We had artichoke and sunchoke and meatball for shared appetizers, followed by each of us with a different pasta: caico buccatini, bolognese, gnocchi and spaghetti and one stuffed cabbage...all delicious! For dessert...chocolate sorbet, coconut cookie, almond Gelato and expresso martini.A delightful afternoon...not rushed...great food and beverages!Ask to be seated in Mario C's station!“

The menu is vegetarian friendly or you can request to customise. The star dish was their ricotta dumplings. It’s a 10/10 for me. Every item that we ordered was delicious. We got a complimentary birthday cake as we’re celebrating a friend’s birthday. I would highly recommend this place in downtown for a good Italian dinner.Vegetarian options: Pastas, bread, potatoes, aranciniDietary restrictions: They are open to customisation of the dish according to your dietary preferencesParking: Parking is difficult to find as it’s in downtown but paid street parking is available.“

“Absolutely a 10/10. The rum punch shots as a welcome were great. The drinks were tasty but we certainly felt them! The salmon egg rolls were tasty! Nice and crunchy and the sauce was delicious. The spinach & artichoke dip with garlic bread? AMAZING. It was such a filling appetizer! Also, the alfredo with lamb chops were super tasty! Love how the chops still had a chew to them even when well done. The drunken pasta was SO satisfying and well seasoned. I’m so glad we got to try this spot. Been on our list for a minute. The pastas come hot and stay hot! They don’t get lukewarm even after a couple minutes like some other restaurants and that’s what we loved. Our waiter, Mandy H was impeccable. 10 stars for her too. To top if off we enjoyed the butter cake with vanilla ice cream and it was the perfect size for 2! Definitely enjoyed to the fullest and will be coming again even though I’m trying to unbig my back. “Received a recommendation from the staff at our hotel today April 20 2024. We were a 5 minute walk away as we were visiting from Charlotte NC. When we walked in the AROMA AT THE DOOR was INCREDIBLE! They were also very busy which was an indicator that the food at the establishment had to be amazing. We didn’t have a reservation but the bar was available. There were not enough seats but other guests were so nice to slide down and allow us to sit.The bartender Stephanie jumped right in with our drink and food orders. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes! This place is ran like a well oiled machine! The food service and atmosphere was outstanding. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo. I ordered the linguine ali’ aragosta. Both were amazing. The flavors and pasta were literally perfection. The manager was very kind as well. I love when business make an effort to accommodate their guests in the manner that we were accommodated 10/10 would definitely recommend. We had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday early here. “We came here for one big night on town during our trip to Chicago. The reviews suggested this as one of the best restaurants in the city. The food agreed with that assessment. Started off waiting for reserved table to become available and then, once seated, just plain waiting! Got a nice bottle of Cab and or server, Jaclyn H, brought us bread. There was no oil and butter on the table so we had to ask for that and continued to wait. There was a big disconnect between our server and the runners, who were not running! Salad came shortly thereafter and we had to wait for silverware. This is a really nice restaurant that was punting on the simplest of things. It was frustrating. My dinner, the Polo Milanese was fantastic, as was her Paccheri alla Vodka. Dessert was yummy as well. Food was the savior on this evening, because I was unimpressed with a restaurant that has this reputation. Perhaps we try again, but with 5000 restaurants in Chicago, I'm not certain.“

Even if you don’t have the pleasure of meeting the owners you will still get the warm treatment from either Amy, Eric, Sophie or really any of the wait staff. Regardless, the food is what’s going to suck you in. I haven’t had pasta like this before. It’s truly made with patience and love. I never really loved pasta before, but this place made me have a new appreciation for it. Even if you can’t eat pasta the entrees, apps, and desserts will make you feel like you aren’t missing out. Giardiniera was not spicy at all and I do like spicy. Otherwise, will probably be back.Parking: There is a parking lot on the side of the building.“

“Everyone back East said I had to try this pizza. I am not really a pizza fanatic, but holy smokes, this is really really good pizza. I had the personal pepperoni with extra cheese and fresh garlic. It was amazing. They delivered to my hotel (Palmer House), and the delivery was fast for a busy night and the delivery driver was really nice. I totally recommend the pizza and service.“

“What an awesome Chicago food experience! Get the Italian beef sandwich dipped and you won’t regret this beautiful and messy experience. Add the beef in a cup for bonus points and extra protein! The prices are very fair given how much beef you get. It’s a fun and messy sandwich spot and a must try if you’re in Chicago. I would go back in a heartbeat. Check out my photos.“

“A few years have passed since I visited Tuscany on Taylor. It’s the same busy place I remember. The crowded space cozily hosts groups happily chatting away while enjoying their drinks and food. You almost feel like you’re in a trattoria in Italy. The wait staff is incredibly attentive and professional! The garlic, olive oil, and parmesan paste that is mashed tableside for dipping your bread is absolutely spectacular. Everything we ate was delicious, minus the olives on the charcuterie board, which lacked any flavor and were soft. That was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, Tuscany is a gem, which explains why it’s still busy after all these years in business!“

“I was recommended to this place, and after seeing the reviews, I decided to try it out for myself. This was my first time here. I was working at Willis Tower today, and this place is just a few minutes' walk from the building. I like the atmosphere when you walk into the place. I like the décor and the colorful feel to the room. Being from Chicago I decided to try the italian beef. You have to order your french fries separate with your order. I would have to say it was a huge beef. I ordered the combo italian beef and a side of french fries. The french fries order was the size of a family order. I have to say. I really enjoyed the italian beef and I really like the fries also. They had some really good looking deep dish, chicago pizzas. The menu is packed with options. I will be returning to try more. I definitely recommend this place as long as there is not a portillo's nearby. Anyone who has read my reviews on food in chicago, portillo's is my go-to spot.“

“Was looking for a good slice of pizza when visiting Chicago. I heard so much about that i needed to taste a slice and this place has been doing it since 1966. Stopped by to visit this place and order a pizza. My group that was with me were exploring downtown so the 5 of us stopped here for a quick rest stop. I think the staff was super disappointed as the 5 of us only ordered beers with the exception of me ordering a small Deep dish pizza. The server was great and explained it takes 45 minutes min for the deep dish to come. No problem. I wasn’t leaving Chicago without trying some real pizza. The pizza did not disappoint. It tasted great. The sauce had really great flavor. The cheese was nice and hot. Unfortunately we were not eating dinner there and were just stopping by for quick drink and pizza slice but i look forward to going back and having a Huge deep dish and going round 2. See you in Chicago!“

“The food was fantastic! The service was tremendous (incredible teamwork and passion)! The only issue I had was with the miserable little host/manager in the beige suit. One of the worst bedside manners I have ever seen from someone in the restaurant industry. He had a scowl on his face all night as he was walking around like a peacock. As my wife I were walking right past him on our way out, he wasn't going to say a word to us until I said, "Take care". At that point he responded, "Take care". ai guess I was expecting too much with a "Thank you".“

“We came here after a day at the Art Museum. We stopped at the bar outside the restaurant before our reservation time. It was relaxing but nice to look around and entertain our eyes. The bat recommended a nice bottle of wine which we had with the free bar snacks. We were able to carry our bottle over to the restaurant to finish it. To start out with the host was very pleasant. The gentleman that greeted us at our table and served us our water was as well. Our waiter was knowledgeable and listened to my husband explaining I was a vegetarian and gave me some suggestions. We had the tomato and burrata for the appetizer. It was good we’ve had better but perhaps to other people this one is better then what we had at other places. You never know. The breads were soooo good. We have been trying to eat more healthy and it was really hard for us to not eat more than one piece each. We split a wedge salad and it was plenty for both of us. I got pasta and my husband got a steak that was cooked to his liking. It’s been a couple of months that we were there so I will try to come back after looking at the menu to remember exactly what the pasta and the sides we had to review them. What is so important to me is how nice everyone was.“
