My husband ordered coctel de camarones, and it was very, very good. I will recommend ? everyone to come and try their delicious food. They have late hours. “This bar is a very nice GEM that has a great decor. The beers are ice cold and the drinks very refreshing. Taco Tuesdays are very tasty and the catfish dinner is Awesome. “We chose Theo’s to celebrate our Anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Our waiter was Arthur, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu, food preparation, and delightfully accommodating and personable. My medium rare filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and the baked potato, broccoli and carrots, and burgundy mushrooms were excellent accompaniments. My husband, who loves salmon but hesitates to order it out, was very happy with his choice of the Faroe Island salmon. After questioning Arthur about the method of preparation, my husband chose to have it grilled, which was a very good choice. You certainly won’t leave Theo’s hungry. We took a lot of food home. Overall, a positive two thumbs up experience!Parking: Theo’s has parking in the front, along the side, and it back of the restaurant. You’d have to call to find out if they have valet parking or available parking nearby.“
“First time and my service was excellent. I mentioned that I am gf and she sure to tell me what I could not have as I built my own poke bowl. “Hosted a small family and friends luncheon (31 people) with a set menu (Chicken Marsala). For five of the younger kids had the Kids Meal -- they loved the Kiddie Cocktails! We arrived 45 minutes early and the staff reacted toget things moving right away. Very accomodating! My wife and I will definitely go back for dinners and will also consider for future family events.Vegetarian options: Don't recall the details of the vegetarian offering but the vegetarian in the family was pleased.Kid-friendliness: Had the patience of Saints with accomodating the young ones!“

“Candace served us this evening. There was a large birthday party and they did an amazing job accommodating everybody. Food was beyond phenomenal, and Candace’s service was incredible. She was very thorough with our orders and ensured our drinks were refilled before we reached the bottom. We will be back.“

However , trying to get served inside dining is another story .I know that they have a lot of pick up orders to handle , but are too short handed to take orders from their inside customers . They should have someone dedicated to inside dining and cleaning vacant tables . Jay“
“It was a little after 9:00pm on a Saturday, when I spotted this J & J Restaurant. I went inside to place my order and was immediately impressed by its cleanliness. The floor, tables/seats, counters and the food preparation area...all very clean.The young woman that took my order was friendly and courteous. There was only one person ahead of me, however, some people had phoned in their orders, so there was a waiting period. I didn't mind because the time went so quickly. Also, unlike other J & J's, this one has a drive-thru.I ordered 3 dinners to go; a small jack salmon, a small ocean perch and a 6 pc. chicken wing dinner. Extras included an order of fried okra, hush puppies and a corn on the cob (a full size ear). Each dinner included:French fries, a very small cup of coleslaw and 2 slices of white bread in addition to the mild and hot sauce they provide.The fish was fried to perfection, light and crispy, not greasy. The chicken was also fried to perfection, crispy and not hard or greasy. All the side dishes were well prepared. Since none of us eats coleslaw or white bread, I can't speak about them.As for being different, in addition to its drive-thru, this J & J offers a variety of foods that I've never seen offered in any of the others; tacos, spaghetti, and a selection of salads, just to name a few.“

“This was my first time at the Munster El Salto Location, & I was very impressed! From first pulling in the parking lot, I saw that it was a popular spot to dine on a Saturday night! ? The staff was so friendly and nice, & they seated us quickly. The decor in the restaurant was unique & inviting. The crowd was so diverse; all races and ages were out having a good time. We ordered frozen margaritas, queso fundido for the appetizer, & fajitas for our entrées. Everything was delicious, & I left with plenty of leftovers for the next day ? “Tried the jerk barbecue rib tips. I wasn't terribly fond of them but then I remembered they were JERK so I settled into the flavor. Next visit I tried the beef short ribs and they were very good with the sweet potatoes and the greens both also good. Last visit I tried the oxtails. They were incredible and I look forward to getting them again. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. However, this time the greens were extremely bland, but that won't stop me from going back.“

Reservations are essential -- we called ahead and were able to get in short notice on a Wednesday night, but they are very popular & advanced booking is always recommended. Service was impeccable, and all of the food was fresh, delicious and served in enormous portions! Shout out to Tiffany, our outstanding server. Martinis with stuffed bleu cheese or anchovy stuffed olives were gorgeous! This place rightly has a stellar local reputation for quality, and we were not disappointed at all! Highly recommend!“

“Livio's is the charming neighborhood restaurant we need. My husband and I have always had enjoyable experiences with the very sweet waitresses and we always have a filling and affordable meal. The ambiance is "old school", and I think that's what makes it feel a little special when we go there for date night. His favorite is the special steak with the dipping butter, (even though he's a porterhouse guy, this steak is his go-to at Livios), and the dish I can't get enough of is the mushroom ravioli. Bread and salad to start with a generous meal has always left us pleased. Whether you're sitting on the bar side or in the dimly lit dining room, you'll be comfortable and probably have a great time!“

A homeless man came in and instead of them just throwing him out or being disrespectful they fed him. Baby I had to leave before I got emotional. “I ordered a John's sausage pizza for pick up. The pizza was ready for me when I arrived. John's offers a unique pizza cut. The sausage was crumbly, spicy and generously topped on the pizza. The pizza crust was amazing.I grew up on John's pizza when I lived in the Calumet region. My family usually visited other locations....Hammond and Calumet City. It's probably been 15 years since I last had John's. I picked up the pizza pictured and it was the same quality as the pizza I grew up on. Munster's John's did not dissappoint. I would recommend John's to family and friends. I'll visit this location again the next time I'm in town. John's is a gem in the Calumet Region.“

“Decided to stop in for lunch, usually Pepe's is the go to, but wanted to try something new. Food was unbelievable and the margarita was probably one of the best I've ever had. We sat at the bar and the server was very attentive. Bill was about the same as what it would have been at Pepe's but the portions sizes were way bigger. Looking forward to going back.“

It's a shrimp spot but they have some interesting things on their menu. I picked the Diablo burger and he asked how I want it cooked (medium well, please)..and it was good! “Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The food is authentic Mexican cuisine and tonight they had karaoke. The singers sang some real classic tunes and provided great entertainment for the guests. Special Drinks are humongous and they start you off with chips and salsa.“

This may sound funny but seriously, the food was so good and although I don't live in Illinois but every time I come to visit I will come to this place. I love the chicken Alfredo. Thank you to the staff and the owner that happened to be there at the time for the hospitality and for such great service. The prices are reasonable and that's shocking because the food is too good for the prices that they are. I think they should be more but I'm grateful for where they are. I recommend this place. “Let’s start with the food it has to be probably the most perfectly cooked clean food. I have to also give some props for the customer service, there’s always a sweet young man working in the front that never fails to assist in any way. Atmosphere is inevitable to not be the best as in a 5 star restaurant although for chicken and fish and chicken shop it has to be by far the finest I’ve walked into. For everyone whose has the cravings or interest for any delicious fried food I’d highly recommend.!“

Most people just park and go in, place order (large selection on overhead board), pay cash ( ATM machine available since they only take cash)wait approximately 10 minutes get your order. Several choices of cocktail sauces. Sodas also available. We always order the 1lb of jumbo shrimp!! It's the best I've had! Light breading, very large, cooked to perfect Do it every time, very consistent! Although there's always a steady stream people constantly walking in, they're very fast and always pleasant. My trips average 10 mins every time!“

“Food is always on point. I come here for mainly for the wings and the catfish, but they've got some good Philly steaks as well. It seems to be new owners that run the place now, the old owners had a problem serving fresh food. The new owners are doing a great job though. Have yet to run into any problems. Only issue is they don't open at 10 sometimes, they open at around 11 usually. All in all great food and service.“

“The service is top notch and down to earth. The cheese they use is grade A! I've had the deep dish before but wasn't a fan, only because it's too sweet of a sauce for my taste. However I recently tried the thin crust and it worked very well under the cheese with the sausage, bell pepper, onions and mushrooms. Seems like they saute the bell peppers and they are long pieces not diced. It's costly pie but we did get the 18 inch with 4 toppings, which came to $40. But all costs are rising. I would definitely come back to get a personal pizza for myself! I will have them brown the cheese next time. Definitely worth a try. I enjoyed the antipasto salad, just wish they chopped the meat and cheese instead of long slices that were still partially connected. I had to re-cut it which I didn't particularly mind doing but prefer it done for me if I'm paying for it.“
