“It was a little after 9:00pm on a Saturday, when I spotted this J & J Restaurant. I went inside to place my order and was immediately impressed by its cleanliness. The floor, tables/seats, counters and the food preparation area...all very clean.The young woman that took my order was friendly and courteous. There was only one person ahead of me, however, some people had phoned in their orders, so there was a waiting period. I didn't mind because the time went so quickly. Also, unlike other J & J's, this one has a drive-thru.I ordered 3 dinners to go; a small jack salmon, a small ocean perch and a 6 pc. chicken wing dinner. Extras included an order of fried okra, hush puppies and a corn on the cob (a full size ear). Each dinner included:French fries, a very small cup of coleslaw and 2 slices of white bread in addition to the mild and hot sauce they provide.The fish was fried to perfection, light and crispy, not greasy. The chicken was also fried to perfection, crispy and not hard or greasy. All the side dishes were well prepared. Since none of us eats coleslaw or white bread, I can't speak about them.As for being different, in addition to its drive-thru, this J & J offers a variety of foods that I've never seen offered in any of the others; tacos, spaghetti, and a selection of salads, just to name a few.”

“They have thee best garlic fries! I tried the fish sandwich for the first time and it was very tasty! I call my order in and it's usually ready when I arrive. The staff and the owner are very very friendly and they've trained their staff to be the same way. This place has been a staple in the community for many years. It's a small space with limited seating, but I always run in and pick my order up to go.”

“This is my neighborhood go to taco spot. The food is affordable and good. If you are unsure what to get, just get the 3 taco meal for 9 dollars. It comes with a pop and fries. I normally get a steak taco, chorizo taco, and chicken taco.Parking: The lot is small but there’s always spots.”

“We pass this place plenty of times, when we went for tacos around the corner of it. Decided to stop in to give it a try. This is our new taco place! Steak, Pastor, Cecina and chorizo tacos are delicious! Carnitas they sometimes have on Sunday are the bomb. Pozole is delicious. Can't forget the nachos w/steak louded, couldn't wait until I got home, munched on them the whole way home.”

“I Love it and I go on the days of LOL with comedian Host L a.k.a Leonard and DJ BAMN, different comedians, I need more experience because of the different comedians and ever since my friend said she Love the Salmon I need to taste that, had buffalo wings but they was good, even though I paid to get in the couple of times I went they do have free tickets and you have to reserve and come 30mins early for the whole experience!”

“This restaurant really shocked me with the taste of the food. The food was so delicious I wanted to chew my fingers off too to get all the rest of the goodness off of it. This may sound funny but seriously, the food was so good and although I don't live in Illinois but every time I come to visit I will come to this place. I love the chicken Alfredo. Thank you to the staff and the owner that happened to be there at the time for the hospitality and for such great service. The prices are reasonable and that's shocking because the food is too good for the prices that they are. I think they should be more but I'm grateful for where they are. I recommend this place. If you want good food, please visit them get your food from there you will thank me and please give them a great review as well because this place really deserves all of that. “My first visit was on 4/26 @230p. I ordered the jerk tacos and mini turkey tips. I made the BEST decision! That jerk chicken taco was sooo flavorful, not too salty, with the perfect shell. I did not need that sauce. Mmm so delicious. The turkey tips were just as good! I never had turkey tips before, but after this, I will definitely have them again. Kudos to the chef! I just hope you maintain consistency in the quality, bc you just made a fan!”
