This place is such a great secret gem. The food is fantastic. Generous meat portions I their tacos. Even their beans are better than most Mexican restaurants. Really great friendly service. I don't know why this place isn't more crowded. The only thing I can think of is that the decor might make it look like it's nothing special. If your in Lakeview, this should be your go to place for Mexican.
Called ahead to order carryout on a Saturday night, they told us 20 minutes and we got there on time but our food wasn't ready until 35-40 after ordered... Not ideal but OK. We had 3 tacos each, the al pastor was easily the star but the steak and chorizo were also good. The barbacoa was dry, wouldn't order again. The food was really good. The margaritas very lackluster and would not order them again. Service was surprisingly slow considering we were only one of two tables in the place, but really nice. Atmosphere was fine. Bathroom was a bit odd as it appears to be for one person except that there are two toilets without any separation. Low rating is due to the margaritas and slowness.
