The food is phenomenal! Highly recommend their turkey wood-fired sandwich! It has a very refreshing taste and you will be going back for seconds! It’s a cute little place locally owned. Priced definitely match the quality of the food though! Make sure to call and place your order or just call to see if they are open since they have been experiencing some problems with the building they are in causing them to close but other than that I highly recommend! This is a perfect place to come after ice skating or bowling! And it’s definitely a place I will be ordering from again!

Veloce is a hidden gem in the Deerfield Highland Park area, although there are many pizza places in the area there’s nothing quite like this one. When I first picked up the pizza, it was so fresh that it immediately steamed up my car. Once I got home, the quality of the ingredients really stood out. From the mozzarella and pepperoni quality to the perfect char on the bread of the pizza. Overall, It was an amazing flavorful experience.

Really good Wood-Fired pizza! We found this through Yelp one Saturday afternoon and decided to give it a try. The eating area is small and only fits 4 people. But it was just my husband and I. We asked for suggestions and decided to try one pepperoni pizza and one vege pizza. Great crust! Very light and crispy. Great mix of fresh ingredients! The touch of added fresh basil to each pizza on the side was very nice. It will be a go to place for a delicious lunch or dinner.

On our way home from Prairie Wolf dog park, stopped for some pies for lunch. Per the name (Veloce), it was quick ~10 mins. First time, tried just reg cheese. Airy, crispy crust with good flavor and a wood oven finish. Fresh ingredients. Don't live round these parts, but next time I take the pooch to the park will definitely stop here to try something more adventurous. Clean place, kind service.
I'm really curious what the owner does as a day job because he obviously isn't running his restaurant. It's never open. It must be a hobby for him or something. Which is great for him, not great for his customers who want to support him. Either open a pizza shop, or don't. He expressed in responses on Yelp that he has solved the issues but obviously he hasn't. Really disappointing.

We were all really looking forward to "wood-fired" pizza from Veloce but, sadly it never happened. My biggest annoyance is when small restaurants/businesses don't take the time to update hours of business.

Upsetting they’re apparently permanently closed, but no phone message, notes online or notes in their physical door.Very glad I did not pay to order a pizza through their online portal which is still accepting payments for orders.

Pizza is fire—the tastiest for the money I’ve found around. We got the pesto and artichoke one. Still a few kinks to work out with their wait times. A system that sent a text message when the pizza is ready would be fantastic. Good vegetarian options. Happy to find such amazing pizza inside Lowe Mill.
