We were looking for a new place to try for lunch, so this one got the nod. The last time we tried it a few days earlier, they had water problems and were closed.They were open this time. Bar and Deli was the sign on the door.We got in and it was (as stated) a bar and a Deli.My wife ordered their Mommy Salami and I had their Beef Sandwich. Went to the Ally Loop during the Wednesday night farmers market , and was greeted by the most friendly bartender (Angel). We had the best service, food and drinks!! Not to mention she was the bartender, waitress, and cook. She even made food for customers after the kitchen closed. So refreshing to see people who take pride in their work!! We will be back!!

The Loop has the absolute BEST SANDWICH in North West Illinois. There isn’t a bad option when it comes to the greatness being served up from Linda’s kitchen. While some may think of this hidden gem as just a dive bar that serves good sandwiches; I think of it as a fine dining establishment that just so happens to be in a dive bar.
