“Visited just following lunch at around 1:30 ish PM. Very few people dining in (two). I ordered an edamame appetizer and the menu item SASHIMI WITH A KICK (special “kick” spicy sauce). All items suited me. My only drawback to the experience was that the sashimi (two pieces) were really well refrigerated and affected my sensitive teeth. I will eat here again because I do follow MUNSOK SO.“
“My girlfriend and I were really craving sushi, but our usual place was closed on Mondays. We thought about Top Sushi since we passed by it all the time and never went and said, "Let's try it out."We were stunned by how delicious it was! We got 3 rolls and some spring rolls. Highly recommend the Crab Rangoon Roll! The gentleman who greeted us was very welcoming and couldn't have been nicer. The inside was very quaint and cozy. Simple seating and some music to enjoy while you eat.We will absolutely visit here again!“
“I do not use the word presentation when describing food....but...it was presented very well. Plus!!! It was delicious.I had the Beef Rice bowl and my wife had the Chicken Katsu. They also have some of the best Crab Rangoon I have eaten. It is worth a stop if you are driving through St. Charles.“
“I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried from here. Super fresh, flavorful sushi. The chef really knows his stuff and can always recommend something great if you want to try something new. Also love the different drinks/sodas/sparkling waters they have. I try a new one every time I go. Over all great sushi, great staff and service, and great prices. You can't go wrong!“
“Love this spot for a quick bite. I always get the crispy hei hei bowl. It’s is a must try in my opinion! The crew that works there is always really friendly and efficient! The dining space is a little small, only a few spots for a small group of people, I usually just take my order to go.“
“Small but deliciously mighty sushi restaurant in a strip mall. Many of the typical rolls, but well prepared and yummy. Not a raw sushi fan myself, but noted a happily sated face on others ordering the raw. Service is attentive and polite with lively banter between servers and kitchen. Extensive menu. Enjoyable dining experience.“
“I’m a notoriously picky eater and I don’t exit my culinary comfort zone very often. This meal was worth it from start to finish. It’s a quaint and relaxed atmosphere, with personable and phenomenal service. The four course dinner is more like 7 courses, and they space it out incredibly well. The staff was talkative and engaging without being intrusive. The flavor profile was incredible. I really can’t articulate how tremendously sublime any of the nigiri or sashimi was. This place gave me a “Ratatouille” flashback to other dishes that I’ve savored when I had the soup. It was that good“
“Tonight was our first visit to the Hangar. We loved it! From the friendly waitress, Meg, to our delicious food, everything was perfect. The Dirty Caesar salad with grilled chicken was incredible! The salad dressing was the best I’ve ever tasted. And the cloned Famous and Barr French Onion soup brought back great memories of this tasty soup from back in the day when I looked forward to lunching at Famous with my mother after a long day of Christmas shopping. We will definitely be back to the Hangar!“
“I’ve gone here a handful of times now, and every time I’m glad I did. It’s a quiet restaurant in an unassuming location, and a great place to visit with loved ones. Good layout, but in my experience their focus is on the food. I get salmon sushi, the cuts are fantastic. Whether you dine in or take out, the food comes pretty quickly too. Every time I’ve been there I see incredibly hardworking staff, and they’re very nice.“
“Appreciate the proximity of the restaurant to where we reside. Makes for the place we can bring our guests for dinner especially when the request is sushi and other Japanese food options. Amazing service and ambience. Most recently I ordered the salmon teriyaki dinner, hot green tea to drink, and our table ordered several sushi rolls.“
“Great sushi spot for the value-minded patron. In my opinion there isn't a better sushi value in the Saint Louis area than Sushi Ai and the Saint Charles location is my favorite. Three value is decent for dinner, but it is excellent for lunch.“
“Came on a Sunday afternoon. Felt guilty bringing a chef out to hibachi when we were the only 2 in hibachi area, but they were very accommodating. The chef, Ajar, was very upbeat and entertaining - that's what hibachi is about. Each hibachi meal comes with a bonus of 2 shrimp - nice touch. They also gave us noodles in addition to fried rice. Huge portions, we split a meal and could not finish it. Waitress was on lunch break but still insisted on helping us. Great service!“
“Teddy Bear Tea in the Lobby Lounge at The Ritz Carlton is my favorite holiday tradition! The lobby is decorated so beautifully for the holidays. Each guest is served either a pot of holiday tea or hot chocolate. The food is a traditional high tea menu. We had curry chicken salad, ham & cornichon pate, cucumber sandwiches, traditional egg salad and smoked salmon rosette. We also had scones with lemon curd and an abundance of desserts. Everything was absolutely exquisite and the service was everything you would expect from the Ritz Carlton!“
“Clarissa & Lauren always go above & beyond to elevate the customer experience. A great meal every time & they are expanding their wine lists, would highly recommend!!Parking: Parking has never been a problem if we get there before 6 pm.“
“If you’re looking for a lot of grocery store quality sushi for a good price and great vibe this is your spot. The fish wasn’t the best , the rice fell apart, but the drinks were strong and the portions were great for the price.Service was exceptional and they all look like they’re having fun and treated well! Check this spot out and come hungry!“
“Went to the Ritz last night for their New Years Celebration. My shoe strap broke when walking in and I didn’t know what to do. But the staff there saved the day. I’ve never experienced such amazing hospitality. They saw me struggling and came to my rescue. Shoutout to Kenna for helping me. She not only offered a solution, but she sat on the floor and took 10 minutes to fix my shoe herself. All of the staff are so amazing and kind. My shoe stayed on all night and I was able to fully enjoy their amazing party. Thank you guys again ❤️“
“Great tasting and great price. My buddy ate 5 rolls on the "All you can eat menu". Not sure how he did it, but he did. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they used way too much cream cheese in their rolls. Over powers the fish and other ingredients. I will be back for sure.“
“We love supporting small local business. I realized I haven't written about Ichiban- my favorite sushi restaurant in St. Louis. We have been customers here for about 5 years or so. We came here at least once a week. We usually ordered to go during the weekdays and dined in on the weekends. The owners treat and talk to us like family. Our go to orders are hamachi sashimi, spicy crazy roll, hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar), spider rolls and eel avocado rolls. Last night, I was in a mood for grilled fish so I ordered saba shioyaki combo. It came with ginger house salad, and miso soup. I absolutely loved the ginger dressing here - the owner made it herself. The restaurant is quite spacious, and clean. Highly recommend.“
“Local spot for just Asian food. Sounds generic to call it generic, but this place has the biggest menu I have ever seen at an Asian restaurant. There is so many Sushi options - rolls, sashimi, a decent Thai menu, Chinese cuisine options, traditional Japanese cuisine items and more! And, if that isn't enough, there were three boards on the wall with another ~20 options AND a flip board on the table with at least that many more! Honestly, it was bit overwhelming, but not in a bad way. Service was very efficient and almost overly attentive. Super quick service and food delivery. I went with the all-you-can-eat lunch for $15 - miso soup (3.75/5): pretty decent. Traditional. - Thai spring rolls (3.75/5): serving of 3. Seemed freshly made vs frozen. Lots of cabbage. Decent. - tempura shrimp roll: (4.25/5) really good. I would order this again. - yellowtail spicy roll: (3.25/5) Ok. Not spicy. Texture of the fish knocked it back for me. It was kind of a smashed fish vs a filet. Maybe this is traditional...? Anyhow, not my favorite roll. I would come back again.“
“This evening was my first time trying Thai Nivas and I will absolutely be back! They have a very big menu. My fiancé and I both enjoyed our meal - we definitely recommend any of the curry. They had 1 server for the whole floor while hosting numerous big groups (including a party of 20+), and still made sure we got our food as efficiently as the kitchen could produce our order.“
“I had a pleasant experience at this establishment. It offers a nice variety of options at decent prices, making it an attractive choice for diners. The staff members were friendly, Additionally, the convenience of having a parking lot right next to the restaurant makes it easy for quick pickups; the interior seemed inviting and well-maintained. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy good food and friendly service, whether you're dining in or picking up.“
“Very good sushi place in Clayton! Our server was cool and super informative because their menu is detailed.Cocktails are yummy as is the sake! Stuffed jalapenos were good and not too spicy. As for sushi do NOT get the dragon's breath! The smokey, burnt vodka flavour was too much and too weird. Cool to have it on fire tho ?Mr Kim and the Cardinals rolls were great as well as the Nigiri. Overall good experience!“
“Oishi Sushi was overall a great experience! The service was fast and very attentive. The sushi was excellent and the restaurant is clean! I came for dinner on a weekday and was seated immediately with efficient service the whole time!My only qualm is with the pricing as I find that their quality is not any different than cheaper sushi options I frequent.“
“First time diner at Wasabi. First off, I can't believe I am leaving a 5 star rating based on the circumstances tonight. The food was excellent...some of the best sushi I have had in a while. But the place was packed...a complete madhouse...it was $7 roll night plus the night before Valentine's Day. Placed our order quickly and were excited for our rolls. The wait on our sushi order was over an hour which under normal circumstance would have me ballistic. What made this a 5 star experience was our amazing server, Michelle. She was incredibly good at her job...managed our expectations from the very beginning regarding the wait time for sushi and why things were going to take longer than normal. She also repeatedly mentioned that she hoped the long wait would not impact our decision to come back in the future...and is exactly what happened because of her care and attention to the situation.I dine out every day and was so impressed at how she managed our table. It is truly a rarity in this day and age to have someone so poised, professional and friendly able to manage our expectations the way she did given difficult circumstances. Thank you, Michelle!PS. we ordered the Philadelphia roll, the Batman Roll, the Yummy Roll and the Spicy Omega Roll...all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious...our favorite was the Spicy Omega.“
“I have celiac disease which, in very watered down terms, is a gluten allergy. I was nervous coming in because as a celiac, trying new restaurants is really scary when you know you might get sick.if you ask, they're super accommodating! my waitress was super nice and super patient and happily found an old copy of an allergen menu for me. as you'd expect, there aren't a whole lot of options available when it comes to rolls; there's spicy tuna, the california roll, etc. HOWEVER, there's tons of options when it comes to sashimi and nigiri! the fish is fresh and melts in your mouth and, above all, the staff is friendly, diverse, and all have really cool tattoos lol. thanks for the good food! :)Dietary restrictions: They happily make accommodations for gluten allergies!“
“I order from here weekly whether it’s dine-in or pickup. I have never been disappointed and even if there is ever an issue the staff goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied! I appreciate the great customer service and consistency. Thank you!“
“My brother owns a business across the street, so I'm consistently around this restaurant. They've got the jams on the radio, all things that are good on the TV, and hands down some of the best ramen I've had in the state. Not to mention, a variety of sushi. If I could eat here every day, I would. I love this place.“
“Ok, coming from sushi in Seattle and Vancouver, BC, no sushi in st Louis come close quality wise. That being said, most sushi here isn't bad either. Now that we have those conditions it's more about value for me. The sushi AI all you can eat special is the absolute best value you will get for sushi anywhere I've found. Rolls, nigiri, miso soup, you name it. It was all just as good as any overpriced location I've been to.“
