“Happened to be in Antioch with my daughter and stopped in The Lodge for a late lunch. I had one of the best, if not the best chicken wrap with fries. It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it. I ordered the 1/2 slab of ribs it came with a side salad, a 6" piece of corn on the cob, and fries which I upgraded to the baked potato for $1 more. The baked potato was quartered and a huge potion size so definitely worth the extra $1. The 1/2 slab of ribs had about 7 bones... so you got a decent amount! The employees are always patient with you and make sure you're comfortable with your decision on toppings before they actually place them on your sandwich. I definitely feel like their vegetables are fresh, and the meat is tasty, but not top quality. Again, I am comparing a chain to Euro-style sandwiches. I'm not expecting top tier, but I am definitely happy with the sandwich I get, which is always the Mr. Sub. This location is hidden in a Mobil gas station, which I would have never found had I not searched for places to eat in Fox Lake. I barely know the area, having moved here from Chicago. Definitely check them out. What's also cool is that if there are other incidentals that you need from the gas station shop, it's there for you to purchase along with your sandwich. Love it!“
“I've been here a few times now since the change from Touch of Class and am always pleasantly surprised at the quality. The food is great, and usually exactly what I'm wanting. The chef has dropped by my table a few times after we've eaten just to make sure everything was good and what we were wanting. The service is always rather quick and polite too! The overall ambience seems to still be developing as time goes on but nothing bad. A great "burger" joint (with far more selections) that hopefully continues into the future.“
