This is a classic for us and we enjoy the tradition of it. Lovely setting and good food (they had a St Patrick day special that was cute). The service is unfortunately a lottery. This last visit was not great, we had to call for service several times and we felt we were bothering the staff with our asks (forgot the curd and clotted cream for instance) but then was much better towards the end. High Tea at The Palm Court is expensive. The food is yummy and the tea delightful. The service is also wonderful. However, it is LOUD in the tea area and tables are very close together, so you will have the sense of being at summer camp, rather than a high tea. We went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. The ambiance does not comport to what you expect at High Tea Service. My daughter has raved about this hotel, and we stayed on our way home from a road trip. It was phenomenal! From Chris the bellhop, Benny at the valet station, and Monique in the cafe; you couldn’t have asked for a more friendly group of people, who were willing to help, greet you with the biggest smiles, and make you feel like family. In a time when customer service seems to be a thing of the past, you won’t find that here! Bravo! Well done!
