There is something so convenient about chain coffee locations. They are always right there when you need them. I enjoy a Starbucks cup of coffee, but on a recent trip to Chicago, our hotel was closest to a Peet's. After a quick peruse of the menu, I realized the menu is quite similar to Starbucks - both coffee and bakery items. If you are from San Francisco you'll find it interesting and ironic that there is a Peets, a Ghirardelli and a Walgreens all in a landmark Chicago building. But hey, it beats Starbucks.

We were traveling in Chicago and always like to try new places each time we visit. We stumbled upon this place and decided to try. I got a Ice Skinny Vanilla Latte $6.97 was ok tasting I have had better. We were walking on Michigan Ave and you can find just about anything you want on this strip in Chicago, nice to just walk the shops while having your coffee drink and enjoy the day.
