“Very friendly staff, Lulu was as sweet as can be! I very much appreciate a server who is so genuine and attentive. In general the food options are pretty good, but - I have many friends who are vegan or vegetarian. It's hard to find a place that offers any unique options for them Having a disappointed friend always detracts from a lunch date (A soup or another cooked veggie option would be surprising and delightful!).They were also out of the poppyseed dressing that really makes the salad it's for, that was another 2 friends slightly disappointed. We all did enjoy the tea options! Please get some more peach in stock soon :)Vegetarian options: There is a veggie wrap, does have feta cheese and ranch. It would be really nice to see a few more vegetarian/ vegan options, veggie wraps seem like the default option for every restaurant.“

“I got the fiesta skillet with chicken sausage instead of chorizo with apple cinnamon pancakes and I liked the meal except for the chicken sausage that was added and it’s only because they were patties instead of links. My daughter enjoyed her Oreo pancakes and my other daughter didn’t like her breakfast quesadilla because it didn’t have that authentic taste but she says she will try something else next time.“

“Service was good! I appreciate that they have fresh squeezed orange juice but what needs to be changed is the name of their red velvet french toast. It should be red velvet cake roll toasted. I was very disappointed that it was a cake and not bread.“

“A great breakfast restaurant nice, small and intimate only has about 20 to 25 tables. We did wait a while for breakfast however they were full and had a large party to take care of with very few servers. They were nice enough to comp our drinks for our patience. The food was definitely worth the wait. The decor was simple and perfect for a breakfast place. I hope to see them succeed into a larger place, with more staff, and a larger menu! “We've been going to Lumes for years, it's our favorite breakfast restaurant. No matter if it was just us or a get together of family and friends we always get wonderful service and great food. Once in a while we get it to go and the food is just as good and ready when we get there to pick it up. “My best friend and I met up for breakfast at Bacon and Jam. This was our first time eating here. I ordered the Opa omelet and my friend ordered the Butcher Omlete. Our waitress was amazing she welcomed us to the restaurant and gave us plenty of time to order and to eat. We didn't feel rushed at all. She was very attentive with our coffee refills. Everything was wonderful and I recommend everyone to eat at Bacon and Jam. I have to thank my daughter for recommending this restaurant. If I could give 10 stars I would. Definitely coming back.?“

Since the restaurant serves breakfast & lunch, I hoped the coffee would be great. I like black, hot, mild roasted coffee. I was disappointed with my coffee. It was served hot but it was weak(my only disappointment).“

“I really like this restaurant and so does my husband. Went there three times and they are consistent with being pleasant and friendly. The food is great, almost licked my plate!! they give you enough food you can take home for the next morning for breakfast. Clean floors and tables, bathroom was clean as well. “I’ve been coming to stacks for years and I’m never disappointed. They have a wonderful variety of breakfast and lunch food, and the food is always delicious. The service/staff is wonderful and the place itself is nice and very clean. We’ve had Jen as our server quite a few times and she is hilarious and charming, and provides the best service you could ask for! She is super friendly while doing her job perfectly at the same time. I always recommend Stacks over any other breakfast places in the area. I also order delivery from them fairly often and the food is just as good as in store. You won’t regret visiting Stacks!“

“I’m from a smaller town and anytime I go to Chicago I stop here for pancakes. The pancakes are absolutely perfect. They are light, they are moist and the perfect size so I’m not over doing it. Definitely have the pancakes, eggs, bacon or corned beef hash.“
