“How do I explain how much I love going to Smooth Sips. The atmosphere is always calm and inviting. Colorful artwork from a local school art club splashes tantalizingly across one wall, and there is often jazz music playing. The owner, Crystal, is always ready with a smile (and a smoothie suggestion if you need one!) It is always spotless and the seating options are cozy. I often come in to write (so hopefully you can excuse the flowery review), and it's easy to get work done in the environment Crystal has set. I imagine it would be a lovely space for studying (thankfully I don't have to do that anymore haha). Smooth Sips only uses high quality ingredients, and you can certainly taste the difference. I'm a coffee person myself, and the flavors that are offered are a great balance of options. My favorite is probably the cardamom rose latte, but I'm slowly making my way down the entire flavor list. And that's not even Crystal's specialty! Her smoothies are where she shines. Again, the high quality ingredients add a layer of flavor that commercial smoothie places simply can't match. Her selection is always changing, so be sure to come in and try things while she has them! If you like sweeter smoothies, she is always happy to add some agave for you :) As a fun bonus, Crystal also makes spice blends! She's even won awards for her ghost pepper spice (and in Texas, too, where I'm from, so you know it's good). I've tried her lemon pepper, made with lemon peel rather than just lemon flavor, and it is a rich complex flavor that makes me actually want to learn to cook. Luckily my fiancée does the cooking so I don't have to worry about anything but tasting it in the meantime ;) Speaking of, my fiancée has never been one for coffee shop hangouts, but Smooth Sips has us both coming along for mini-dates. I probably am mildly annoying my friends and coworkers about it, but I will continue to do so, because it's just that good. If you visit, I'm sure you will agree. 10 stars.“

“Fantastic place to stop in for a high-quality espresso.I visit the Peoria area roughly once every two years, and CxT has been my go-to spot for coffee while I'm in town for the past couple of visits.Their standard house espresso (as a doppio) is part of my morning routine every day, and I haven't found an espresso to match it elsewhere in Peoria. The baristas are fantastic and knowledgeable about their products, the store is kept clean and has a nice appearance, and I've felt nothing but welcomed whenever I've come in.From the brief couple of times I've tried other drinks (a cappuccino here and there, something akin to a maple cayenne latte a couple weeks ago, etc.) they've been excellent as well, but I don't know if I'd say they're completely different than what you'd find at any other high-quality café.Anyway, I'd highly recommend CxT Roasting Company to anyone, but especially for those espresso aficionados out there.“

The coffee comes from the family farm in Columbia, and they use the farm as a place to offer employment and training to a population and demographic that might otherwise be overlooked.Over the last 3 weeks I’ve visited 3-4 times and the quality is consistent with each visit.Home made and/or locally sourced pastries are available (and delicious).The owner Marta is inspiring, friendly, and makes incredible drinks. Her staff, as well.Parking: The lot is not huge, but even with 8-10 people inside parking is no problem. There is a lot of street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The ground level is very spacious.“

“I have been purchasing coffee from LNB for about 6 years now, maybe longer! Shannon is always so wonderful to work with at the Peoria Heights location. He always remembers me and is such a wonderful person. I can tell he enjoys his job and he always excels in delivering amazing customer service! I guess I am a coffee snob because no other coffee beans will do! Oh! And your Morton location also has given me the same kind of customer service! The lunch sandwiches are wonderful! “Quiet, airy and inviting! Fantastic quality of Mexican pastries that are given the utmost attention to detail! I had the Yuzu Green Tea and it was delicious. “The Spot, hands down, has the best chai in the area. I’ve tried quite a few coffee shops around here and their chais are always insanely sweet for me. The Spot accommodates my request for “extra spicy” and the spice level is usually perfect. For reference, I prefer less sweet drinks. In my experience with this place, they are super friendly and willing to try to work with you to make what you actually want! Literally my fave coffee place to stop by. Their pastries are also super delicious, I believe they get them from Four Scones?“

“Everything here is always great! The staff is always energetic and smiling and kind! I order a cold drink usually and they always make it right. The store is clean and there is seating inside and out. The drive though is usually busy and people seem genuinely happy with their purchase and service. Its right in the corner of War Memorial and Prospect so it has a convenient location and if you live nearby, its a short walk up.Parking: The lot is shared with other businesses.“
