“To me, Hibachi style cuisine is my absolute favorite. Many area Hibachi style restaurants have similarly delicious food to Kenzi. What separates Kenzi from everywhere else is the price.Usually for our family of 5 to eat at a sit down Hibachi style restaurant, it would cost us roughly $40/pp. With Kenzi, we can get 3 meals and it’s more than enough food for five of us for around $50!We can also get all the different types. Steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, fried rice, noodles, etc.Truly the best deal around. 10/10 food, pace of service, owner, everything.Oh, and extra Yum Yum!!“
“They've come back strong. Quality suffered before COVID but still pretty much the only place in town. After their temporary closure we were forced to travel elsewhere to get out Chinese food fix. When they reopened they came back with higher pricing but much better quality. Tried to go today but had to back out of there due to excessive heat. The air broke and the heat was stifling. Will be back when we can breathe in there again.“
“I go here a LOT and bring all my friends here! Mings is the BEST value in the region for a Chinese Buffet. Their Sushi is all you can eat and at minimum grocery store quality and better than any other sushi at buffets I've had. Why would anyone eat grocery store sushi when you could get all you can eat PLUS a full Chinese buffet and grill for half the cost to fill yourself up? Their Crab Rangoons are handmade with thin wonton wrappers unlike the bready ones you get most Chinese restaurants and the same is true for their wontons - their fried and steamed wontons are some of the best I've had. The selection of the buffet has something for everyone and the quality is as high if not higher than take out. My only, and I do mean only negative point is their General Tso's is the only subpar item :-( (not crispy / big pieces / too soggy) but the Sesame and Honey Chicken and all other items are always on point, crispy and saucy and most importantly - not excessive breading like most other buffets - the meat / breading ratio is perfect. Even their honey shrimp is thin and crispy breading, flavorful and not hidden in a ball of dough like other buffets. Overall, I will drive out of my way to go to Ming's, and highly recommend as the best buffet in the area!“
“Went here for lunch but ended up ordering from the sushi list. The rolls were all very good but nothing that really stood out as spectacular. I'd eat there again for dinner when I have more of an appetite as I'm sure that would add to the experience.“
“Great tasting place, fantastic place ?. The bar up mixed drinks were not impressive, short pours. Ordered the Rum drink for $10 and 4 or us tated it and all 4 of us were not impressed. I would not advise the bar for mixed drinks. Bill for 7 of us was close to $300.“
“Absolutely delicious. Grilling the meats at the table was not just satisfying, but the taste of the marinades, meats and seasonings was awesome. The steak and pork belly were so delicious. Plus, a decent price for the endless option. I can't wait to eat there again.“
“My friend and I had to come into Peoria this afternoon & decided we really wanted sushi! After reading reviews, we decided to give this place a chance & boy are we glad we did!We were seated by the robot, which was a little weird but kind of fun at the same time. Our waiter, we didn’t catch his name, was so sweet& nice! He made small talk with us & asked about our jobs when we knew we were from out of town. My friend has medical issues & he was so sweet asking her questions and being so polite. My sushi was absolutely amazing! My friend also got sushi & an order of Chicken Lo mein. It looked, smelled, & tasted delicious!! & our food was done within 10-15 minutes of ordering! Fastest sushi service we’ve ever received! Granted we had just missed the lunch rush but still very impressed! We will definitely be coming back again!“
