“When "Walgreens" pops up as one of the few options for coffee on Google maps, you can't help but lower your expectations. But omg Zion just went ahead and raised them right back up. This place is sick. Massive windows, lots of plants, a patio, a loft, couches, and a roaster right inside the store. This Scandinavian styled coffee shop is the stuff of legends, easily putting the rest of Peoria's coffee shops to shame. The baristas were energetic, knowledgeable, and fly as hell; the drinks were equally amazing. I got a chai latte, which looked so pretty I could barely drink it, and tasted so good I could barely stop to take a picture. Def check this place out“
“My husband and I stopped in while in town today, for our first time!! Great food, wonderful drinks and outstanding service! Carrie P waited on us and she was wonderful! We own a restaurant in central Illinois and we appreciate hard working staff that pays attention to detail and are a joy! We will absolutely be back!“
“Ardor provides an incredibly wonderful culinary experience right here in downtown Peoria. The food is so fresh, high quality, and full of amazing flavors. Their menu features many different options and each is beautifully presented by the very talented crew. I’ve enjoyed watching the staff prepare the food to absolute perfection - Alyssa and Kaitlynn in the mornings and Emily and Zeke in the evenings. I regularly pop in and sit at the bar without a reservation. If you don’t wish to sit at the bar, don't be surprised if you can't get a table without a reservation, and even at the bar there can be a wait to get a seat. Last week I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese and it was the best comfort food. Visit often, try the new items, find your favorites, and definitely take home some bakery goodies. Make sure to try a fabulous cocktail crafted by mixologist, Kostas. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Indian is my favorite cuisine, and I say with no hesitation, Bollywood Bites is the best I’ve ever had. I wish I had taken photos of the entrees, but once they came out we were too busy diving in to think about taking our phones out! We started our meal with #9: Gabbar Gobi 65 Dry, which is a fried cauliflower appetizers that my party of three agreed could have been an entree. The flavors were phenomenal and you’d have a hard time telling that it’s a vegetable (yes, that good!). For entrees we went with #31: Bollywood Biryani (which is a screaming deal at $14), #52: Rangeela Lamb Rogan Josh (the blend of spices is sophisticated and elegant), and #63: Hariyali Chicken (we did our best to break the chicken down to small bites so we could savor it for as long as possible).I’ve lived in Peoria for almost two years now and can’t believe that I’m just now becoming a patron of Bollywood Bites. I will be back, with every friend and family member I can gather.“
“Starbucks off Knoxville in Peoria, IL is usually pretty fast given they are directly across from an interstate exchange and two major hospitals. That being said, they got my drink order wrong. I’m not mad,m. I asked for oatmilk instead of dairy, as I’m cutting back down. It’s not worth wasting product on a mistake. I just hope they take a little more time to confirm as they were pushing out customers very quickly.“
“Quiet, airy and inviting! Fantastic quality of Mexican pastries that are given the utmost attention to detail! I had the Yuzu Green Tea and it was delicious. The staff member was nice and she greeted me with a warm smile!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs or incline! Plenty of room inside for a wheelchair.“
“The coffee is incredible. They roast their own and offer flavors unlike any others I've seen in the area. They usually have vegan-friendly pastries and whatever milk will suit your fancy for a drink. The main sitting area is very chic and cozy. There are spots outside as well as a little nook inside if you need a quieter area to sit. As for the service, i absolutely love these people. They're so friendly and welcoming, and don't just flat out ignore you if you aren't ordering like some cafes do. It's in a beautiful historic building that always gives me inspiration whenever i go there to get work done.“
“Food like someone's favorite family member made it like... good good????☕ . Had the skillet with cheese. The onions potatoes? and green pepper were well seasoned and the cheese? was American melted ?? side of a short stack?. My manfriend had a bacon ?and cheese? omelet. He loved the bacon? was whole folded with the cheese? into the omelet, crispy enough to easily cut into but not too dry. Hot sauce? on the eggs? and a half order of biscuits and gravy, which was better than I make. That breakfast anywhere else would have been $35- $45 but this place was an amazing value ? Staff is funny and friendly. Regulars make the atmosphere great!“
“The Spot, hands down, has the best chai in the area. I’ve tried quite a few coffee shops around here and their chais are always insanely sweet for me. The Spot accommodates my request for “extra spicy” and the spice level is usually perfect. For reference, I prefer less sweet drinks. In my experience with this place, they are super friendly and willing to try to work with you to make what you actually want! Literally my fave coffee place to stop by. Their pastries are also super delicious, I believe they get them from Four Scones?“
“This Starbucks has the kindest drive thru people! The drinks were made delicious and some of the best I’ve had from a Starbucks. And super fast serviceVegetarian options: Not sure of vegetarian options but can askDietary restrictions: They do have different milks and optionsParking: Free parking lot but a small lotKid-friendliness: Not super kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility“
“I bought some cinnamon sugar donuts and sugar cookies for my son's birthday party as he had a few friends with several allergies attending. I wanted them to be able to enjoy treats as well. There happened to be 1 donut leftover and I tried it. It was AMAZING! Flavor was delicious, it was moist/not dry, and it wasn't overly sweet like regular donuts. I also want to give a shout-out to the owner for responding on such short notice for the ingredient list. I needed to verify the foods would be okay for the kiddos attending the party and she got back with me within a few short hours. Thank you!!!!!“
“Everything here is always great! The staff is always energetic and smiling and kind! I order a cold drink usually and they always make it right. The store is clean and there is seating inside and out. The drive though is usually busy and people seem genuinely happy with their purchase and service. Its right in the corner of War Memorial and Prospect so it has a convenient location and if you live nearby, its a short walk up.Parking: The lot is shared with other businesses.“
“The atmosphere is good for getting some work done with plenty of tables for most times and outlets. This store unionized a couple years ago (I think it was two) and a lot of things went downhill as union busting caused turnover. It’s pretty disappointing that union stores don’t get tips on credit card transactions, too.But this is a review of the service which is great. Particularly a barista who usually has colorful hair and a gentle soul. She always brightens my day and clearly cares about everyone who walks in. I’m also always warmly greeted by the man who seems to be a manager there. I just love going here, especially on days when I feel bad, the staff has everything to do with that.Pro tip for other customers: bring cash for tip since they don’t have a credit card to prompt; or use the Starbucks app with your card attached so you can add a tip.“
“We 're There on 12-13-23.My Friend And I, had The Club Sandwich With The Greens on The Side.Very Good. Hit The Spot!!We 're Trying to Figure Out The Dressing on the Greens. Very light. Perfect Condition of favors?. Can You Share Maybe? ThanksDoris J Miller“
“Fantastic place to stop in for a high-quality espresso.I visit the Peoria area roughly once every two years, and CxT has been my go-to spot for coffee while I'm in town for the past couple of visits.Their standard house espresso (as a doppio) is part of my morning routine every day, and I haven't found an espresso to match it elsewhere in Peoria. The baristas are fantastic and knowledgeable about their products, the store is kept clean and has a nice appearance, and I've felt nothing but welcomed whenever I've come in.From the brief couple of times I've tried other drinks (a cappuccino here and there, something akin to a maple cayenne latte a couple weeks ago, etc.) they've been excellent as well, but I don't know if I'd say they're completely different than what you'd find at any other high-quality café.Anyway, I'd highly recommend CxT Roasting Company to anyone, but especially for those espresso aficionados out there.“
