It was fork tender, I could pull off a bite without using a knife. The flavor was good and not over sauced. All their side dishes are housemate and delicious. My sides were; Mac-n-Cheese and Potato Salad. The Mac-n-Cheese was rich and creamy, but for me it needed more pepper (easy fix). My Potato Salad was one of the best that I have had at a BBQ joint.The young lady working the order window was friendly and answered my questions professionally. “We have been going to Gentelin's for about 10 years and the food is consistently excellent. My wife and I were there last night and we both had the filet mignon. I also ordered a crab stuffed portabella mushroom to complement my steak. Talk about YUM! Ryan is the owner and chef, and he takes personal ownership in maintaining the outstanding quality of the food. He also has a special talent of bringing together the right ingredients to make each menu item wonderful. A recent example is the Crabmeat Stuffed Chicken - to die for! The salads are also very good and they offer a $5.00 appetizer from time to time, last night's was Philly Cheesesteak wontons, yummy and very creative! The food always comes out in a timely manner and is always the right temperature. They also have a very good beer, wine, and drink selection too. “We both had horseshoes which were delicious. The burgers tasted like ground sirloin. The waitress said 2 sides. I asked what the sides were and I chose salad. She immediately took my friend's order and did not give the opportunity for me to choose my second side. She brought out or entrees and check and never returned. My friend needed a refill on her drink. She put her glass at the edge of the table however, pur waitress never came back. She walked past us a couple of times but never even looked at us. We had to request to go boxes from another employee. Terrible customer service from our waitress. Good thing the food was good because customer service was the worst.“

“Stopped by here for breakfast. Have eaten here a few times over the past couple of years. My wife use to eat here when her grandparents lived down the road. Inside is nicely decorated for a old style inn feeling. Was greeted as we walked in and told to sit where we wanted. Staff was friendly and the food was good. While we were eating one of the waitresses, not ours, decided that she needed to fill the jelly holders on everyone's table that was there eating. Ours was missing only three jelly containers. Didn't really understand the urgency for that since it was sitting by my plate of food. Overall it was a nice visit, our waitress was friendly and we will definitely go back again.“

“Called ahead and took 16 people. They sat us in the front dining room. We were noisy so it was a good place for us so we didn’t bother diners in main dining area. Everything was set up when we arrived. Menus were given to us and I looked it over. There was several good things to pick from. Would I get the catfish and fries? A Lenten special there’s about 8 long strips rolled in probably Andy’s seasoning. Definitely cornmeal based. It was fried perfectly. Flaky white fish. Crunchy on outside. Piles on rye bread and sharing the plate with french fries. The fries were crinkle fries, and they were fried perfectly as well. Accompanying it was a wonderful Italian salad with h fresh veggies. I started the meal with wings h fresh hot coffee and fresh crispy cold water. Finished with Diet Pepsi since they have only Pepsi products. While waiting they provide pub cheese and crackers. Some people had the famous grilled tenderloin. It came with rye also. Some had cod and some had white fish. Don’t know what it was but everyone said it was good. One person had a pony shoe and the cheese fries looked awesome. Have never had dessert here because we’re always full. They do have cold draft beer which I love. Waitress was nice. Was it perfect? No. Cups are plastic. I never like that. Salad came with the meal. Had to wait for condiments, but it was all minor and we loved it and would do it again.“

“I recently dined here with friends and our service, drinks, and food were absolutely phenomenal! I personally had the arancini, 8oz filet, cream corn gratin, and the mezcal margarita. The filet was seared and cooked to perfection. I didn’t even use the sauce they brought on the side. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive and the chef (Body) came around to ask how our meal was as well. By the time we finished with our dinner and drinks it was approaching closing time and most places would be rushing you out the door. “Had a VERY large party here the other day, about 30 or more people. The food was very good and came out fast. We were greeted at the door by a manager and he was very polite! He also made sure to come by and check on us. The experience was made wonderful by our server McKenzie and the entire staff! As far as our server she was so happy and cheerful the entire time, always had a smile on her face and recommended so many amazing drinks to us! I can not say enough good things about her and the experience just through this review!
