“We had drinks in The Aldermen portion. The drinks were incredible. Best gin and tonic I’ve ever had. Lance was running the show that night. We told him what we liked, and he nailed it. I would seriously put Lance as one of the best bartenders in the world. Yes, we will be back. Sad thing is, when I go other places, they won’t compare. The Pilsen Yards space looked fun, and did have great outdoor space. Another one of Chicago’s great neighborhoods to explore.“
“I've eaten here so many times since 2010 when my brother moved to the area and it never disappoints! It was a lucky find as he was getting to know his new neighborhood and thank God he shared it with us. We've eaten in, gotten take out, but no matter which one we choose they always give great service. I've tried brain tacos from them (that surprisingly taste kind of like eggs), but our favorite is to order multiple pounds of the carnitas. It's SO good!! They give you fresh made tortillas, cilantro, onion, lime, and pico. Sometimes in the summer they have people right out front with different flavored Agua Frescas. If you're going to do carnitas be warned they do sell out, so try to get there early if you can. (Sorry my pictures aren't great this time)“
“The service was outstanding. Right when we walked in the host and bartender welcomed us. The dining room is one half of the space and the other half is the bar and high top tables. Cocktails were balanced and delicious. The food was outstanding. Quality ingredients thoughtfully prepared.“
“Friday morning. 11AM. Everyone knows good carnitas are found on Friday to Sunday. We'll this place did it right.$11.99 a pound of flavorful, tender, and hearty carnitas. I was helped by a nice elderly pair at a quick service counter, and it was quick. This is a little hidden gem for sure!I'll be going back on a random weekday to see if it's as good on a weekend.“
“Was recommended to us and didn't disappoint our first time and everything was very good. The coffee was was hot the service was great and the food was delicious. The bonus was that the tortillas were handmade both flour and corn and they were delicious. Would definitely recommend this place to eat we will certainly be going back.Parking: All street parking“
“I haven't had food with such sabor (flavor) in so long that wasn't cooked at home. Not salty at all. Great service. I'm definitely going back. Ordered the yuca rellenas, papa rellenas, Pollo encebollado, and the lechon. We were surprised with toasted French bread with homemade guava butter!!!!!“
“Honestly 100/10 , this place is GORGEOUS and the vibe was incredible. Went with my family, a spot my mom has been wanting to go to. We went super unexpected on the experience. Service was great! Every single member of the staff was super attentive and polite. Food was quick and fresh, drinks were strong and amazing presentation. Loved loved loved, we had a time! Mariachi arrived a little after and also were amazing! Highly, highly recommend this place. It was awesome!“
“I was on Instagram and saw two different reviews for Garifuna Flava! One review was from Shanikkyeats and the other from CousinVinnie. Let me tell you, my husband and I wasn't disappointed! He ordered the Jerk Catfish dinner w/ the rice&beans, cabbage and plantains. I ordered the Half Jerk Chicken dinner w/ cabbage, mac & cheese, and potato salad. We also order the taste of Belize sample platter. Everything was delicious! Every dish had it's own unique flavor. The meals were generously proportioned that we were able to eat the rest later in the evening. I truly recommend that you try this restaurant asap! I give it a 10 out of 10....“
“Had a great brunch at Azul 18! There were lots of outdoor seating options but we opted for indoor. It was nice and bright with good music. We tried the life juice and arnold palmer. The life juice was soooo good I should've gotten a large! The arnold palmer wasn't bad just not what was expected. For food we got the smoked salmon benedict and the 8oz new york strip steak. I loved the smoked salmon benedict! One egg was significantly more runny which unsettled me a little but the flavors overall were great. The steak and eggs were really good as well. The eggs were seasoned perfectly but the steak wasn't cooked to order and was inconsistent. We had two waiters, both very nice. We later learned there was some miscommunication about where the servers were sectioned which is why we had 2. Because of this I give them grace for not checking in on us until after we were done eating. The prices were also decent and our bill was cheaper than expected. We will definitely return and I look forward to trying another benedict!“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jardin Restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Their crafted cocktails were a highlight for me, perfectly complementing the vibrant atmosphere of the place. Whether you're looking to enjoy a meal with family or have a few drinks with friends, this restaurant has got you covered. I particularly enjoyed their Sunday brunch, where they offer themed brunches that add an extra layer of fun to the experience. With daily weekday specials on offer, I've definitely found my new hangout spot. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal in a lively setting!“
“I was very excited to try this spot as I'm Mexican and my boyfriend is Colombian. We were very happy with the food and have returned twice already. One of the better spots for authentic Colombian food, the calentado, arepas, and buñuelos were all great! Only thing we didn't love were the empanadas but we may have gotten those at an off time as it was nearing the end of the day when we got them. As for the Mexican food the tlacoyos are very good. Service is quick and staff are all friendly. Many baked goods to choose from as well. Would definitely suggest this to anyone who likes trying out unique fusion spots or just anyone who's interested in trying Colombian food!“
“For months I had been trying to find a place with a different style of Mexican seafood (There's regions in Mexico with different styles of seafood cooking, such as Nayarit, Acapulco, Veracruz) since they are a lot of places which do have Nayarit style of seafood, it's Always nice to find a place that would do seafood like authentic Acapulco style, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that at the beginning of dinner they would do a nice Fideo or noodle soup in a cup and have to say that was pretty darn good! After my significant other ordered the chicken (must mention they are not exclusively a seafood restaurant, like many others do, they have nice beef, chicken choices if you're not into seafood that much) And I had the shrimp cocktail and was Sooooo Goooood! With plenty of crackers! . Thanks La Bahia de Acapulco for having good food! I widely recommend this place!“
“First time dining here and it was to-go. Man. The food was phenomenal. The rice and beans were so FRESH. Love that. The meat in my torta was so good and the way they cut the mean was legit. I dislike getting cubed carne asada. Salsa was also very tasty (green salsa).Horchata was also very good! Would try other drinks for sure next time.Speedy and pleasant service over the phone. I am definitely coming back!“
“Good food, good music, nice server, very pleased. Loved the hot sauce, 3 to choose from. Medium, to hot.Parking: There were 3-5 spaces available close, more of you want to walk a block. You will likely find parking here. It was 1pm when I arrived.Kid-friendliness: Neutral relaxing music. Take aren't jammed too close together. There's room for jittery children to swing their feet.Wheelchair accessibility: You could easily get a wheelchair to most of their tables“
“I had the Mexican Alfredo pasta and the birrira tacos. I didn't add chicken or steak to the pasta so it was just ok but those tacos??????? ??????. I liked the location too I would say the portions are smaller than what I'm used to.“
