I have visited Hanabusa Cafe a couple times during my visits to the city. I love the pancakes and the kiwi drink! There may sometimes be a line and you have to wait outside but it has never been too long of a wait.

The food is fine but the customer service is atrocious. Zero sense of urgency amongst the workers, they told us it'd be a 30 minute wait after ordering and ended up being 53 minutes (for 6 total pancakes!)There is very little food that I would wait that long for and these pancakes are definitely not good enough to warrant that wait. Will not be coming back.

It's really delicious here. I was surprised at how high the quality of the fluffy soufflé pancakes was. I want you to feel like you've been fooled and eat the soufflé pancakes. I honestly didn't expect it to be this delicious. It was so delicious that I thought there aren't many places like this in Japan.Takoyaki is normal. But it's usually delicious.I want you to try this soufflé pancake?. It was really fluffy, slightly sweet, and the fresh cream didn't make it taste too bad. I would love to go to Chicago again just to eat this.

We had the Gyoza and pancake and they were delicious. The passion fruit tea was amazing. It gets busy but not too

It’s all a gimmick. They make everything with the cheapest possible ingredients. They try and make it a happy fun place but ultimately the vibes are fake and lackluster. Extremely

If you are a Japanese souffle pancakes lover, or you want to try different pancakes, you must visit Hanabusa Cafe. Soooo delicious pancakes - these pancakes melt in your mouth like cotton candles. We tried the original pancakes - so special. The place is very cozy and their staff were very friendly. You have to choose the right timing - it gets crowded so quickly.I strongly recommend trying these fluffy delicious pancakes.

Hanabusa was really cute. The service was quick and the key lime green tea I had was amazing and super sweet. My friend loved his Nutella souflee pancake. I enjoyed the gyoza and edamame. The only thing I did not really like about it was our table was sticky when we got there and I think it could be been cleaned a bit

I stopped by for brunch on the weekend did have a little wait but definitely worth it for the fluffiest soufflé pancakes. I got Matcha cream topped with red bean, my friends tried the custard, and earl grey caramel. It was delicious, very cute and the appetizers (gyoza, takoyaki & fries) were good too!

The matcha latte is oversweetened; they don’t have any indication of whether you can adjust sugar level, so I asked an employee and she left to clarify with someone else, then no one came back? Then I had to go back to the counter to ask again after 10minutes just to learn it’s non-adjustable, which is different from what the first employee said. Very disappointing honestly…

The fluffy pancakes here are tasty, especially if you’re craving them or miss having them in Japan. Everything else about the space though, including the service, is a bit lacking. It all feels a bit catered to nice images for social media and the actual food and amenities are more of an afterthought. It feels like they know they have a hard to find item (Japanese fluffy pancakes) and everything else is an afterthought. Like half of the other things we would have liked to try were unavailable, including coffee drinks, which was quite disappointing. This was one of those places where I’ve tried it and it wasn’t bad per se, but I won’t be back. Been there, done that.

Absolutely delicious. Not a wait during the week but have seen a good sized line on the weekends. Can watch them bake and plenty of drinks and other eats to try. The souffles themselves were not overbearingly eggy at all. And with any cream or topping, blends so well into a delicious treat. Everyone was friendly/helpful and I was able to take some video as well. Thank you for the time today, Hanabusa, I sure hope I can make it back!
