It’s Monday about 9:30 10/2 and I don’t want to cook so I drive thru the McDonalds and I hate to leave reviews like this but it seems like the only recourse your left with this days.I order I have points I want to use but I guess they are busy and the African American woman that I always see there and know is too busy to take my coupon code. Fine no big deal but then I get to the window and this kid who looks like he is 18 at best does not want to take the code and is be belligerent with me about using a code. Finally he acknowledges the code and I pay. At this point I don’t care that much as it’s McDonald’s on a Monday at 9ish and yes I’m not expecting great service. He tells me the total after he runs my card. I haven’t been here in a while and it sounds high and since he didn’t want to deal with the points code I’m suspicious so after he unceremoniously hand me the food and my card I ask for a receipt. He gets very aggressive and starts yelling we don’t have none. I get it he’s working at McDonald’s so his life is probably not working out right. His best prospects are YouTube/toctok star or weed dealer but neither of these are probably going to pan out so this is his life. I ask to see a manager he once again aggressively tells me that he’s the asst manager, which if that’s true I feel bad that this is how far the service industry has sunk and maybe the minimum wage should be raised. I can see the African American woman who I’m very sure is the manager behind him but I guess she was too busy to manage her employees. So I have to do the thing that is just so stupid. I pull out my phone and record asking him for the receipt. He blocks his face and starts yelling private property and i ect. I calmly ask him for the receipt once again and mention he is leagal required to give me . The the woman “who once again I assume is the manager” asks him what the problem is. He tells her and she is “just print him the receipt.” All of this could have been avoided if he had just done that at the start. Maybe he was having a bad day, as I said life can’t be going his way at this point so I’m not that upset just annoyed. I would not even left a review except that as I was pulling away he yells I got your plate number and me and my boys are going to f*** you up. Now I’m not worried since he looked 110lbs soaking wet and I am much larger. I also assume his “boys” are also not a threat to me but is it unreasonable to go to a business and give them money and expect not to be threatened with bodily harm by the employees by simply wanting to check a receipt and make sure you were not overcharged. At no time did I threaten any repercussions or act aggressively. I simply asked for a receipt. I guess I will go on while this gentleman works at a job he hates and hates his own life so much that he takes it out on everyone else.
