“I had the Jollof rice with two meats. I found the meal to be very tasty. The chichen was a little dry but the beef was really good. I had the plantains also but didn't realize that they were a separate price only because they were offered with the mael. Overall the meal was really good ?“
“It’s about time Chicago gets solid West African cuisine. Dozzy didn’t disappoint. Had the Designer Jollof Rice Bowl and it was delicious. I combined it with a couple orders of the shrimp suya sticks which put it over the top. Now, I loved the jollof, but that’s to be expected. What wasn’t expected was the shrimp. I can honestly say it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The herbs were perfect and it was grilled just the way I like it. I’ve known Dozzy for a long time and I’m so happy he’s sharing his gift to the world. Y’all get some.“
“This place offers you the rare opportunity to taste Ghanian food. Some dishes are very spicy so be careful. I highly recommend anything with plantains. The only reason I gave it fewer stars is that they don't have prices on the menu and I kinda suspect they just pick a number based on how you look. I had an appetizer that cost the same as an entree and was definitely overpriced. But, it was all delicious!“
“Today I dined in and my plant-based choice was the vegetarian Thiou Curry, a bed of rice, a side of plantains, and a cup of Gingembe!! The food at Gorée Cuisine is delicious and flavorful. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable and the Gingembe is made in-house. Would totally recommend this restaurant experience.“
