“We have a very picky eater. A few months ago she wanted to go out to eat and get French toast. With an internet search, I found the Buttermilk Cafe. Because she is usually a slow eater, I put her order in before the rest of us had made up our minds. She enjoyed her food so much, that she finished ALL of her food as we were getting ours. She's always asking to go back. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that a couple of weeks ago the baby had fallen asleep without eating breakfast. I wanted to have food in the car when he woke up. They wouldn't bring food to the car. :(“

“It was my first time visiting here and it was such a splendid experience! I went for lunch and the food was delicious. I got the salmon salad which came with candied pecans, carrots, and cranberries and a smoky blue cheese dressing! For $16 the plate was huge of salad and a decent sized salmon piece. The waitstaff were immediately kind. I would love to go back and try the quiche. I will be back again. Thanks for making us feel welcome for lunch!Vegetarian options: There are salad and soup varietiesDietary restrictions: There are salad and light options availableParking: Free 3 hour street side parking but when busy it is hard to find parkingKid-friendliness: I would not think that this would be a place for kids, this is an appropriate place for celebration dinners, wine nights, ladies evening night out and date nightsWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp outside“

“I had never been to Grecian Gardens before but I do know I am going back. They had a great back room for our private party. I loved my salad and prime rib. The staff did a good job of attending to our needs and allowing us some space to celebrate our occasion. Just be warned the parking is a little tight!“

“This is a cool local spot. Order anything Mac n Cheese related on the menu and you will not regret it. The nachos were great too. It's a nice atmosphere with a friendly wait staff. It is also quite lively, at least the two times we went there, which can be nice.“

Yummy ?!Wheelchair accessibility: I am using a knee scooter and was able to easily access the dining room through the back door.“

“Took a trip here a few months ago with some friends, had THE best time ever. Small town hospitality always feels good for a big city individual. Prices were PERFECT & the meal portions surpassed the price point. A good meal & time for a good dollar!“

“My recent visit was a journey of mixed experiences, but one thing stood out: the exceptional service. The atmosphere is undeniably intriguing, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The energy in the air adds to the overall ambiance, making it a place worth exploring. Our server was the true highlight of the evening. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, making the meal truly enjoyable. As for the food, while it didn't quite reach the heights of culinary excellence, it certainly had its moments. There were some dishes that impressed, though none left me speechless. One minor letdown was the cheese accompanying the pretzel. It arrived slightly colder than expected, and the texture was not quite up to par. However, this was a minor hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable meal.Surprisingly, the root beer stole the show. It was an unexpected delight, adding a refreshing twist to the dining experience. In summary, Obed & Isaac's offers a unique atmosphere, exceptional service, and food that, while not mind-blowing, still manages to satisfy. With a few tweaks, it could easily become a go-to spot for a memorable meal out.“

“Love the owners, staff and general customers! True hometown welcoming experience. Food is hot and fresh, like dad's homecooked burgers and fries that I grew up to love and made from scratch. They have fun specialty beers and your local favorites. Family friendly and have fun game nights that the locals hang out. The owners support all the other local small owned business as well! Safe town to visit and spend time with family.Kid-friendliness: babies to teenagers are always welcome and safe.“

“This may have been the best fried tenderloin I’ve ever had! Husband had a burger which was good also! The chips are waffle chips and very yummy! I got my fries well done and I usually don’t like thick fries but these were actually really good! Highly recommend. We got it to go which was good because it was very busy inside. I’m not sure how we’ve never tried this place before as my mom lives less than a half mile from here but we will definitely be back.“

“The Midway Duck Inn was my first of many trips ahead. Living in Lowpoint growing up, I had never been there before. Now that I'm back "home", friends came with us to try out the place. The food was very hot and good! They have a killer side salad that's out of this world and unlike most "side" salad we've had. It had diced onion, red and yellow sweet peppers, carrots, tomatoes and a slice of cucumber. They also had blue cheese crumbles if you wanted a little extra. We had the fish special, and it was good and very flavorful. I would highly recommend it on their Wednesday night special. Fast service and very thorough. Thank you Midway Duck Inn!“

“My wife was looking for a tea room in the Peoria area. In her search, the Emerald Tea Room came up. It was conveniently located in East Peoria near a few antique shops. It is open from 11 am to 2 pm Tuesday through Saturday. All of the food is made in house. The soups were excellent, great sandwiches, bread and desserts. It is family owned. The service was delightful.“

“I have eaten here many times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My favorites are anything on the breakfast menu, the onion rings, and liver and oinons. I never have enough room for dessert, but their list looks wonderful. Last night we stopped for dinner. I had liver and onions. For $10.25 I had a bowl of stuffed pepper soup, 2 slices of liver with grlled onions, fresh steamed broccoli, baked potato and a roll. Everything I ate was delicious. Wed nights is chicken night and Fridays is fish night. Try them out if you haven't. Great food and friendly service in a diner atmosphere. You can't ask for more than that in my book.“

“Fantastic food and a hard-working owner! Our first trip here for Easter Sunday brunch could have been a wash if we didn’t gather our patience and embrace the fact that any place as mobbed and behind as this just had to be great food. A fellow food lover in the line promised me it would be worth the wait and she was right. The issue was every owner’s nightmare—-staff calling out in a booked day. This owner kept a smile on his face even as he was clearly performing many jobs! Once our large party was seated, we enjoyed some of the best brisket, fried chicken, greens, and grits to be had in the area. Seasoned is the word, and to perfection. We loved the vibe of this busy spot, clearly a local fave, in addition to the great food. Doesn’t look fancy and isn’t pretentious despite cuisine worth bragging about. Can’t wait to go back for the regular menu and perhaps smaller non holiday crowd.“

“We absolutely love Kelleher's Irish Pub! We live about 40 min away so almost every time we come to Peoria we make sure to stop in for some amazing food. Their Irish Platter has the best combination of authentic tasting Irish food. .. my go to when I can't decide which meal to pick. I don't think we've ever made a bad or even an "ehh" choice tho. The staff is always friendly and inviting which makes the experience all the better! And... they know how to pour Guinness!“

“Had brunch today with my family of 5. First time visiting, as we live out of town. Everything was wonderful. It was very busy, which indicated a good sign for us as we walked in. We didn’t wait long to be seated, the food was great, and service as well. Will definitely come back if we are ever in the area again! I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich, which my server recommended when I asked her opinion between a few things and I’m so glad she did because it was one of the best I’ve ever had!Kid-friendliness: My children felt very comfortable in the atmosphere!“

“We were there on a super busy Monday. They were very polite and pretty quick to seat us. Our server had lots of tables but seemed to always be around when we needed her, which wasn't often. The pizza was really good and the kids burger looked to be fresh hand pattied. Try the rueben pizza, unbelievable ?. Can't wait to visit again.“
