“Don't let the name fool you, it's so much more than beer. Every dish has been excellent without exception (the chicken and waffles are my favorite), and the service has always been top notch. Because of this we always recommend visitors new to town try the Tap House, and many of them will come back to our shop the next day to thank us for the recommendation.“

“While my wife & I were shopping in Downtown Galena we decided to take a little break. Instead of coffee our normal break confection we decided to try Champagne on Main, (our 1st visit). Well it won't be our last. It was a Saturday early afternoon and we were warmly greeted by Laura the owner. She gave us a great table up front by the Bar & Sunny Front Window. The day was cold 32 degrees outside but inside Champagne on Main it was delightful. Laura was so excited about her place and gave us a bit of history on her old building. Drinks were perfect & prices not bad. We relaxed, (chilled) there for about an hour...then off for more shopping. Thank - You Galena for the great day.....and you to Laura!PS - Laura showed us her new El Fresco outside seating area out the back door...nice quiet garden like spot with a tall wood fence that seats about 30 people. Going back for sure this upcoming Summer. Well Done Laura & staff!“

“The perfect spot in Galena for a drink! Plenty of live music and fantastic drink options. Sangria, martinis, sweet cocktails, boozy hot chocolate drinks, everything consumed was fantastic. Sitting at the bar is neat for interaction with the skilled staff, thank you Paula.“

“Margaritas, Margaritas, Margaritas!!!! My husband and I are from Joliet and let me tell you, this place has the best tasting Margaritas we have ever had. I had the Strawberry and my husband had the Mango (ok so we had more than 1, lol). Our entire experience was off the charts! From the good food, to the great service and of course the Margaritas! Please don’t believe the bad reviews, check this place out for yourself… I guarantee it won’t disappoint. We highly recommend this cantina and will be back later in the day to try the Flaming Margarita after our shopping is done. Tajin Mexican Restaurant and Cantina will be our go to every November we come to Galena to visit for our anniversary.“

“You will fall in love with Jamie immediately and Teddy is an absolute gem. We were in town for the Whisky Weekend and she served up some awesome selections for the tasting. Jimmy ran the tasting, he was informative and knowledgeable and no complaints about the pours. If you like gin, bourbon, rye, whisky, wine, craft beer, or champagne then see Jamie it's all there. I will visit Jamie and Teddy every time I'm in Galena.“

“My wife enjoyed the seafood special The salmon on the menu was not as good. The Poblano Purée was kind of spicy to go with salmon and the plantain thing was dry and not very tasty. Our server Chris was excellent as always. I wish there was more than one seafood dish on the menu.“

“Loved the feel of the bar! The bartenders were great! We were just there for the night, but they gave us great recommendations for dinner & breakfast. We ended up staying there all night. And cannot forget that they have shuffleboard!! I’m not sure when we’ll be back to galena, but when we are this is where we’ll be all night!“
