“Nice, very tiny place. Good beer. Seating is not the most comfortable, lots of backless bar stools and small tables. Within the location is a business where they press cremated ashes into diamonds. Fine. But then brewery stuff is stored in the dead people processing partitioned space. I don't get it.“
“The atmosphere is fantastic both indoors and out. Recently I discovers that Log Cabin has a Bocce Leauge on Thursdays! I was so impressed I’m throwing my 50th birthday here this June! The food is great, the beer is cold, the music the best, the fire pits are fantastic & the service is pleasant and kind!“
“Everything we had was delicious and truly in hefty amounts, so much we left alot to discard unfortunately (we were flying so no way to package it up).. Waiters very pleasant and great at making suggestions.. If you like a strong flavorful drink, Try the dacquiri or mojito! Awesome!“
“My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owners, Chris and Nikki and the bartender, Monica are always welcoming and take good care of us. Nice atmosphere, good company, lots of tvs if you want to watch the game, great music playing in the background. The food is always very good and freshly made. Some of our favorites are the chicken kabobs, the Jerry's Special, and the burgers, which are excellent! Half price martinis on Wednesdays with a long list of options to choose from. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there and they were very accommodating and everyone had a great time!“
“Every bar has a gimmick. Nowadays a lot of them getting too gimmicky. Not this place no gimmick. Hard to find in Chicago.Tried to drink all of their $4 tall boy PBR. The chicken quesadilla, how I got me and my coworker home. If I wasn’t in town on business I would’ve drank all their $4 tall boy PBR.In all seriousness, was told they were under new management. Obviously it’s working. Staff was entertaining, locals were non stop entertainment, food was crème de la crème of bar food.“
“Our friends have three adopted sons from Bulgaria, so we all wanted to meet for Bulgarian food. Balkanika did not disappoint; there were plenty of options for meat dishes, seafood, and vegetarian options. The portions were very generous; too much in some cases, but that allows for leftovers to go! One of our Bulgarian teen boys ordered the whole fish, and he ate the whole thing (except the eyeballs). The fish got his stamp of approval. The other teen boy had pizza, which he liked very well and shared with the rest of us. If I had any criticism, it would be wanting a bit more flavor, but perhaps culturally Bulgarian food is simply meat-forward, allowing the meats to speak for themselves. (I don't really know though; I'm guessing here.) Interestingly, one of the meals came with a sauce that looked like ketchup, but tasted different, in a good way. I want all ketchup to be Bulgarian now. That stuff could be bottled and sold, and it would make me very happy. The wait-staff was friendly and helpful to us, not like I read in some of the other reviews. The restaurant has a little snack store near the entrance, and one of the waitresses described things to us and helped us make our choices of treats to go (we wanted airplane snacks, since we were flying later). To sum up, Balkanika was a fun experience, with good food and generous portions.“
“A great BIG Thank you to the staff at Club Casa. We had a funeral luncheon for my Mom there on 3/4/24. This was my second function upstairs in the banquet hall and this place never disappoints. It was obviously a difficult time for our family and booking the party with Olga and Kyle was so easy. On the day of the luncheon, the servers Dylan and Natalie and the bartender Don never missed a beat. “Awesome steakhouse in Rivers casino! We love Gibson's/Hugo's downtown, so it's always fun to go to this location at the casino. Steak, salads, cocktails, wine, desserts, all amazing! Service is great and the manager always seems to be around and checking in with tables. Always a fantastic experience“
