Always a great meal and experience at Sal's! I love sitting at the bar but get there earlier than later because this spot is very popular and fills up quickly! Pastas are great and a nice choice of appetizers. I'm always going for the burrata. Meatballs are 2 thumbs up as well!
Sal’s is a great neighborhood Italian joint in Lakeview. The place is always hopping, the food is pretty exceptional (always start with the Burrata with the tomato jam and pesto…DROOL!!!) and the service is always attentive and on point. Because of how busy it is, there can be a short wait for you table, so just grab a drink at the bar!

We went on a busy Friday night and our table was ready right when we got there. They do pack you in there but it didn’t feel overwhelming.The mussels and burrata appetizer were some of the best I’ve had in the city. The rigatoni and bucatini entrees are great also. We finished the meal off with the house-made limoncello which wasn’t too sweet or overly strong.
