“I've lived in Saint Louis for about a year and a half and am moving this week. I've been to iNDO 3 times since moving here. It is probably my favorite restaurant of all time. I came as a final goodbye tonight and it was so bittersweet! I can't believe this place isn't rated higher on Google. Absurd. The food has layers of flavor, is interesting, fresh, and always so well done. Dishes are clearly so well thought out, with visual, textural, and flavorful elements that just scratch an itch in your brain. The quality of the sashimi is superior. I sometimes forget we're in Saint Louis because man, that is some good fish. The service also never misses, with knowledgable staff and perfect coursing of dishes. The new location which is a replacement for the location near SLU is just as tasty with little atmosphere and no soda fountain. The salad dressing was the best I’ve ever tasted. And the cloned Famous and Barr French Onion soup brought back great memories of this tasty soup from back in the day when I looked forward to lunching at Famous with my mother after a long day of Christmas shopping. The Chef came out and introduced himself, I think he said he was the owner. Really a cool guy and I can tell there's passion and skill put into the food. Someone loves this place, and that's why it's amazing.The ramen eggs- perfect every time.Pork belly- melts in your mouth.All the Sake in house is delightful.The noodles are tender.I'm not even overselling it, I regularly drive the nearly 3 hours to st louis for this, twice a year.It's almost that time and my mouth is watering about it.The parking lot isn't in the best shape and it's easy to miss the turn if you're going too fast. The directions to get there from the IL Bridge are really straight forward, though.Parking: Free parking lot but easy to miss the turn into it.“

Each guest is served either a pot of holiday tea or hot chocolate. The food is a traditional high tea menu. We had curry chicken salad, ham & cornichon pate, cucumber sandwiches, traditional egg salad and smoked salmon rosette. We also had scones with lemon curd and an abundance of desserts. Everything was absolutely exquisite and the service was everything you would expect from the Ritz Carlton!“
“In my opinion, Sushi AI makes some of the best Japanese food in STL. And while I enjoyed eating there in-person, I've mostly ordered online, but I've been very impressed with that alone. They get your order ready super fast, but don't get it twisted, they still don't sacrifice quality! They also have the best packaging compared to other Japanese places. Most places usually put it in a styrofoam takeout box, but Sushi AI uses a plastic container that actually seals, meaning the sauce doesn't splash all over the place!!! I've noticed that there's a lot of Japanese places in STL that are inconsistent with the quality of their food, particularly their chicken teriyaki. Sushi AI ALWAYS has amazing chicken teriyaki, and the presentation in-person is beautiful. Everybody I've introduced to this restaurant LOVES it. The service is amazing, they seat you very fast and they're just generally very kind and upbeat. The waitress was very friendly and ended up convincing my dad to try a sake bomb since he'd never heard of one. She showed us how to do it and the entire table ended up having a blast!“
“Went to the Ritz last night for their New Years Celebration. My shoe strap broke when walking in and I didn’t know what to do. But the staff there saved the day. I’ve never experienced such amazing hospitality. They saw me struggling and came to my rescue. Shoutout to Kenna for helping me. She not only offered a solution, but she sat on the floor and took 10 minutes to fix my shoe herself. All of the staff are so amazing and kind. “We love supporting small local business. I realized I haven't written about Ichiban- my favorite sushi restaurant in St. Louis. We have been customers here for about 5 years or so. We came here at least once a week. We usually ordered to go during the weekdays and dined in on the weekends.The owners treat and talk to us like family. Our go to orders are hamachi sashimi, spicy crazy roll, hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar), spider rolls and eel avocado rolls. Last night, I was in a mood for grilled fish so I ordered saba shioyaki combo. It came with ginger house salad, and miso soup. I absolutely loved the ginger dressing here - the owner made it herself. The restaurant is quite spacious, and clean. Highly recommend.“

But the place was packed...a complete madhouse...it was $7 roll night plus the night before Valentine's Day. Placed our order quickly and were excited for our rolls. The wait on our sushi order was over an hour which under normal circumstance would have me ballistic.What made this a 5 star experience was our amazing server, Michelle. She was incredibly good at her job...managed our expectations from the very beginning regarding the wait time for sushi and why things were going to take longer than normal. She also repeatedly mentioned that she hoped the long wait would not impact our decision to come back in the future...and is exactly what happened because of her care and attention to the situation.I dine out every day and was so impressed at how she managed our table. It is truly a rarity in this day and age to have someone so poised, professional and friendly able to manage our expectations the way she did given difficult circumstances. “I’m a notoriously picky eater and I don’t exit my culinary comfort zone very often. This meal was worth it from start to finish. It’s a quaint and relaxed atmosphere, with personable and phenomenal service. The four course dinner is more like 7 courses, and they space it out incredibly well. The staff was talkative and engaging without being intrusive. The flavor profile was incredible. I really can’t articulate how tremendously sublime any of the nigiri or sashimi was. This place gave me a “Ratatouille” flashback to other dishes that I’ve savored when I had the soup. It was that good“
