“We had a table of 11 for a birthday celebration and we had my nephew with us and he has autism. There are times that we get looks or people just are not understanding. My nephew spilled a drink and the owner I believe it was came to help clean it up and was so nice about it. Some people don’t engage in conversation with my nephew as sad as that is and the girl/hostess there made a point to talk to him two or three times. I honestly was so impressed with the kindness of everyone. The food was a bonus because it was great as always, but the genuine niceness of everyone really won me over. Thank you to Basil Tree for your kindness towards my nephew.”

“I longed for a London Fog yesterday. I went and got one and I couldn’t put it down. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I also got a sausage and Swiss breakfast bagel sandwich. It was so good and soooo filling! The most satisfying breakfast I’ve ever sat in my truck and enjoyed.”

“Nice small town bar. It's a quaint place to grab a cold one and relax. It gas a pool table and video gaming. It sits across from the Rock river where there is a park with a canoe launch, and kitty corner from the John Deer museum. They also have a monthly cheese lady who sells Wisconsin goods.”

The barista, looking harried, apologized and said they would remake it, but there was a long line of orders ahead. I sighed, accepting that I would have to wait, my morning schedule already feeling the pinch.

Just then, a girl standing next to me, who I hadn't noticed in my distracted state, turned and smiled. "Hey, I couldn't help but overhear. What was your order supposed to be?"

"Caramel macchiato with an extra shot," I replied, a hint of frustration in my voice.

Her eyes sparkled with understanding. "I can help with that. My name's Taylor, by the way. I actually work here part-time, but today I'm just grabbing a drink before class." She slid behind the counter with ease, her movements confident and fluid.

I watched as Taylor swiftly gathered the ingredients. She moved with the precision of someone who knew the rhythm of the place, despite not being on duty. In no time, she handed me a new cup, steam curling from the opening.

"Here you go," she said, her smile warm and reassuring. "One caramel macchiato with an extra shot, just the way you like it."

I took a cautious sip. The flavors were perfect—the rich espresso balanced by the sweet caramel, just as it should be. I looked at Taylor, gratitude flooding through me. "Thank you so much. You really saved my morning."

She laughed softly, a sound like a melody. "No problem at all. I'm glad I could help. Enjoy your drink, and have a great day."
