Really awesome service! My sister was having trouble with her knees as we walked through the large store. So I went back up to get some water for her to take ibuprofen pain reliever. The nice door person, went in back & brought a water bottle free of charge. So NICE! Plus of course, excellent food & ambiance that you expect from the Walnut room!
I chose the Walnut Room for a late lunch with a colleague because it covers all the bases -cozy atmosphere, good menu choices with reasonable prices, and most of all excellent service from a very hospitable and attentive server. Who can beat the yummy chicken pot pie that comes with a fresh salad for $15 in an iconic cozy dining room with a great view in downtown Chicago? I stopped by this place a lot because I was headed elsewhere and the baristas have customized specials that is listed on the mini chalkboard by the register when you order. I like customized drinks so depending when you go in, those drinks change daily. There is no issues with service and the drinks are always delicious.
