“Possibly the best sushi in Madison County. Always fresh. The rainbow roll is awesome if you really enjoy the fish part of sushi, I believe 3 different kinds of fish on the outside of the roll drizzled with a sauce. They have a chicken teriyaki roll for those that hate fish but don't want to be left out.“
“Excellent dinner. Easy to make reservation. Service was excellent, friendly and prompt, great flow/ timing of presenting food. The food itself was excellent! My only wish is that hot sake was an option.Dietary restrictions: Did very well with gluten and dairy free options. Staff was knowledgeable on allergies and appropriate menu items.“
“Excited to have a solid poké restaurant in downtown Maplewood now! I stopped in with a friend earlier this week and was happy to see this location has more seating available than the location on Vandeventer. The neon signs and decor definitely give it a modern vibe. The menus is limited to 10 options but you can get them in a Burrito, Bowl, Salad, or Nachos. I asked the server at the counter what the most popular pick was and she said "Tiger Style". So I ordered the regular size Tiger Style Bowl. She said it's called Tiger Styled because they drizzle both the OG Fire and Unagi sauce on top of the bowl. You have the option to modify your meal as they are building it which is nice if you want to add more protein, veggies, etc. She asked if I wanted jalapeños, I said "I'll pass" but ended up with them on my bowl anyway :/ not a big deal though, I just picked them off. Prices are to be expected- $15.95 for a regular Tiger Style or $18.95 for large. The regular was plenty for me though.“
“I've lived in Saint Louis for about a year and a half and am moving this week. I've been to iNDO 3 times since moving here. It is probably my favorite restaurant of all time. I came as a final goodbye tonight and it was so bittersweet! I can't believe this place isn't rated higher on Google. Absurd. The food has layers of flavor, is interesting, fresh, and always so well done. Dishes are clearly so well thought out, with visual, textural, and flavorful elements that just scratch an itch in your brain. The quality of the sashimi is superior. I sometimes forget we're in Saint Louis because man, that is some good fish. The service also never misses, with knowledgable staff and perfect coursing of dishes. Thank you to everyone working there for giving me such fond memories!!“
“Went to Koibito Poke STL tonight before heading out to see Christmas lights. Koibito means “lover”. Who doesn’t love fresh food, great atmosphere, and a great place to hang with friends or family. New location to grab some poke. Stop by and check them out. Located close to the Trader Joe's off Manchester; next door to Johnson Fitness.“
“Absolutely amazing food! I've tried about 12 rolls so far, the seaweed salad, and orange chicken. My partner and I can't get enough of this place! This is one of the best places to eat around Grand and Gravois. I love being able to order online and bring it home!“
“The first time I went here must have been 10 years ago.I came with my friends and saw godzilla on the wall; that's been painted over with a different mural, but it was so cool. The Chef came out and introduced himself, I think he said he was the owner. Really a cool guy and I can tell there's passion and skill put into the food. Someone loves this place, and that's why it's amazing. The ramen eggs- perfect every time.Pork belly- melts in your mouth. All the Sake in house is delightful. The noodles are tender.I'm not even overselling it, I regularly drive the nearly 3 hours to st louis for this, twice a year. It's almost that time and my mouth is watering about it.The parking lot isn't in the best shape and it's easy to miss the turn if you're going too fast. The directions to get there from the IL Bridge are really straight forward, though.Parking: Free parking lot but easy to miss the turn into it.“
“Let me tell you what. Everything, and I mean everything, about our experience here was DELIGHTFUL. Called ahead on a Saturday night and got a table reserved last minute. The service was SO FRIENDLY. Our waitress was a literal angel on this earth. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! Sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had — such freshness and so high quality. I’m so sad I don’t live in the area because I’d go here so often they’d be trying to get rid of me. Truly exceptional.“
“Good food for a reasonable price. Had dinner here on a Friday night. It was quite busy and seemed to be a bit understaffed but they were attentive. The main reason the service is four stars rather than five is because the wrong food was delivered to our table, and the person who dropped it off did not know what it was so we couldn’t verify whether it was ours or not until a server walked past several minutes later.“
“In my opinion, Sushi AI makes some of the best Japanese food in STL. And while I enjoyed eating there in-person, I've mostly ordered online, but I've been very impressed with that alone. They get your order ready super fast, but don't get it twisted, they still don't sacrifice quality! They also have the best packaging compared to other Japanese places. Most places usually put it in a styrofoam takeout box, but Sushi AI uses a plastic container that actually seals, meaning the sauce doesn't splash all over the place!!! I've noticed that there's a lot of Japanese places in STL that are inconsistent with the quality of their food, particularly their chicken teriyaki. Sushi AI ALWAYS has amazing chicken teriyaki, and the presentation in-person is beautiful. Everybody I've introduced to this restaurant LOVES it. The service is amazing, they seat you very fast and they're just generally very kind and upbeat. The waitress was very friendly and ended up convincing my dad to try a sake bomb since he'd never heard of one. She showed us how to do it and the entire table ended up having a blast!“
“I’m a vegetarian, so I just ordered the fried rice. It was exceptionally good rice — and the guy gave me TOO MUCH of it (which I guess is a good thing to some people).I’d definitely go back for the fried rice, which is awesome with the teriyaki sauce.“
“Everything you need from a sushi bar, you can get at Kampai. Sushi roll served on fire? They have it. Can't decide and want the chef to surprise you with a meal? They'll do it. Don't know which sake or soju you like? They have flights. The wait staff were so courteous and attentive. The entire restaurant was clean and has a lot of natural lighting. We had several types of sushi rolls, green tea mochi ice cream, and sake flights. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully.“
“The service is amazing, we got all of our food so quickly! Appetizers came out not even 5 minutes after the order was placed and main course came soon after! Food tastes amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for dinner! Highly recommend if you’re in town!“
“We have been blown away by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever eaten at, and the quality rivals or surpasses the quality of Drunken Fish or Shogun. The sushi is delicious. The hibachi is delicious. It is great to see the old building they're located in getting used well.“
