I would just like to say after driving an hour to pick up my stranded husband. We wandered into town and we found Maria’s!!! Can I say this place didn’t disappoint!!! I’ll say this my 4 yr old is a picky eater at times and new restaurants aren’t her favorite. But she had a meat ball and ate every bite then turned herself to my plate of tortellini. Review: I stumbled upon Maria's Pizza during a road trip through Colona, IL, and I'm so glad I did! This place is a true hidden gem. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich was absolutely divine - the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Food is amazing! The pan pizza is huge and so filling. I wish the seating area was more "cozy". Everything is gray and the chairs and tables are outdated and uncomfortable. We have gotten pastas, pizza and chicken strips. The portions are huge and well worth the money. However the chicken strips and pastas don't reheat well so I suggest sharing entrees to eliminate the leftovers.
