“I see a lot of negative reviews about this location, but my children and I had such a wonderful experience recently that I had to share. I brought my children there for a special breakfast treat one morning and we were swiftly greeted and served by Beatriz. She was incredibly warm, kind, friendly, and patient as my little children, including a toddler, decided what they wanted to order. She interacted so sweetly with them, and even gave them extra treats. She made sure our orders were correct, double checking with the other person who made my coffee. She continued to show kindness and warmth for the rest of our visit and shared her enthusiasm about our return. I have to say this was the best interaction I have had at any DD ever, upstanding another favorite interaction at a DD (from a previous review of mine; I confess I have had many a DD visit in my life.) Beatriz is an absolute asset to your organization and I highly recommend and request that she be acknowledged for her professionalism and exceptional customer service, and be considered for leadership, promotion, and a raise as she deserves it. Beatriz, thank you for being the wonderful human being that you are. You are one of those unique individuals that has me reflecting on how this world would be a much better place if more people found joy in their jobs and in their interactions with others as you had in your encounter with me and my little family. ✨“

“I'm here like every day on my way home from the night shift. They are fast and always get my order right. Coffee is always fresh and people always pleasant. The only thing I wish they would do is put garbage cans out because people always throw trash all over the lawn since there are no cans. I mean if ya gotta pick up trash people leave, Maybe take the hint and put out trash cans.“

“Okay all you crazy cats and desperate dogs out there, about 10 years ago I came up with the following. I call it a small with cream and a pair of balls! It's pretty self-explanatory - when you go to Dunkin's and if you simply must have your donut fix why not order a pair of munchkins to be popped into your actual cup of coffee!? It's freaking delicious! And you can choose any kind of munchkin weather to be chocolate, honey dipped, old fashioned or what have you! The best way to do it is ask for a small with cream and then ask them to pop in a pair of munchkins of your choice before putting the cap on. Don't have them put the munchkins in first because the flow of the coffee and cream will break up the munchkin donuts prematurely. And by god, don't forget to ask them how much it's going to cost because if you purchase only too munchkins separately it's a freaking arm and a leg. It was about $6 later where I learned that if I bought 5 munchkins along with the small with cream it would have been like half price. Here's a thought, talk directly to the staff there if all you want are the two munchkins and tell them your plan I'm sure you're used car salesman finesse and Wall Street attitude can make it happen without having to fork over tons of money for this glorious culinary invention and delight! “This Baskins Robbins is the BEST ever. The store closed 5 minutes before we arrived. I explained to the workers that I had 10 ladies on my shuttle van and they wanted ice cream bad!!!!! The manager opened up and served the ladies.. What a wonderful gesture that was made by the employees. Thank you!“

“It’s no surprise that there is are all 5 star reviews. One of the best cakes I’ve had. I planned an office event in February highlighting black owned businesses and last minute found this bakery. I came towards the end of the day so the only thing available was a frozen cake. I was definitely skeptical but the cashier said it would taste just fine once let it sit out a bit. It was so moist, it was amazing. 10/10 that was a frozen cake so I can only imagine what the fresh cupcakes taste like.“

“We stopped in for a special treat. They had a good selection of donuts. The shop was decorated nicely and the man who was working there was inviting, helpful and nice. We decided on 6 donuts, Boston creams, pistachio, blueberry cheesecake, apple cider and bacon maple. We enjoyed them all! The prices are average for this type of shop and it does have a nice area to sit and eat if you want to do that. Overall, I recommend stopping in for a delicious donut. We will be going back whenever we are in Elmhurst again.“

“I went through the drive-thru to get a ?RAINBOW CONE? for my birthday. It was my first time ever, and I was not disappointed!!!There are several flavors of ice cream available by the pint or quart. They pack it FRESH. I bought a quart of the Lemon Raspberry Swirl and a quart of the Big Muddy for later. YUMMY!!! They even included cones wrapped in paper that could be used for sharing.The corner location at the traffic signal on Roosevelt Road makes for easy entering/exiting. Parking is plentiful.????My ?RAINBOW CONE? on the waffle cone was fantastic!!! My only difficulty was NOT trying every flavor. “I am sharing this review on behalf of my mom who experienced the best service, tastiest hamburgers and freshly baked Lemon Blueberry Scones. She and her friends play cards every Saturday, most times after playing they go out for dinner; they have tried the location in Itasca for breakfast before cards, but they wanted to check them out afterwards for a burger. They called ahead to see what time they were closing; the person who answered said they were getting ready to close but offered to stay open to make some burgers for them, they placed their order ahead of time so not to keep the staff stay open any longer, when they arrived the burgers were coming off the grill. She commented how the burger was just the right size (she is not a fan of thick burgers), her friend asks if they had any Lemon Blueberry Scones available; they did not but had some scones prepared for baking in the morning and decided to bake off some for them as well. My mom purchased three! I believe the one who serviced them was one of the partners, she invited them to come play large enough to seat the teams and decks of cards nicely. Service like this goes way above and beyond the norm these days, she said she was going to tell her friends about this experience and are plan on meeting there for breakfast before playing cards next week. In this day and time, it is nice to see others care for our seniors with care and respect. It will go a long way... So, if you have never tried Joe Donut in Itasca for their cake donuts, or breakfast or even the hamburgers for lunch - this reviewer would recommend you do so... you will not be disappointed; especially when it comes to their service.
