“The Chicago styled pizza is amazing !!! I love the burnt styled cheese on it !! First time trying this place and I loved it !! I will definitely be back to try more pasta and ofcourse the pizza !! It is now one of my favorite places . I also got the Gnocchi which really showcases the sauce here ! The tomato soup was a great choice it had a lot of flavor and I’m glad if tryed it . My service was fast and great . Nice spacious place with a lot of booth seating .“
“Our bartender was awesome! I was 3 days dehydrated and starved, and just spent all day on a series of planes, the last of which had been many hours and hot af; I was desperate for water. The food was great except for what wasn't. I had the salmon Rockefeller but the cook didn't know how to make hollandaise sauce, I guess... it was like baked eggs on top, which was still quite tasty, everything else about the salmon was amazing overall, and cream of chicken soup and the asparagus were superb, but the rice served with it was basically garbage, completely opposite of the rest of the meal, dry, crusty, hard bits like they scraped the edge of a pan and tasteless. I don't get it, like a which one of these things don't belong... we also ordered the shrimp de Jonge - which was wonderful. I don't remember what my partner ordered, but it was a sandwich and fries and he said it was great. I tried the fries and they were awesome. We're already discussing going back. I'll just skip the rice...“
“Really good food as well as excellent customer service. the staff were very hospitable and my waiter Johnny made sure we were well taken care of. Will definitely be back! Johnny gave very good recommendations, attended to all our needs, and made us feel welcome. Ask for Johnny if you want amazing service.“
“I love this place! The chicken Marsala is incredible! We also had eggplant roll acting as an appetizer, linguine with clams, gnocchi and manicotti! All great and we all have dinner for tomorrow! Service is great and always like talking to the owner, who makes you feel like you are his personal guests! Only suggestion for improvement is to assign the waitstaff to one area! This happened last time too. The servers are running all over! Be a little kinder to them. They work so hard!“
“I have lived away from the Chicago area for 26 years. So whenever I am back I must indulge in a great Italian beef sandwich. I was staying near Midway so I decided to give Tony's a try. They did not disappoint. I phone ordered the "big beef" with hot peppers and provolone medium wet to go. They told me about ten minutes. I got there about 30 minutes later expecting to quickly pay pickup and be on my way but had to wait about 5 minutes or so. But I realized this was a good thing as they meticulously assembled the order with the peppers and oil in a separate container which otherwise would have made the sandwich a soggy mess by the time I got back to the hotel. The beef was perfectly moist and seasoned and the sandwich was huge. I only planned to eat one half but could not stop. The staff was super friendly. It is pretty much a take out spot with a small counter eat in area and a small off the street parking area in the back. I highly recommend Tony's for any connoisseurs of the Chicago style Italian beef sandwich.“
“A friend told me about this neighborhood gem. I'm blown away by the friendly atmosphere and staff. If you're looking for something special and authentic this is the place to visit. Everything made in-house and freshly prepared with care and love“
“Pizza was good, but it isn’t my preferred style. Toppings were all excellent, but I would personally like more sauce. I called for pick up and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I got one pepperoni, one sausage, and one Italian beef with mild giardinera.“
“EXCELLENT DATE NIGHT SPOT!Stopped one night after a Blackhawks game. I was worried we were completely underdressed, It was obvious that it is a small neighborhood restaurant when the waitress asked if we'd ever been and said she didn't recognize us. The menu was amazing! The authentic Italian cuisine is very flavorful and the portions are perfect. We will definitely be back!“
“Went in for dinner with my daughters, and the ambiance was so friendly, being greeted when walking in. We did not have to wait long for a table for 5, we had the cod dinner, pizza, chicken tenders, and cheeseburger. The girls and I loved it. Can't believe we moved to Midlothian over a year ago and we just tried this place!! We sure have been missing out.“
“Really nice Personal working there. They have a specific Pjone orders are which I didn't see at first. Either way the cashier went to go get it for me from that area and was really friendly. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of options to access their food with delivery/ pick up and Eat in looks great to visit. delivery also doesn't have inflated prices like on Uber etc just a flat 5$ from what I seen so thats a huge plus since that means there's no reason to not order even with deliveryParking: Parked in front but then realized they have a restaurant specific parking lot“
“True Italian cooking in a bar like setting, has a private side room away from the bar and outdoor seating weather permitting. Long time established bar that has been remodeled to make it more family friendly.Parking: Newly asphalt parking lot that can get full, but street parking is close by.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots right by entrance and no stairs inside.“
“This family owned business is such a warm and inviting place. The food was amazing, every bite was a burst of flavor. The portions are large so plan on getting more than one meal out of it. The prices are very reasonable and the owners make you feel like old friends. Highly recommend and I will be back.“
“Discovered this gem last night. Wonderful Italian restaurant in a residential area not too far from Midway Airport. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We parked in the lot and were seated right away. Wait staff were friendly and accommodating with good recommendations. I would love to go back.“
“My family has been coming to Francesca’s on 95th for years for gatherings and special occasions. All of the food is delicious; I particularly enjoy the vodka pasta with sausage (the paccheri alla vodka e salsiccia). They also have awesome appetizers and a variety of drink options. The atmosphere is great, and it works well for lunches or dinners.“
“My first time dining in here it was really nice really intimate. I had the soup of the day which was cream carrot. It was delicious. I also had the chicken gardinera. It was good, and I also ordered the Bellini as a drink. Everything was good accommodating everything came out fast And very fresh my server was nice parking was good ? I sat at bar no crowd went about 230 in afternoon“
“Delicious food, everyone was so nice. My water was never less than halfway full, because the staff was so fast before the dinner rush. The shrimp broccoli fedicini alfredo was around $26 the chicken siciliana was around $22. The pastas were so large difficulty recommended splitting it or half to take home. The atmosphere was so cozy everyone coming or going was saying bye to a table or two, it was so cute. We almost kept walking before we came in because the only outdoor sign was a little covered by the trees. At the end we also got a beautiful pistachio canoli $6, chocolate tartufo gelato $5, and a frozen crema e pistachio $5 to-go. The entire order plus tip was around $100 which was more than google had mentioned. We definitely have plans to go back since the food and shop at front was so awesome.“
“This quaint Italian bistro was fantastic! The cocktails we had were riffs off some of the classics (Italian old fashioned, Italian 75) and were really fresh and flavorful. The arrancini was quite good, and my Nonni's pot roast was superb - rich, tomato and beef forward, served on al dente pasta that melded into an amazing dish that was perfect comfort-food. When I'm back in town, I plan on visiting again.“
“My son and his family brought a huge box of your mouthwatering items to me here in Wisconsin. I was born and raised in Chicago so I was use to good Italian food and I really missed it until I received yours. It was THE BEST SURPRISE EVER. AMAZING. Thank you.?❤️“
“One of my favorite restaurants in the South Suburbs for excellent Italian food. Always consistent and delicious with plenty of choices for everyone on the menu. The specials always peak my interest and Toni, my favorite server describes them perfectly! Her description of the wines always has me trying out something perfect for my meal. I had read a previous bad review due to a television with Fox news on the TV! I do not go there for the television and LOVE the atmosphere, EXCELLENT food and great service! Love this place and I will keep going back..“
“Nothing beats an "old neighborhood" Italian restaurant and Bruna's is the gold standard. Bruna, himself, is there to work the room and make wine recommendations. On our recent visit, he recommended Brunello del Montalchino 2017 that was a perfect fit for our pasta, lamb shops, and sausage. Sublime.“
“Not only is their pizza delicious and on point but it is the best pizza in Clearing that actually cares about the neighborhood! I will always support them. You don’t find genuine owners that give back to their neighborhood! They just showed me an act of kindness that will forever keep my loyalty to them. Happy 4 years!!!“
“I love this place! They do happy hour on Fridays from 3-7 and drinks are half off. The atmosphere and music is great and there's no drama, all adults. The star of the show is the pizza though, omg it's so good.Parking: On Fridays the parking will be very difficult after 4 due to happy hour“
“LoveLove love it!Whole family enjoy it.Grandma like it! OkSo.We love the original taste!I fully recommend this place.Service is great! The food came out just in time for all to enjoy.Dietary restrictions: Ask the Chef.Kid-friendliness: Got chair's.“
“Even though we had a reservation we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. It didn't help that 2 couples walked in and went to the bar in order to "jump" the line and 1 couple ended up being seated, that was unfair. It did also take the waitress a while to take our order. If it were not for my date and the fact that this was important to him and that I absolutely love Italian food, I would have opted to leave the restaurant. But we ended up staying and I had my first glass of wine ? ever and it turned out okay.“
“Food was hot and delicious and arrived on time. Order was correct. Delivery driver followed instructions.Vegetarian options: You can get pizza with or without vegetable toppings, fries, fried zucchini, garlic bread, salad, mozzarella sticks, spaghetti“
“Second time to this Italian restaurant, and right after they received a Bib Gourmand from Michelin! It is well deserved! I had them mix it up for me and ask them to make me their homemade black squid ink spaghetti with pesto and shrimp! Amazing food!!! My partner ordered the risotto and it was also delicious! Great location walking distance to Court theater; so park once and dine and enjoy theater! Friendly service but they tend to be busy so definitely some bustle and noise in the atmosphere. I made reservations and would recommend them. Looking forward to our return.“
“Really good, cheap. Burgers used to be really good. Last couple of times I ordered the double burger the meat was really dry. I’m not sure what’s going on with that but the Italian beef and the fries are really good for a great price. ?“
“I went with my family today for the first time. My family really likes Italian food, and we noticed that this restaurant tastes like no other! We’ve tried new things and we really liked EVERYTHING. The people were friendly and the portions were very big. The desserts are delicious!“
“I was driving home and saw their white sign outside. Decided to stop and try it out. I ordered the Spicy Italian sub and a Breaded Steak sandwich. They were delicious! So good that I couldn’t stop to take a picture. I’ve passed by this place for years and never stopped to look. That changed today. I will be going back pretty soon and often.“
“The two slices & soda deal for $7 is perfect, its filling & actually tastes good . There’s not many places anymore that offer good food for a cheap price but that deal is definitely good quality pizza for a cheap budget . One slice is pretty filling on its own, the dough is really thick so it can definitely feed two people if you need it to . 2 slices for one person tho & trust me, you’re full for hours . Amazing deal, great quality pizza slices, I will definitely be ordering more often .“
“Old school Italian restaurant which is still serving great food. Everything was really good and we enjoyed our dinner. The chicken Parmesan was excellent. Great size portion. The Chianti was good and a generous pour. You should try it if you are in the area or make a special trip. It is worth it.“
“I didn't mean to wait so long to review! We were at a trade show for a week. So impressed by the first night, we stopped here everyday after the show on way to hotel.Superb dining experience. Most excellent waiter named Ernesto! We will be back everytime we're in Chicago. The food, atmosphere, staff - can't say enough good things!“
“Came in an hour before close and was still welcomed by friendly staff. The atmosphere was amazing as well as the food. The best part that made our day was the best server I have seen in my life" ROCKY" her attitude and energy was so awesome as she totally made the whole experience on that day for us. Thanks Olive Garden and staff. Rocky needs a bonus tho. Can't just feel that kinda love at any place to sit and eat but you can here. Go check for yourself. This place gotcha. ?“
“First time me and my daughter at Chicago, we definitely needed to try Giordano’s famous deep dish pizza, and the recommendations are true; Best pizza in town. We had a small Chicago classic. This will be my to-go spot for pizza each time I come.“
“JOE'S-A TRUE MOM+POP RESTAURANT! I am a purist when it comes to pizza. Cracker thin crust w/ mild homemade sauce + Italian sausage, top it w/ith a generous heap of mozzarella cheese, then cook it well done in an old school pizza oven. Walla - I present to you the most delicious thin crust pizza you will ever taste. Joe's Villa offers other fare but their pizza is my go to. And a large 14" pizza is under $20. If Reenie is your server, tell her Youraverage Gourmet says hello!“
“Went Saturday night for pizza. It's was amazing. The dough was homemade. Paper thin crust that is their specialty. The sauce is homemade. The cheese is rich. The place is run by a nice,hard-working Italian couple.Had a cold MillerLite. Doesn't get much better than this. PS The chicken parm is outstanding.“
“I have been going there for 30 years everything I have tried over the years has been great! The pizza sauce is sweet so it's not for everyone but I highly recommend it.Frank the owner is one of the nicest down to earth guys you will ever meet. The atmosphere is old school but comfortable.“
“Our favorite neighborhood “joint” for excellent Italian cuisine. First time trying the chop salad and was not disappointed, but if you are not a fan of olives, tell them to hold off. The only issue is it gets loud and you sometimes have to speak loud to be heard at your table. Otherwise enjoy!! Oh and by the way if you are hungry, order the chicken Parmesan - HUGE portion.“
“We came here for the first time tonight, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was beyond delicious, the owners are really friendly, nice people. We will definitely be back.I'm happy to see a nice family owned restaurant in this area that cares about customer service. Thank you!“
“I made a reservation and met some friends for pizza last night. Our friend decided to try the eggplant Parmesan instead and he said he enjoyed it. We were disappointed when we tried to order the thin deep dish pizza. Although it was only 6pm the waitstaff said that they were out of pizza dough and it was not available. It was what we had planned to order. Instead we ordered a thin pizza which was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. The deep dish pizza we ordered we all enjoyed. The noise level was deafening. Everyone had a hard time hearing each other. Is there any place in the restaurant that is quieter? Could something be done to dampen the sound problem? Some restaurants have ceiling tiles or even items on the walls that break up the sound. Or even rug runners might help absorb some sound. The wait staff was attentive although we kept trying to flag down the person to refill our water with little success. It's fun to go there because often times other people you know will come up to say Hi also and that happened again last night. Most people enjoy their Italian food and we've ordered that in prior visits and everyone enjoyed their meals. They have an extensive beer and wine list. I enjoyed my Revolution beer immensely.“
“We booked the Calabria food truck to cater my brother’s engagement party with 80 guests and everything was perfect! We served three different sandwiches plus the homemade chips. The food was delicious. Many of our guests have told us they’ve visited Calabria since the party because they needed to have their sandwiches again! The truck brought a great ambiance to the party too - they played music, had nice lighting, and had a large chalkboard sign with a congrats message to the couple. Julia on the Calabria team was great to work with and answered all of our questions. The on-site team was attentive and had wonderful service. All around an amazing experience!“
“Very nice vibe - classic Italian restaurant decor. Some of their dishes taste really good; fried calamari and eggplant parmesan cheese - their complimentary bread was so yummy. Shrimp Fra Diavlo was below my expectation. The service needs to be improved; to be more friendly.“
“The food is delicious and there's a lot of it for the price, I have several favorite dishes and the staff always stays busy being friendly and never forgetting to ask if your good. Its "a place" for me and my wife to go to when we know we're going to have a great meal.“
“I always order pinky’s for work for 40 people. Never been inside so I can’t speak for service and atmosphere but the sandwiches and wraps are delicious and ver reasonably priced. So many to name but Chicken Vesuvio, Chicken Caesar, pot roast are some of my favs!“
“Great home made Mexican food and pizza also, got calzone that think was so big feed it 3 people, tacos also fresh and delicious, service outstanding, every time we get there we get something new from owner to try it,just great friendly place with great food !!!!!!!!“
“This is my favorite Gym Show Sandwich. I take my son out here for the 35 mile trip a few times a year for this delicious pilgrimage. Be sure to add mild sauce, it just complete the gluttony just right. Might as well get a tasty pizza puff too while yr here.“
“The pizza is really good! Moving forward I will not order anything else from here. Their mozzarella cheese is not good in their appetizers or the god mother sandwich. The sandwich felt like it was just a chicken tender in the bread with the mozzarella cheese.“
“I have been coming to Palermo's for 30 years. The food is always good. Large portion sizes. I had my wedding reception there and would recommend it to anyone. The Sicilian Style Grill Shrimp is the best dish. It has a unique flavor.“
“I dined in. The food was good and hot. The booths aren't too comfortable for the big boys, but that's motivation for me to shed some lbs.Parking: Large lot, easy to get into and pull out of.Wheelchair accessibility: Doors are wide and the curve is slanted...“
“I just got off the phone with Migele from the Evergreen Park store and had some issues with my order. I'm severely handicapped and asked for curbside pickup, and also a change to the order. Migele was very accommodating and did a great professional job. And my sister said that the pizza was very good. Thanks again Miguel ?“
