“10/10 experience at Sushi by Bou! We did the 12-course Omakase and everything was absolutely delicious.

From the moment we walked in, Chelsea greeted us with so much enthusiasm and made us feel right at home. Chef Poam was incredibly friendly and amazing at his craft. He explained every course so thoroughly and described each bite perfectly. You could really tell how much care went into everything.

Melissa, the bartender, was also so friendly and joyful! Her drinks were amazing - we had the “Tokyo Nights” and loved it.

The rest of the crew were wonderful and welcoming as well. Great food, great service, and an amazing overall experience. Definitely a 10/10, and we’ll be back!“

“I went here solo on a Thursday night. This is the absolute best sushi I ever had. Chef Otto is a sushi genius and the omakase experience proves. The highest quality fish I've had. Everything was on point. Sushi is very creative and not the nigiri you're used to. The experience is enhanced when you interact with Chef Otto. It was quiet at first but once you start chatting and getting to know Chef the dinner experience become even better. Make sure you ask him how he got into sushi and the story about Carlos Santana restaurant. It's only one turn of 8 total dinners so even though you may make reservations for 6:30 or 7, dinner only starts when everyone is there, I was able to get to know the other guests and I would encourage you to talk to your fellow dinners. It's about 2 hrs long and worth every penny. I plan on coming back every few months.“

The omakase in the back is one of the best combinations of quality and value in Chicago. It’s an approachable way to experience genuinely high-quality omakase without the price tag of some of the city’s much more expensive options.
The HandRoll Bar is excellent too. Fresh, creative, beautifully executed, and consistently good.
I honestly don’t understand why Tamu is sometimes so easy to get into. We’ve been to the other hand roll bars around Chicago, and this deserves to be every bit as popular, if not more.

“I discovered this place online about a year ago and have been a repeat customer ever since. I've done a lot of exploring on their menu and have never been disappointed. Everything is fresh, flavorful & delicious. I'm no foodie, but I know these guys keep me coming back. AND their delivery packing is so freaking adorable!! It may sound silly, but the bag and boxes the food comes in is so well done and elevates the at home experience.

Alexis was also super friendly and provided us with an extra piece of sushi (because it was our first time trying uno and I wasn’t the biggest fan) to make up for it! 10/10 on all fronts“

“Walked in on a Wednesday to grab a quick bite around 3pm and the store was mostly empty except for another party. There’s a kiosk if you want to order push-up style rolls, but you can just grab a tray and tongs for the sushi by weight.

I think the sushi quality is just fine, but the benefit is that you get to choose how much you want of everything, and you can keep a small portion size. We got a few different things just to try them, but they had a limited variety and a few of the ones that sounded good were not available. I guess we came at a random time, but I was hoping we could try out a bigger variety. Some were way too saucy, and some did not have enough sauce. Was a bit worried about the open air plates, and didn’t notice if the sushi was on ice or anything, so I was slightly concerned that it wasn’t cold enough for the fish.

Nice that you can get a pack of ginger. Decently priced per pound! We got $13 worth of sushi and were both satisfied with the amount of food.
