vegetables , the fried chicken and the salt. Everything was delicious. Cocktails were very good too. The service was a bit long but at the same time, it is pleasant to not be rushed in a restaurant and to have time to eat your plates without anyone asking you every 5 min if you were done.I will definitely be back”

“Let me start by saying that I am kind of a sandwich snob. With that said, the Cubano sandwich I had here was fantastic. The cilantro garlic butter on the bread is such a nice touch. And I don’t even like cilantro!Adding this to my list of favorite lunch spots in the city.”
“The margarita and Bloody Mary really good drinks, we also order a huitlacoche quesadilla, garnacha and queso panela. The taste of frijol molido with chips is like the one you can find in Oaxaca city. For sure we’ll back for the tlayudas, we just went for a drink to wait for a friend and end it tasting more that a drink.”
“Stopped by today with a few friends and split a handful of thing.I only have 5 stars because 15 stars wasn’t an option.I’ve eaten many pastries in my life, and I must say that their cheddar scallion biscuit might be the best one gluten items I’ve ever had. My lord. My friends and I are leaving our church to praise at the alter of that delicious treat. Then came the banana bread. I used to tell my mom that hers was the best, but that’s now a lie. loved their take on banana bread. While slightly drier than some I’ve had, I thought the overall composition and flavor of it was excellent. A must try.Next, they currently have an onion and Gruyère danish….. I don’t believe I telling people how to live their lives, but if you aren’t eating that daily, your life is incomplete and full of sorrow. Go there now. Eat it. You’re welcome. Finally came the croissants. We tried the pb and chocolate and the ham and cheese. I could definitely appreciate the flavor, but they were crispier than what I typically preference. Still, my friend who likes them that way thought it was divine.Ok. Go to Aya now.”
“What an awesome Chicago food experience! Get the Italian beef sandwich dipped and you won’t regret this beautiful and messy experience. Add the beef in a cup for bonus points and extra protein! The prices are very fair given how much beef you get. It’s a fun and messy sandwich spot and a must try if you’re in Chicago. I would go back in a heartbeat. Check out my photos.”
“Super yummy! 1st time out since new allergy assessment. Food feels good in my belly. Would definitely go again!Thank you!Dietary restrictions: Too many to name. But gluten-free, protein and veges good to eat.”
“I actually have never had Philz Coffee. But it's a friends favorite, so I called, described what her favorite drink was.The woman I spoke to was so helpful. She told me the coffee to buy and how to make her favorite latte”
“LOVE this spot. I was not even a coffee drinker before visiting here but after having their Mocha Tesora, i've completed switched from espresso! Everyone is super friendly as well.”
“Cute breakfast spot right in the middle of a shop! This is in the Streeterville/ Gold Coast area. A little pricey (for breakfast) but very tasty. Recommend the pastry sampler as your starter! You can shop when you've finished your meal. Service is great and attentive. Recommend you put in a reservation #chicago #breakfast #brunch”
“Wow! We arrived a little early for our Saturday at 7:30 dinner reservations in hopes of getting seated early, if there was a chance. It was restaurant week in Chicago Osteria was very busy. Unable to get a table early, we happily sat at the bar and waited. After debating on what drinks to order, we opted for the "just bring me wine" . The bartender asked if we were having the restaurant week menu, as that had specific wines to go with the courses (which is what we went with). We were seated a little after 7:30, no complaints on my part over that, as they were very busy. When a place is participating in an event such as restaurant week and there is a set menu, one shouldn't expect any substitutions from said set menu. I completely understand this, although having to eat gluten free poses a bit of an issue for me. The options for the main course of the set menu wasn't going to be a problem for me. I inquired about the ingredients on the first course. I knew the bread and roasted garlic, as well as the meatballs were a no go for me and explained that I couldn't eat the prepared salad due to the croutons. Much to my glee, I was offered a caprese salad instead of the Caesar. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the bread with roasted garlic in oil and vinegar, as well as the meatballs and Caeser salad. The soup was a delicious chicken and vegetable soup. At 8:10 started to get nervous about the time, due to us having tickets to see Drunk Shakespeare at 9pm. This was poor timing on my part, I should have reserved our table for 7pm or earlier not 7:30pm. When our waiter came over to check on us I explained that we needed to put out by 8:30(ish). Mild concern came over his eyes and he went back to check in at the kitchen. Moments later, a gentleman came to our table (I'm assuming the manager) to discuss our predicament. He kindly explained that our main course wasn't going to be ready for another 20 minutes (the restaurant was very busy). The timing would have been just fine any other night for us, but not that night. After a discussion with the manager, we all came to an agreement of us having a second bowl of soup and paying ala carte for what we had eaten and forgoing the set menu. I take full responsibility for our poor timing and am delighted in how the restaurant was gracious and accommodating. Our waiter brought over two glasses of chocolate wine to finish off our meal. The food was outstanding and the service was even better. Next time we are in Chicago, I'll make sure to set enough time aside to enjoy the full eating experience.”
“Excellent value and quality Mediterranean food. The chicken shawarma came with generous portion and great flavor. The addition of four complimentary topping (I picked baba ghanouj, hummus, and grape leaves) also tasted amazing and very fresh.”
“Whoever makes the chicken wings baby them are finger licking good ? 9/10 . Excellent entertainment as well first here was last year. I'm have stop by again to get great show and wingz baby!!! Nice lady I meet with blonde hair with glasses believe she's regular very sweet lady I felt welcome in her ”
“Drove from Michigan, but in all reality I would paddle a canoe across the lake for a Jim's Original!!! There is no substitute!!!! Thank you Jim's Northside Crew!!!”
“Ordered polish and Italian ice combo for lunch today and it was delicious! The perfect blend of salty and sweet. I was craving summer and sun and this hit the spot. Going to be my go to lunch spot from now on.”
“Everything about this place was just... Mediocre. Just to be clear, there was nothing wrong with the food or service but it didn't illicit the nostalgia I was looking for. I grew up in a suburb not far from Chicago but moved to Louisville, Kentucky about 18 years ago and I think we have a Chicago transplant restaurant owner that does Chicago-style cuisine better than this. The prices are reasonable and the food is decent so I'm not mad about getting food here. We had just gotten into town and were starving so having a bite to eat here did the trick. I just think there may be a better place to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: The elevator to the bathrooms on the second level were out of order when we were there so not sure what folks did when stairs weren't an option.”
“There’s “salads” from fast food restaurants and then there’s THIS! Absolutely wonderful!!!! I got the poblano chicken salad and I really enjoyed it! The salads aren’t boring, they have so much texture which really makes eating more greens EASIER! Thank you! I’ll be back ?Service was so sweet as well ”
“4.5 stars if Google would allow half stars. We were visiting from Kansas City a d food is for sure our cities thing, so we planned our trip to Chi-Town around food for sure. Little Goat Dinner was on the eater best brunch list, so we had to try it. It for sure lived up to the hype.- Great atmosphere- Kid friendly- Dietary restrictions are doable here- Amazing and even creative foodBrunch can be too sweet or even too heavy. I'm my eyes. Little Goat does a great job at being creative and even detailed about how they present and make their dishes. This is a must!Vegetarian options: Items that would work for sure.Dietary restrictions: They helped me with my dairy issues.Parking: Small parking so plan ahead.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely!Wheelchair accessibility: I do believe it would work here.”

Obélix
“Our son lives in Chicago and we asked his girlfriend to choose a nice place for us to fly in and take them out to dinner to celebrate his birthday… Obélix did NOT disappoint! My husband is French and used to work in the food industry so to say our standards are high is an understatement. You will come out of an experience here a few pennies poorer yet you will chalk this up to a rich gastronomical experience bar none. The service is impeccable (timing and engagement) and food, sublime. I was so looking forward to sharing angel food cake with my son as we did while he was growing up but we simply indulged all evening and had no room but for espressos. We enjoyed a bottle of Crémant to start and followed with a bottle of Beaujolais Fleury which was incredible once it opened…. The Dorade was outstanding and my family enjoyed the pâté en croute, soupe à l’onglon gratinée , les escargots bourguignon, macarons avec foie gras; and absolutely adored their aged steaks… the experience was outstanding and was well worth the flight to make a memorable evening with our beloved son. Try to save room for dessert as I hear it’s outstanding !!”

“First, and foremost - The Best Dinner I have ever had. Mixed Green Salad - Fresh, inviting and simple. Short Rib Beignets - To Die For! A Beignet stuffed with Braised Short Rib, brilliant. Tar Tare of Boeuf - What carnivore doesn't enjoy a good Tar Tare Ceci Bean Cavatelli - One of the best pasta dishes of my life. Escargot - Is it the snails that make it or the Garlic Oil you sop up with bread? Answer: Either one, just scrumptious. Ora King Salmon - Simple but the Tarragone brunne banc and caviar, and flawless cooking technique, makes this a top class seafood classic. 55 Day Dry Age T-Bone Steak - Cooked perfectly, well seasoned, if you have an issue with this steak, maybe you should of stopped and McDonalds for a happy meal. This in one of the best steaks in Chicago. Roasted Mushroom - Simple and delectable. Boeuf Fat Fries - Amazing, Hot and Crispy. Not a vegan option. BoeufHaus a must visit.”
“Beautiful food and wine. Great atmosphere. Staff that were attentive without being overbearing. Michelin stars. And a 5m walk from the apartment. This could become an expensive habit!”
“Update: We were generously welcomed back to Ever for a second go at the experience and it was starkly different and very enjoyable. The food was well executed and the service was incredibly personal. They somehow recognized me and addressed me by first name when entering which was very impressive! Ryan was our sommelier for the evening and his personality and descriptions of the wines were amazing to listen to, and his passion was evident. Paulina's attentiveness and care for our experience was a bright spot as well on the evening. Based on this experience we could definitely recommend Ever, but hopefully you get this the first time around. Thanks Ever team for a great redemption and treating us to a very special evening!Original review for reference:My wife and I dined at Ever for our anniversary this year, and I had contemplated leaving a review but decided to share our experience. We were unfortunately let down. Overall, the food was not what we expected. There were a couple dishes that were very salty, and at least one that just lacked flavor in general. The hamachi was incredible, though, i wish the rest was just as good. The service, although very professional and consice, simply lacked personality and any sense of individualism. It also just felt a bit rushed and that they were on a mission to complete the job. We were asked to supply them with info on special occasions before we arrived, which I did. I expected at least the service staff to be aware of our anniversary but as we walked in the hostess asked us if we were celebrating anything and us telling her was clearly the first time any employee there had heard it. We've dined elsewhere at less rewarded and reputed restaurants where even the valet knew, and we were greeted with a special glass of wine and handwritten note. I don't want to sound pretentious here...but the bill was not light. We spent a significant amount of money at Ever only to leave feeling unfulfilled, and we are not partivularly wealthy. However, we are both in the food industry and looked at this experience as a sort of pilgrimage. Perhaps we should have said something while there but I think we were just a bit shocked. I would not recommend the Ever experience.”
“Absolutely excellent bar, amazing staff who are calm, kind, and knowledgeable. The entire environment is intentional and high quality. We sat at the bar and got to see the drinks being prepared which was a great experience. Have heard good things about the food though we didn’t try any this time. The drinks are INCREDIBLE. This is a MUST GO in Chicago. We made a mistake with our reservation and they were kind enough to still put us on the waiting list and we were able to include this in our trip. Very grateful and will come again!”
“I’ve found one of the best ALL YOU CAN EAT HOTPOT experiences here in Chicagos south loop and it’s at Wagyu House! Everything is superior quality - the meats, the service and the ambiance. Their A5 Wagyu beef is FLOWN IN DAILY from Japan and Australia!!! Their AYCE option includes options like wagyu, crab legs, sushi, ramen, lobster and more; it’s unbelievably good! The shrimp balls were so good - Deep fried with a tasty sauce and I loved putting my crab legs in the broth and eating them warm; they honestly tasted great just chilled! This beautiful restaurant is great for a date night or girls night out and they even have happy hour and I love the little cute robot servers they have rolling around! The interior is very modern and even though there can be A LOT of people around, the noise doesn’t get overwhelming. Dont just take my word for it- go experience this amazing restaurant yourself!”
“The taste was much better than I expected. The two of us spent over 500, with nearly 100 in tips. The A5 Wagyu was more delicious than I imagined, and the oysters are definitely a must-order item at their restaurant. The only issue was personal; I’m someone who doesn’t like being frequently asked "how is everything" while eating. Although the person in charge was very enthusiastic, it was just a bit too much for me. I hope in the future they could pay a bit more attention to individual customer preferences.”
“I've eaten my way around 40 countries + 48 US states and this is easily one of the most intimate, unique, and realest dining experiences I've had in my life.My partner booked a secret res for my birthday and when we rocked up, I was surprised when the team greeted me by name and spoke to me like a group of friends that were 'checking in' and 'gassing me up' at a celebratory dinner. Later, I was told that she filled out an 'intake' style form letting the team know of birthday, and recent accomplishments. I know... Different. Lol. Love that. The O.G. style Omakase Experience in an industrial speak-easy space with a mini-counter seating only ten. The ambience, hospitality, F&B menu, conversation, everything was M☆.Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee's creation took our palats through a rollercoaster of emotions. If talent is only as real as the people behind the wheel, and an idea is only as special as the person who executes it at its highest level, then Chef Naomi's talent and authenticity is nothing short of un-fu*kingreal, for real.We came strangers and left as friends – Brian; you're a real one. Chef Hannah, Chef Andy, and Alex on bar; y'all are craaazy! Thanks for the memories. Cheers, y'all – Braa + Ronnie”
“I can only sum my experience up in a single word: “perfect”. Service is understated but attentive. The food is Michelin star level. If you've not eaten here you absolutely should.”
“Incredible food with unique presentations and textures. Great vibe in a relaxed atmosphere. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend it for a special occasion.”
“My wife and I have never been to a Michelin star restaurant and now that we live in Chicago, we had plenty of options. For our second baby moon we decided to treat ourselves to an experience at El Ideas. The whole experience was amazing! The location is really unassuming and not in some pretentious building or area. It was such a laid back yet exquisite experience. Guests were allowed to wonder the space and take in the food preparation. You could ask questions of the chefs. It was really neat and nothing like I've ever experienced. Since there are a limited number of reservations the entire staff is really attune to guests needs. I have no complaints about any of the dishes. Some of the standout dishes were the shrimp dish which was an ode to the history of Chicago fried shrimp. The Swedish style meatball cooked in smoked beef tallow with gnocchi was so well balanced. The smoked duck bahn mi and smoke duck pho was amazing . The Lamb dish was out of this world! I'm still in awe of the vanilla shake and fries dessert. It was truly a work of art. The vanilla with the crunchy potato bits and potato and leak soup just worked. I could take one of those every day. This experience is definitely worth it! I hope to be back in the future!”
“All I can say is WOW! This steakhouse was incredible! Cannot recommend enough. The meat paradise was truly an experience and a delicious one at that. Our server, Leo, was probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had anywhere with his charismatic personality and caring service. He truly made this restaurant a memorable time! Forget about Brazilian steak houses or what not, money was WAY better spent here! Photo is before the delicious steak was grilled to our liking in front of us.”
“Fantastic experience. The tasting menu, indicative of an omakase, was like experiencing a story. Beginning, middle and end. A full span of flavors, savory, sweet, acidic. Highly recommend. Plus a great selection of sake.”
“"I attended their dinner for NYE 2021. Many of you saw me on the ABC7 NYE Television Special with Val Warner and Ryan Chiaverini. I HAD A BALL!!! I highly recommend you going to one of their shows!!!" - Pierre Andre Evans Owner/ GO BANG Magazine”
“Love, love, loved this place. Outstanding food with a lot of variety on the menu which seems to rotate in new dishes with some standards. Excellent, friendly service. Great neighborhood atmosphere. Burrito is a must, pulpo was cooked perfectly, and the flan. My goodness, the flan... Will be back. Again and again. Street parking available. Reservations recommended.”

Cheap Eats
“everything here is top-notch and I promise that I will always come back for more. great sandwiches and the atmospheres really cozy and it feels like home. If you haven’t already, I highly suggest trying there pasta, sauces, and actual pasta in the far corner of the store because they made my dinner a Michelin star.”
“Very impressive drinks and menu. A modern twist to Mexican food definitely 5 stars. Waiter was amazing at guiding me what to choose based on my traditional Mexican entrees I enjoy. Margaritas were AMAZING!!!!”
“May God bless the kind & benevolent souls who work at this legendary restaurant. May God grant them and their families prosperity.Vegetarian options: Falafel, fries, hummus & pita, lentil soup, and I believe the stuffed grape leaves are vegetarian (though, some variations of the recipe may contain meat), so I would double-check with them if the stuffed grape leaves are vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Restaurant seating offers a great family friendly environment”
“The pho broth is rich, generous, and delicious. It is boiled hot and goes well with rich soup. The meat quality is good and the vegetables are also good. When I'm looking for rich, flavorful style pho in Chicago, I'll come here.”
“The chicken was so juicy and the fries were perfectly crispy. Food came quickly and was super hot and fresh. Service was friendly and efficient. Absolutely delicious!!!!”
“It's truly a crime that this place doesn't have more reviews. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. The sourdough is splendid, giving the crust a beautiful balance between soft and crunchy. The sauce is out of this world, I wish they sold jars of it so I could eat it more often. Every topping is incredibly flavorful and fresh. My favorites were the ricotta, cherry tomatoes, beef meatballs, and spinach.Make sure to preorder at least a day before you plan to go, since they make a limited amount of pizzas. Do yourself a favor and order the larger size, that way you can enjoy leftovers once you're back home and dreaming about the pizza! I can't wait to come back here again soon!”
“We came from Wisconsin to ouck up food from this joint!!! the food is STRAIGHT!!! DELICIOUS!!! Henry was very hospitable and a great person!!! thank you Henry for the great food!!! It was worth the 2 hour drive!!! we will be back!!!”
“First timer all we had was great chicken katsu, spicy pork, shredded pork forgot what it’s called and can’t forget the Spam musubi! So glad we have great food in Chicago.”
“Went on a Saturday morning. The place was packed but we got a table for 5 without any wait. Service was great, food was fresh and delicious. Very affordable, 10/10!”
“Fantastic breakfast/diner food, though there may be a bit of a line. Baked goods for takeaway go fast. Donut holes come with every meal and all breads are baked in-house.Parking: Street parking is just as ridiculous as everywhere in downtown Chicago. Rideshare is the more convenient option.”
“This place was very good and authentic. I bought a couple pounds of chicharrones which came in huge slabs. If you just want to snack, it could use some seasoning, but for cooking it's perfect. The menudo was flavorful and thick and came with seasoning and sides. The staff were very busy when we arrived, but the owner was very nice and talkative. He explained everything in detail to my wife while I drooled over all the meat.”
“Absolutely great food had the white pizza and and Cesar salad both me and my girlfriend loved it wish I got to try the red sauce pie as well oh well we'll be back soon to try ”
“Amazing little super vibey speakeasy tucked away in the back of the Moon Palace restaurant in Chinatown! Delicious small plates and even better cocktails! Order the Paradise Lost drink and you'll know what I'm talking about!”
“Best ice cream EVER and the service and experience is unbelievable. Such a fun place to go. Even though the ice cream is expensive, the service and the samples make up for it. Love this place.”
“Always incredible - one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city (I get the pablano/veggie and add sausage ? - which was a staff suggestion). Everyone who works there is friendly and engaging! If they had a yearbook, I would write, "have a cool summer - don't ever change".”
“Start by saying this place was SO GOOD! Our table had 3 different pasta dishes where each dish was perfect in their own way, perfectly pillowy gnocchi and al dente pasta with nice chew. The table favorite was the spaghetti with caviar. The fried calamari was also well cooked, not rubbery at all. The space was busy but not too loud and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely try to convince people to check this place out.”
“A highlight of our trip to Chicago. Beautiful architecture and design inside and out. The food was fantastic and we had great service. An absolute must if you’re a local or tourist, we would love to come back.”

“Loved their Tonkatsu. Rich but not too heavy. Really enjoyed the ambience/decor and the staff was super great! We met who I assume is the owner when he came by and thanked us for coming which was super nice. Always love sitting at the counter and watching cook/prep. We’ll be back!!!”

“Went for brunch today, the food was so good. I had three Boozy Masala Chai drinks, which was just yum! Been there numerous times for dinner as well. Highly recommend. I come in from Oswego to eat there.”
“What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said or known to be true. Little bad wolf has the best Mac and cheese I've ever had in my life. I don't know what they do but it's liquid crack in those noodles and I just can't get enough of it.The burgers there are also top five in Chicago. Definitely try the bao buns and the tacos as well as they have tons of flavor and they never disappoint. One of my favorite appetizers is the elotes which is absolutely amazing.I love this place I just wish it was closer to me and they took reservations but I'll keep coming back as long as they got the liquid cheddar crack.”
“Avec has been on my list for a while and I finally was able to stop in with a friend for brunch! After tasting, I regret that it took me this long. Avec is a quaint spot with family style seating so I do recommend making a reservation if possible. We made our reservation for a Saturday and we were seated immediately at our reservation time by an eager and inviting hostess. Our server greeted us immediately and walked us through their brunch menu. The server was friendly, and gave some solid suggestions which was helpful as Avec has so many great dishes for brunch. After careful consideration and server recommendation, we landed on: -Mimosas (its brunch, of course we did a round of mimosas.) -French toast: topped with ricotta and berry compote garnished with mint and almonds. I loved that it was not too sweet, it has great balance. -Pork Belly: OMG nice and fatty with the perfect tender texture (not too chewy) it was nicely glazed for a bold flavor. -Chorizo Stuffed Medjool Dates: Talk about the star of the show! Literally chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon abbd a pepper tomato sauce. Sweet and savory perfect balance for brunch. To go I ordered their coffee cake as well as a iced coffee. Even the pastries were remarkable! I cannot wait to get back to Avec. For the service of course, but also for their dates!”

“We went to Mia Francesa for dinner on Saturday, our server Alfonso introduced us to the new antipasto, the agnolloti and the pollo Milanese were delicious! We finished with the carrot cake. Great experience the energy is unique. We were happy to see the place full!!! Alfonso is a fantastic server, very welcoming, friendly, and really knows how to make the customer's evening a fantastic one!!! We will definitely be back for the delicious food and the fantastic service that Alfonso provides at Mia Francesca.”
“food: 4service: 4.5ambiance: 4fun atmosphere, lovely service. had some really tasty bites (laad moo tod) and then ordered the whole fried snapper which was very good.sadly the tom kha soup, and actually everything in general, came out either all at once or at weird moments during our dinner. the soup came out almost after we had finished with everything. and it wasn’t my fav tom kha soup i’ve had in the city.”
“Our waiter Michael was as incredible as the food and atmosphere were. There are no wrong choices, everything on the menu we had was out of this world delicious. Stephanie Izard can do no wrong it seems”
“This was an absolute treat. This was my first time trying Kurdish food and it did not disappoint. I started off with the Lamb Mardin Eggplant Stew. The savory and juicy lamb pieces over a bed of eggplant / veggie puree was satisfying and elegant. 1 dish was plenty! Ineeded time before dessert, so coffee it was. I cannot say it enough, but Kurdish Coffee is spectacular and a true treat. You may only get about 2 ounces - but it is worth it weigh in gold! It is aromatic - hints of cardamon (maybe cloves?), and tastes almost like a dessert. TRY IT! I promise, it won't disappoint. Then I moved on to the apricot rice pudding - it was good, nice balance of flavors, and a good way to close out this wonderful experience.”
“Wonderful experience! The food was delicious and I have to point out the cornbread as the star. It was steaming hot when we cut into it and it was amazing with the butter they provided. Next stop in Chicago, we're going again.”

Esmé
“Esme is truly an experience to have. We did the menu and the wine pairing and it was amazing. From the presentation to the food was unbelievable and will definitely do it again as it changes quarterly”

Lula Cafe
“Went here for Burnch on a Sunday. It is first come first serve so had to wait a little over an hour. Roamed a bit around the neighborhood as every area of the city has its own charm.Plenty of street parking or can always park in the near by garage.Ordered the classic lulu breakfast burrito, chickpea and fennel tagine and a smoked trout scramble. I would say the Chickpea and fennel tagine was awesome and a must on every visit.Parking: Parking spots near by and then paid garage couple of blocks awayKid-friendliness: Yes great with kids”

Oriole

“I ordered chicken kalamaki & lemon potatoes. I am picky eater and I was pleasantly surprised how amazing both items were. Tender juice chicken and garlicky lemon potatoes, mmmmm!!!! Ordered take out, but the restaurant was packed! I really loved the ambiance. I’m looking forward to dining in!”

Sushi-san
“Food was delicious! And although I forgot to mention it was my parents 50th anniversary when I made the reservation, our server was able to put together a little celebratory dessert that was incredibly delicious. So thank you again!”
“JJ is our favorite place to go. We have been coming here for lunch and dinner like forever. This place offers a variety of popular Thai street food dishes and they are all heavenly delicious. Note: Try their Khao Kha Moo and Fried Tofu Salad (Nam Tok), you can't go wrong with those!”
“I love coming to time out. Great for a group of people that want different foods. They rotate the providers, and it’s a fun atmosphere. The food quality varies but worth trying various places! Overall great place for a night out!Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options!”

“Really good food as well as excellent customer service. the staff were very hospitable and my waiter Johnny made sure we were well taken care of. Will definitely be back! Johnny gave very good recommendations, attended to all our needs, and made us feel welcome. Ask for Johnny if you want amazing service.”
“Really loved this place! Each dish we had was unique and great. We sat by an open window, it he was beautiful. The wings, mussels, short rib clay pot, shaking beef, and the chili salt chicken were all incredible! Such a great meal!”
“Updated review, still a very solid cocktail bar even if the rules on cell phones and dress code have gotten a bit lax over the years.Menu all around is good and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable. Space overall is pretty quiet and arranged in such a way that things feel very private.Worth stopping by at least onceLook for the recessed door, you could walk by without ever knowing it's there!”

WoodWind
“Such a special place regardless of the season. The views can't be beat and the menu choices are interesting. Food preparation is delicious and beautifully plated. It's fun to bring people here and see their surprise at this hidden gem in the middle of Streeterville. Service is attentive and not intrusive.”

“Chef Wilson is a culinary genius! All ingredients are responsibly sourced and a crafted with such attention to detail. His flavorful pairings are out of this world.”

Gilt Bar
“Gilt bar’s happy hour is lively classy and delicious. Definitely try and show up right around 4 as it gets packed quickly. But mostly is standing room. We stood near the bar and the service was impressive for how busy it got. The bartender really could shake those drinks! The $7 teeny espresso martini for me and husband ordered an old fashioned with wild turkey rye $8 ...bartender asked if he wanted to upgrade to the Bourbon the drink increased to $17. He should have said something. Errrr. Seats opened at the bar. (Only can order food if seated) We ordered the mussels which had a lemon vermouth sauce. Dipping the crusty bread in the sauce was my favorite part. The ambiance is fancy and artfully arranged. (4.5/5)”
“Can get a bit packed on a weekend night as it's one of a handful of viable Indian options downtown. We were quoted about 15-20 minutes wait time but they didn't let us stand in the vestibule outside and corralled us into a corner of the front to wait.Chicken vindaloo was good - not as spiced as I would have liked (I ordered it hot) but good flavor nonetheless. Service charge is applied automatically for groups of 6 or more, but the bill then includes additional tip suggestions from 15-20% which could trip up a less scrupulous person”
“Perfect French bistro. Charming interior. Kind staff. Cocktails were killer. Food was impeccable - pate, bisque, salad, skate wing, and profiteroles. All perfect. The place was also spotless, which is such a comfort.”
“Cool bar with unique cocktails. Very imaginative and well prepared drinks. I found the vibe slightly odd as the music was loud enough that it was difficult to have a conversation but the speakers were so muddy that you couldn't even tell what music was playing.”
64
Les Nomades
“I can only sum my experience up in a single word: “perfect”. Service is understated but attentive. The food is Michelin star level. If you've not eaten here you absolutely should.”

Le Bouchon
“The food was great. The service was fine nothing outstanding but food was great. It's slightly larger than a bedroom so prepare in advance and book a reservation or prepare to wait. I sat at the bar and got bumped by the waitstaff the entire time but I happily ignored it because the food was so good. Again it's not a place for a large party but you'll be delighted you went!”

Cantón Regio
“Food was OK but the service was outstanding. Nice atmosphere, a little tight in there they definitely try and cram as many people in as possible. We tried the arrachera and half chicken. Chicken was dry. Steak was OK, only some pieces were a little tough. If we're in the area again I would give it another try.”

Geja's Cafe
“Geja’s Cafe is the most romantic restaurant in Chicago and I highly recommend! The food and the service was incredible. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. This was my first time trying fondue and it was delicious!”
69
Cubaneo
“This was a refreshing and delightful twist on Cuban cuisine. I enjoyed very much the atmosphere, the music, the food, and the service was very good. I will definitely return to try other dishes.”

Fiya
“The food was absolutely delicious. Went with the green shakshuka and it was tremendous, as was the hummus and the house bacon. Our server was also an absolute gem of a human and took excellent care of us. A bit pricey but worth it. Would definitely recommend.”

Puttery
“Truly enjoyed the Puttery experience! We came in on a Saturday during St. Patrick’s day weekend. Fortunately, Ryan advised us to come during a time in which we can enjoy the game and the ambiance. The restaurant/bar area on the 2nd floor was great for eating and obtaining our amazing drinks. They have some of the best mixed drinks in West Loop! The BBQ on Saturday Night was my favorite. We took our drinks to the 3rd floor in the lounge/bar to have a nice, cozy conversation before the game. The patio had some great views of West Loop.We took to the holes when we were all warmed up for our mini golf session. Although the 3rd floor course had flatter and more adventurous areas, the 2nd floor course was more intimate and challenging. There can only be up to 4 people in a traveling group though. My date and I ended up having a fun time.I want to thank Ryan, the manager, for helping to make this a memorable experience. We will be back soon with friends.”
“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.”
“I've been having beers here for a couple of weeks now. This place is outstanding for their food, beer selection, and amazing service. The staff is highly knowledgeable and kind. Please stop by and have a lovely time here!P.S. Their Grilled Cesar Chicken sandwich is AMAZING! ?I'd say my favorite beer is the Reissdorf Kölsch :)”

“Decent food with an amazing atmosphere. Tried the fried chicken sandwich which was good but nothing special. The prices of the dishes and drinks are a bit higher for what you get, but I would consider that's just paying for the view.”

Gretel
“Gretel is a neighborhood staple. The food is outstanding. From the proteins to the pasta to the burger... everything is A-grade. It's my go to spot with friends. Drinks are high quality -- the old fashion is a must-try. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable. Cool lounge area downstairs too to enjoy apps and drinks.”
“This is such a great little spot! The staff was really friendly, the food came out super hot, and I’ll definitely have to come back because there were so many things to chose from. My poor boyfriend will have to hear me raving about the Chicken & Waffles for the next few days.”

“Had so much for fun sitting at the kitchen counter watching the talented chefs at work. Our waiter made excellent suggestions. And the food… well it was out of this world! Definitely going back .. so many more dishes to try!”

S.K.Y.
“We were a party of 6 people, tried the black croquettes, corn Madeleine, the vegetables , the fried chicken and the salt. Everything was delicious. Cocktails were very good too. The service was a bit long but at the same time, it is pleasant to not be rushed in a restaurant and to have time to eat your plates without anyone asking you every 5 min if you were done.I will definitely be back”
“2023 update: our first experience with the sushi here was impressive, but we have since ordered a few more times and I have to say that the food has been inconsistent. It's not bad and it's still a good value (esp. the party trays) , but it also hasn't lived up to that first tray the last few times we tried it. YMMV.Original review:Super friendly and helpful staff, fast delivery, and amazing sushi. Great value, too. My wife and I have lived in South Loop for years and have tried probably a dozen sushi restaurants in the area. This one is a little far from us so we didn't try it until today, but we were blown away by how tasty it was, especially given the affordable pricing and laid-back vibe.We got the Roll Out platter for ourselves and some friends. It's an incredible value for the amount of sushi included, and every roll was delicious. Fish portions were large and very fresh. A substantial part of the platter is "spicy" rolls which I was a little worried about - many sushi places grind up the meat into a mushy paste mixed with who-knows-what, but not here. These were easily the best spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail rolls I've ever had - they're good-sized bits of quality meat mixed with a delicious spicy mayo sauce. No meat paste. They were delightful.Anyway, we may have found a new favorite sushi spot. I just wish we had tried it sooner!”
“must haves: spanakopita & lamb chops We just had the most wonderful meal at Avli on The Park. The service was so attentive even the manager stopped by and so kindly gave suggestions on what are "must try" dishes as it was our first time and all four of us could not decide. The hospitality was as exceptional as the food, the executive chef Nikos dropped off our first course as the dish came from his grandmother's spanakopita recipe back in Greece. I loved how we dined as we shared many small plates and one Entree (the lambchops) for four people while saving room for dessert. I apologize for not many photos of the dishes we enjoyed but we were just having a lovely time. I cannot sing enough praises, we will be back”
“My guy and I dined there last night and I can only say that every aspect of this visit was, on a scale from 1 to 5, a 10. Atmosphere, service, cleanliness, promptly being seated AND served with a reservation, courteous waitstaff, and last but not least...every dish we tasted was superbly plated and tasted amazing. We had the restaurant week special with 3 entrees. We chose the pot roast, blackened salmon w/creamed spinach, honey chicken with fried pound cake, short ribs /mashed potatoes, shrimp n grits. Well done! We will be coming back!”
“By far the best sandwiches, I've tried in town! The lamb and chorizo are amazing!! The drinks are also great. I highly recommend this place. I would give it 10 stars if I could.”

BoeufHaus
“First time here yesterday and I loved it. The service by the staff was outstanding. A gentlemen kindly checked my big coat, our waitress felt like an old friend, and the food was cooked perfectly for every dish. I would highly recommend and for sure come back. Love having this place in the neighborhood.”

“We came here for our anniversary and did the tasting menu. First off, the atmosphere is so lovely, so warm, inviting, and welcoming. They offer to take your coats before sitting you at your table. We sat in the back area underneath the beautiful glass canopy. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. This was our first time at a Michelin starred restaurant, and the service alone was worth it! My husband joked that his glass of water was never even a little bit empty. They were that impressive! All the dishes were superb. Each glass of wine paired so perfectly with each dish, creating multiple flavor profiles every time. The trout was unbelievable, I've never had fish that tender. At the end of the meal, they gave us to go snacks and a menu of our meal including the wine! The pound cake treat was phenomenal. Can't wait to come back!!”

“The food tastes good. It’s creative. It looks good. It’s reasonably priced. Not cheap and not over the top. Good service. I just wish the noise level was lower. Else it’s the perfect place for a really good meal.”
“I’ve been twice, once to dine in and the other to dine out. The restaurant itself is a great space. It’s small enough to feel intimate and quiet. Both times I’ve had the pastelillos de carne, lechón, y arroz con gandules. The food is SOOOO good! I’m a Puertorriqueño originally from NYC (South Bronx) and Puerto Rican food was not just plentiful at home but in the community. Since moving to the Midwest (first Nebraska, the Minnesota, and now Illinois) I’ve usually had to hope for cuisines that were proximal but not Puerto Rican (Colombian, Venezuelan, Cuban, etc.). Chicago has obviously been much better as it relates to Puerto Rican options but of all the ones I’ve tried to date (within and beyond Humboldt Park) Marina’s takes the prize for feeling most like a home cooked meal. The food is so flavorful. The portions are just right. It may be a bit pricier than some peers but honestly it’s worth it. So glad to have a place much closer to my home in Rogers Park.”
“Don’t come here. Don’t make this place as busy as it should be so I have to plan my visit. Keep it the same tucked away kitchen only locals know and love. Don’t make me reserve a table for the best carbonara in the city.”

“my husband and i had stopped here a few times after eating at rootstock across the street for espresso, but we decided tonight to finally give the food a try! we are totally blown away. per usual, the service is 10/10. friendly, helpful, and all around a great environment. the food was stellar, and our drinks were unique and impressive. we will definitely be back!”

Gather
“Gather is simply my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Every dish is incredible: the ricotta-honey spread and buttery toast, citrus cured salmon with fried egg, carmelized brussels sprouts with aioli...and that's before you even get to the entrees. Truth be told, I've never actually made it to dessert here because I'm already so stuffed from everything else. The decor is classy but comfortable; you'll dine by candlelight with a list of appealing cocktails ready to hand. If you're lucky, you can sit with a direct view of the kitchen where you can watch the magic happen.Incredible spot--if this place ever closes, you can rest assured that I will weep bitter tears for it. Please go eat here so that doesn't happen.”
“Absolutely divine. A must when in west loop. The food is carefully and expertly crafted- Shout out to Chef Cristiano.Their wine selection is far beyond any selection I've seen just about anywhere else in the same area. So many yummy and authentic options.Service was top notch Ms Luana was an absolute pleasure. She is so kind and personable and really made us feel like family. Will absolutely be back to try another round of Chefs specials!”

“One of my favorite places in the city. I dig sitting at the old bar with only a few people as the bar keeps give excellent recs and tastes of the drafts, and their Belgians are the best selection on the city. Weather permitting the back patio is great! I have a hard time not getting the mussels and frites.”

“This place would get top marks from me even if their coffee and pastries werent awesome just for the simple fact that they dont really have a to-go cup option. I think that's just fantastic and I enjoy myself every time I walk up to the window cup in hand.Oh and their coffee and pastries are awesome! For anyone who, like me, has lived nearby for years and thought "there's no way this place can be as good as everyone says it is" it absolutely is! I cant wait to hang out on their benches this summer!!!”

True to concept, every element of the presentation has been thoughtfully composed - not just in each delicious plate, but also the ambience, the drink menu, and the restaurant itself. “This is a unbelievable place. The wait staff is awesome, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is second to none. If you haven't ate here yet you are missing a treat. Do yourself a favor and take a culinary adventure to Kitchen and Kocktaikes. You will not regret the experience.”
“We came during the Happy Hours today, ordered most of the Happy Hours food and the food portions were a lot more than we expected. The Happy Hours food were good with great prices. However, I also ordered a NY Steak, but the taste is just good, not great. I have tasted better steak before. I expected a +$50 steak to be better. Nevertheless, I ordered medium rare and the steak came out as expected. I would suggest to come during Happy Hours for the happy hours food.”
“Lovely spot with very unique dishes that are delicious. Always crowded, reservations recommended. Dress up a little, because people look nice here. Highly recommend.”
“This was a lot of fun with great food and amazing staff. Our Chef was Evan and he made the night fun and special. Thank you Evan for putting up with 10 crazy veterans! Highly recommend. They even took our allergies and food dislikes very seriously! Thank you again”
“I chose the Walnut Room for a late lunch with a colleague because it covers all the bases -cozy atmosphere, good menu choices with reasonable prices, and most of all excellent service from a very hospitable and attentive server. Who can beat the yummy chicken pot pie that comes with a fresh salad for $15 in an iconic cozy dining room with a great view in downtown Chicago? We were able to have a great lunch with good conversation all in the space of an hour. I have been to the Walnut Room during their busiest Christmas season with family members and have always had a great experience - even though I've never been seated next to the giant Christmas tree! Actually, there's not a bad seat in the place. Even when we had to wait awhile for our food, the atmosphere was so exciting, it was all worth the wait and the food and service was great. I call the Walnut Room "Tried and True"!”
“This was my first stop for dinner on my solo trip in Chicago. I dressed up, called and made a reservation. I arrived early and was seated promptly. The hostesses were very pleasant and welcoming. Yazmine was my waitress. You should request her as yours. She is very kind, attentive and offered great recommendations for wine, dinner and activities for me to do during my stay in Chicago.I had a glass of the Prelius Cabernet, Salmon and whipped Sweet Potatoes. The bread was also very good!”
“We sat on the patio with a view of Millennial Park. Service was attentive but not in a rush. Thanks Abigail. Food was prepared wonderfully and the portions were unexpectedly large. I definitely recommend the Croque Madame. You won’t walk away hungry. Atmosphere reminded me of a Parisian cafe.”
“Food was great and server was attentive. It was family style and for 5 people we shared 2 kebabs , falafel (MUST HAVE) , eggplant spread (GREAT ON PITA), potato's (THE BEST POTATOES IVE HAD) , and beets and citrus. It came with free pitas and with 5 drinks it came to about $45 split evenly for 5 people, which wasn't bad at all for the quality of the food and no one left hungry. I will definitely visit again.”
“I stopped by this place a lot because I was headed elsewhere and the baristas have customized specials that is listed on the mini chalkboard by the register when you order. I like customized drinks so depending when you go in, those drinks change daily. There is no issues with service and the drinks are always delicious. Since the location is downtown near the shopping district, the decor is much more imaginative and creative than those standard drive through locations. I imagine there used to be heavy foot traffic so assuming the clientele is more on the tourist side as there is ample seating. Average cost of customized drink is $10”
“Had a birthday dinner and all was wonderful. The surf and turf is excellent as is the bass. I highly recommend the roasted vegetables and Brussel sprouts. The coconut cake is over the top. Views of the river are wonderful! Brian, our server, was great.”
“Stopped in for dinner and beers with colleagues. Then sat in the bar area. We started with burrata and side dishes. Both were very delicious. I loved the pita bread and hummus on the appetizer plate. I will definitely get it again. Round two, we had fried chicken, croquettes and pizza. The chicken is super delicious. It was fried very well and the sweet sauce was great. I liked the pizza, although it was closer to flatbread because the crust was very flat and thin. Nice beer list. The cocktail list could be more impressive. Service is very friendly and attentive. Five stars!”
“Attentive wait staff. Jason made sure to clear our plates as soon we were done so we could keep eating! Food was fresh and everything was delicious! $48 for all items that would be on the dinner menu. A great deal overall!”
“I had a baby shower for my daughter in one of the private rooms and it was lovely. The space was roomy yet cozy with the fireplace and greenery. The food and drinks were delish. Trishie, Nikki and the rest of the staff were very attentive and easy to work with. It was a stress free event.”
“We were looking for something nice to end our first night in Chicago and Petterinos delivered. Will definetly recommend to other friends and family when they come to the city.”

“Delicious! It was very pleasant to dine and delight in every bite of this restaurant's cuisine. The best mole by far. Everything excellent.Vegetarian options: I didn't try them this time, but we will go soon.Parking: Easy to get to. And also its very informative website.Kid-friendliness: Comfortable spaces, cleanliness and friendly and professional treatment. The chef, wonderful. Thank you for your work and seasoning.Wheelchair accessibility: I saw everything very organized for the clients.”
“What a welcomed addition to the neighborhood, small yet intimate. Fabulous food complete w/a fabulous, thoughtful staff - very attentive, always smiling!! My new go to place for authentic Greek food, aroma of fresh coffee, and exquisite orange pie. Not to be missed!!”
“When I called to ask about their hours, the owner hit me with, "My lamb is the best in Chicago." With that kind of confidence, I just had to check it out. This place is truly a hidden gem! So many pros: The meat is cooked and seasoned to perfection, even the tricky lamb is spot-on. Located in River North, super convenient for city workers. All staff are super friendly. And they don't even expect tips! Mandi Lamb A must-try! The owner's so-called top lamb in Chicago is tender, not gamey, and served with spices and long-grain rice for an incredible flavor. Generous portions too. We ordered half a portion, but saw others going for the full size. Fahsa Yemeni Lamb Stew A must-try! The broth is incredibly rich and spicy, with lamb cooked to ultimate tenderness in spices, served with traditional Yemeni flatbread for a rich and unforgettable flavor. Kebda Lamb Liver Would have thought it was a Chinese stir-fried liver if no one mentioned. Seasoned with a rich array of spices and onions, it's full of the meat's natural flavor and aromatic layers. A bit oily but goes well with rice. Cucumber Salad A refreshing cucumber salad, intensely cucumber-y but a bit too much dressing. Not greasy but just okay in texture. Dates Middle-Eastern style sweet dates, a complimentary treat from the owner, who also offered other sweets which we were too shy to accept. Summary: A heartfelt small diner with numerous advantages I won't repeat. Atmosphere: Not much of an ambiance, only four tables, quite cramped, dining while looking at the kitchen. Service: The owner and staff are genuinely friendly, tips not required, water is sold bottled.”
“Ordered ahead and it took about 20 minutes to be ready. Got back and was amazed by the quality of the bread / filling. My favorite had to be the bulgogi sando or the strawberry ube. Would definitely recommend trying as someone who is from out of town.”
“Wave Sushi is where it’s at! The food is incredible (try the truffle tuna!), the staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic! Great Happy Hour and vibes!!!”
“I went to Olio e Più for my first time last night and I really enjoyed it! To start, I really liked the vibe - my boyfriend and I went around 630pm so given the sun was going down, it felt really relaxed and cozy. For my drink, I ordered the White Plains - super refreshing and tasty. My boyfriend got the Old Fashioned which he said was one of the best he's had in Chicago (and he always orders an Old Fashioned). To eat, I ordered the Gnocchi Pesto e Pistacchio and boy, was it good. I will say, our service was some of the best we've had in a long time as well. We had a really nice experience and meal and can't wait to come back again! Thank you to the Olio e Più team for a wonderful Friday date night!”
“Phenomenal food and ambience. It felt like I was immersed into a completely different culture nestled in the middle of Chicago. The interior boasts an authentic, yet modern Kazakh experience. The attention to detail was impressive. 5/5, I highly recommend and will continue to come back.”
“The setting was so impressive along with very attentive staff and delicious food. The space is most surprising. Don't be fooled by the outside. Open the door to the most cozy light infused space.”
“Me and my friend decided to stop by this cute sushi place since we're always passing by it. We ordered the Taylor St roll, crab Rangoon, sushi Family B, and the pepper salmon nigiri set. We also ordered the avocado smoothie and oolong milk tea. Everything tasted phenomenal especially the Taylor st roll We also got a shrimp fried rice for take out. The fried rice was very tasty, but there was too soy sauce for my preference. Overall, everything was very good. The interior design is super cute and the staff members are very friendly. I will most definitely be back. I highly recommend this place to college students looking for a sushi at a fair price.”
“We came without reservations and arrived a few minutes before 5pm on Saturday. There was already a long line - we ended up getting on the waitlist and got in after an hour. While in line, we met the owner - very cool dude and you can tell he's very passionate about ramen. The food and service were both excellent - well worth the hype! I ordered the miso and a friend ordered their special of the month, the Toyama Black. I preferred the miso - I like the chewier/firmer traditional ramen noodle (rather than the thin noodle) though the Toyama Black's broth was delicious and very light. The miso broth was a very good traditional miso broth - it was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty (but extremely filling).”
“Well worth every penny. If you have any reservations about visiting this placed based on its number of reviews (20 at the time of my posting this), please dispel those. If I could give this Omakase Experience a rating higher than 5 ⭐️’s I would. With some of the most interesting, different, and inventive flavor combinations & textural differences I’ve ever had (not just in a nigiri ? but ever). Me & my wife were nothing short of completely blown away by everything.Everyone knows the 5 tastes that we can detect (?????, ?????, ????, ??????, & ?????). Most Omakase Experiences focus on the Salty, Sour, & Umami notes the heaviest. Sushi | Bar gives you the full experience with some amazing Sweet notes as well as some soft Bitter notes on some of the rolls to accentuate the other core flavors.Dietary restrictions: My wife has a food borne allergy to some shellfish (shrimp ?, oyster , crab ?, lobster ) and was shown great care and attention and offered supplemental proteins in lieu of her allergens when they arose in a course.Parking: • There is no shortage of street parking available in all directions (which comes in handy when you have an oversized vehicle like myself).• There is countless paid lots nearby including the Trump Tower as well as several other enclosed lots all within a 4 block radius.”
“Good service. Very nice atmosphere was not too loud. Drinks were great, and definitely not run of the mill. Food was fresh and well thought out. Will make the trip again. The cheese curds are the best”
“WOW...it's some of the best fast food. And the staff is soooo amazingly friendly and helpful. Those fries are fire. The sandwich is amazing. I will so be back and be back often. There isn't much seating, but I'd go even if I had to sit in the car to eat.”
“A beautiful new restaurant located in the Saint Clair hotel! The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful on what to order. Homemade pasta and the ravioli recipe was a speciality from the owners grandma - definitely recommend! Don’t skip the baklava sundae for dessert”
“Absolutely love new Filipino restaurants popping up in the area. Street parking, open early and through dinner. Fireplace by the front windows, multiple drinks and foods available. Handicap entrance, but the counter to order has stairs so I'm not sure how that is handled. My wife and I went early morning on a weekday as soon as they opened. Limited seating inside, but we were able to get out items quickly. Filipino breakfast is served all day but it is very expensive for their servings. We got the longanisa (2pc) and spam (1pc) combo and it was around 10 after tax, but compared to Uncle Mike's around the corner, their portion seemed like an appetizer. I ordered an Ube latte. I took the pistachio milk (cost extra) vs whole milk. I was surprised and happy to see the it was not overly sweetened for a latte or an Ube drink. It's was more creamy from the milk and very subtle Ube flavor. The milk almost masks the purple potato flavor.I noticed that their lattes depend on their espresso machine. Unfortunately it produces one at a time so during rush hours, expect a wait.”
