“Our first time here, it was last minute and we chose it based on a picture someone posted of a soup. We were pleasantly surprised to come in on a Sunday afternoon and we were provided with a table in one of their private rooms. We chose several options and when we tasted the soup, it was soo delicious. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back. We even got additional stuff to go.Kid-friendliness: The kids were offered a kiddie cocktail and they got a kick out of it.“
“Ever since my go to restaurant Hong Min closed, I have been searching for a new Chinese restaurant. I live 4 minutes away and my girlfriends wanted to try this new restaurant Harmony in Palos Heights. They both ordered Pina coladas and they said it's pricey but pretty delicious. My dirty martini is gross. Dirty martini was my choice of drink so I've had quite a few and this is one that normally tells you they don't know what they're doing. It's just straight up vodka. No vermouth and no brine. Nothing but vodka with ice.Service was pleasant. Very friendly and the place was pretty big. Love how spacious the booths are which was very comfortable.Pot stickers was big and doughy and I had the Mongolian beef and it was delicious but it is spicy. I can eat spice and this was right up my alley. Chicken fried rice was also pretty good. Love how big the portions are and not skimpy at all.If my dirty martini was good, I probably would have given them 5 stars. It is my fault for ordering a dirty at a Chinese restaurant but with a liquor license, I expect that's doable. They could have simply say, please order from the menu or wine. We don't do martinis. Still a decent 4 stars. Will definitely be back for other dishes maybe no alcohol for me.“
“Amazing food. I eat here whenever I'm in the western suburbs. The soup dumplings are very good and highly recommended. I also recommend the stir fried pancakes which aren't really pancakes at all but a type of noodle. They do taste somewhat like pancakes though.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options including pan fried noodles with veggies and vegetable side dishes.Parking: There is plenty of parking“
“Really, really, really great Chinese food! Everything is made fresh and made at order..Seen how everything is made with real and fresh ingredients is amazing! Honestly, my whole family talked how is better than other restaurant we gone around town.Check out the pics for your self and see how delicious it looks! A must try in Chicago Lawn AreaOwners are nice..You won’t regret it!“
“If you read any of the reviews for Al's Drive In online, people have a ton of nostalgia for this place. I find nostalgia for a restaurant can play a negative role for those who don't have the association, but that wasn't the case for me who only ate here for the first time today. The Chicago dog and super taco were solid but the combination fried rice was the hero for me. Never thought l'd find this kind of wok hei flavor from a Chicago Red Hots institution in Maywood, IL that would remind me so much of the fried rice I grew up with at my Chinese immigrant family's restaurant in Arizona. Honestly just throw in some bean sprouts and you'd have a 1:1 copy. I may not have the same nostalgia that a lot of the usuals have with Al's, but that familiar taste of home is so present in every bite of this fried rice. I'm immediately transported to teenage me devouring a large combination fried rice at my own family's restaurant after working a full day's 12hr shift in the summer and immediately passing out in my bed when I got home. I wish I had started coming here sooner.“
“This is a great place for maki rolls... The service was very good. I love the fact you ordered your food and it came to the table fresh, great concept for buffet. Abit of advice go hungry and with more the 2 people for the buffet. Going back soon to try other foods for sure.“
“Food was great. I ordered egg rolls which were huge! Shrimp fried rice and sweet sour chicken. Takes time to prepare so call about an hour in advance. I believe there are just two people working. Perhaps a husband and wife business. Take out only!“
“The food was great, the service not so much, our server’s attitude was not welcoming, constantly felt like he’s rushing and was forced to serve us and forced to smile, he did his job took our order brought drinks but that’s it, someone else brought our food, we needed paper napkins and a refill he brought the napkins but never offered to refill my drink, I did ask but never received the refill, the place wasn’t very busy during lunch…“
“I've been living in the greater chicagoland area for 3 years now and have struggled to find my go-to chinese spot and I finally found it! The egg rolls were delicious and so was the lo-me in. There is no dine it option, but your order is ready to carry away when you get there. Seamless pick-up with old school chinese restaurant charm.“
“We have gone her so many times. This place never disappoints us. The ladies are super nice. Food is served fast. They also pack the left overs for you. They also have vegetarian options. They have these super delicious almond cookies they give along with the fortune cookies.Thr decorations inside are unique and give a nice cozy look.Occasionally there are free music shows. One night there was Rod Stewart. We didn’t know about him, but we checked later. He is a celebrity of sorts.“
“My new favorite go to Chinese food restaurant! The owners are so kind, gave my children candy when we came in to pick up. Everything I had was very tasty. My go to's are Sesame chicken, egg rolls, crab ragoon, beef with peapods, and fried rice. They are all amazing so far. Chicken actually looks and tastes like real chicken. All the vegatables are fresh and you can tell. 5 stars! Also the food is FAST and not greasy like some places!“
“Came for the rave reviews about their dim sum and they didn't disappoint. Food was hot, fresh, tasty, good portions and staff was very attentive. Really have to hand it to the chefs. Although decor is nice, they really should've spent more time or money in hiring quality painters and that includes the restrooms. It would make the place so much nicer for a place that is touting to be a high end cuisine. Been told it's been open for about 4-5 months and will definitely be back for lunch or dinner.“
“Forbidden noodles' primarily culinary focus is Japanese Ramen and stir fry selections. The curry is good and tastes very much like the mild golden ramen brand Japanese curry that I make at home occasionally. The chicken and broccoli added to the standard rice and carrot/potato curry mixture were of good quality. The Tonkotsu had very good pork, and surprisingly, it included broccoli as well. The more common ramen garnishes of onions, baby bock choy, egg, naruto (fish cake), and seaweed were also in this bowl and tasted good. They have a cheese, steak, and jalapeño egg roll that was amazing, and yes, you should try one. Forbidden Noodles is a great addition to downtown La Grange and for this area, this is a good choice for ramen in the area. If you are searching for your favorite bowl of ramen anywhere around chicagoland, feel free to check my reviews of alternate ramen restaurant options.“

“One of the top Chinese restaurants in Chicago!Recommend the orange chicken. Sauce tastes homemade and chicken is high quality and perfectly fried. Also recommend the Chef Korean Special. Heart vegetables, meat and kimchi in a perfectly spicy and tangy sauce.“
“I have tried all the Chinese food within a 20 mile radius after my old Chinese restaurant closed after the owners retired after 18 years. Oriental Taste is the best Chinese food I've ever had! I've eaten Chi-Tung in Evergreen Park and this place blows everyone away! A+++“
“This is real home cooked Chinese food! Very simple old school stall in a food court but don’t let the surroundings fool you. This place is worth the 45 min drive for me. Best Chinese food in Chicago imo. LOVE the scallion pancakes. Everything tastes “
“I commute 25 minutes across town to this location. I haven't found a Chinese returante in chicago that meets or exceeds my taste buds as they do. 8 years and two issues that were easily corrected after informing them. Try the chicken wings, you'll love them. Mongolian Beef is to die for, coupled with a pineapple smoothie to wash it down.“
“So I’ve been coming to this place since the 90’s. It’s definitely one of those places that simply satisfies and brings wholesome vibes into your comfort food. They’re very friendly and the food is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. Cash is a must and it’s too small to dine in but you’ll definitely have enough for leftovers making them very reasonably priced. Don’t waste your money on Panda or anywhere else for that matter, THIS IS THE SPOT!“
“It's been forever since I've had take-out Chinese food. With my family out of town, I had to get some! For $40, I got enough food for four days. It reheated well. The General Tso's chicken had just enough kick. The beef fried rice was plenty beefy. They had a steady stream of customers in and out. I can't wait to go back.“
“There are several great asian restaurants in La Grange, and most are pretty high end.Yau's Place is on the opposite end of the spectrum, but in a quaint kind of way. This is a hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop restaurant, run by a family that charmingly puts zero effort into creating an ambiance. I seriously say that with affection. This isn't a place you'd want to bring a date, but if you just want some good, cheap, fast chicken fried rice (or whatever your favorite Chinese dish is), I'd recommend it.Just be prepared to have a little "uhh.... are you open?" type of reaction when you walk in.“
“Food was delicious!I had the orange chicken with combination fried rice and an egg roll. Also ordered a mango smoothie with tapioca that was amazing!Service was excellent; the lady was very welcoming and wonderful, will definitely be coming back!“

The Beef Lo Mein is a comforting noodle dish with a rich medley of flavors and textures, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. “Always on point. Food is cooked as ordered. Though the pricing increased still decent amount of food.Vegetarian options: There are no vegetarian foods hereParking: Laramie is busy and the parking is one of those if you see a spot better grab it. I wouldn't suggest double parking in front of the restaurant becomes a clutterWheelchair accessibility: Access into store has a ramp and threshold. But there is no handicap parking spot“
“I'm completely addicted to this place. So far it's been the best Chinese food I've had since moving to Chicago. The sweet and sour chicken is wonderful. Most of the time the chicken balls are nice and crispy. The lo mein is also quite good. My favorite is their general tsos. It's just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The only negative is that they aren't open on Mondays.“
“Large parking lot that is usually empty or plenty of spaces. It’s next door to Park to Shop. There are technically 4 restaurants, you may see 5 but 2 of them are connected. The Serbian restaurant is almost always dead, not a lot of customers. It’s a shame because Serbian food is pretty tasty. On the weekends, they have Taiwanese breakfast at Chinese Cafe. Usually a long line. Good mix of Chinese and Taiwanese food. I would like to see them add more of the popular Taiwanese dishes. Prices are usually cheap to moderate. Good size portions.“
“Great sushi and gyoza dumplings. We got the shrimp tempura roll, Blackhawk roll, and sweetheart roll. All delicious. Very clean restaurant with nice, lounge-like decor. Very nice staff as well. Was not crowded on a Friday night but lots of takeout orders. We went later at night but I can imagine this place gets crowded at peak times.“
“Authentic and really wide range menu items, including tofu jelly/pudding, fresy soy milk, and fried dough. Family business with the family working during the weekend. There are 4 restaurants at the International Mall food court (next to Park to Shop asian grocery store) and this place is by far the busiest. Great value and great food.“
“Upon entering the restaurant with my wife and daughter, we found the ambiance to be extremely calming with traditional asian soothing music playing in the background and Chinese lantern lighting in the front window area. We then met and were seated by JoAnn, the co-owner of the restaurant. After receiving our soup (Hot and Sour) found it to be the most balanced (perfect hot/perfect sour) and delicious soup we have ever had in a long time. We then ordered pot stickers and Szechuan won ton, JoAnn explained all the pot stickers and won ton are homemade from scratch, not from frozen as well as the smoothies made with REAL fruit, no concentrate. Our main course was not overly saucey but flavorful with just the right amount of sauce to add to each dish's unique palette. It is important to note that each dish we ordered was very traditional to the way Chinese cuisine should be prepared and was not overly salty, oily, or seasoned. We left our host and the restaurant feeling satisfied and will be bringing the entire family in the very near future. We have finally found OUR new Chinese restaurant!“

“Had a catering order for Christmas day. Jennie was more than nice to explain the different party size trays and options available. She made sure that the food was hot and ready when I got there. Everyone said the food was some of the best they had. Will be back ?“
“Wow this place is awesome! We wanted to find a restaurant with good Chinese food on our way home from downtown and Harmony had positive reviews so we gave them a try. The outside is simple and straightforward, and a little deceiving in a really good way -- walking inside we were surprised at how much space there was, and the decor and fish tank were spot on! Friendly and fast service, tasty drinks, delicious food, a hidden gem!“
“Whats good Yelpers?! It's the Fat Boy again & this time I have some pretty good Chinese food here. I'm always looking for some great Chinese food but it's hard to find to my satisfaction. I just happen to get a flyer from Wing Wah Lau and the food looked pretty good so I decided to gave them a try. Inside looks like a place that used to be a sit in restaurant, now it's just a space where you can get good Chinese take out. And we know THOSE ARE THE PLACES FOR GREAT FOOD! Lol. When first going to any place new I try to order the basic. Because if they can't prepare the basic most common dishes Don't even think about trying anything else. So my wife and I ordered some Jumbo Shrimp Fried rice, shrimp egg foo young, fried Wontons & some pot stickers. And I must say everything was pretty good. The Jumbo Shrimp fried rice had a nice amount of "fresh" tasting shrimp. Very fresh & very tasty! (8.5/10) I asked for Jumbo shrimp egg foo young but they only serve regular shrimp egg foo young. Now to that I was disappointed as the small shrimp in Chinese food is normally not divined. But to my surprise these small shrimp were divined!! That was a major plus for me! (8.5/10) the pot stickers I didn't have they were for my wife. They were completely fried I've never seen a fried pot sticker. She said they were just ok she prefers the steamed and pan seared pot stickers she gave them a (5/10) the fried wontons was good! (7/10) I will most definitely be returning to Wing Wah Lau they've just become my place for fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced Chinese take out! Overall I give them a solid (8/10) And Remember my fellow Yelpers all reviews are subjective. Sorry my pictures don't do them justice. Trust me is fire!! And I was smashing Lol. I really give them a 4.5 stars!“
“I’ve been to this location many times for lunch and dinner, mostly pick up. The food here is quality is very good, the lunch menu is a great deal as seen on photo, the portion is great. Compliments to the Chef and all of the hard working staff! I recommend getting the jalapeño fried rice ! It is amazing!Parking: Parking lot on side of building“
“This place is dead in the middle of the hood around dope n crack spots so be careful. Other then that, it's a good little fast food spot that has good prices. The owner Tony is cool as hell but yea if you don't know how to carry yourself in the hoof go with someone who does or call in ahead of time so you can walk in have your food ready n dip. Also offers beveragesVegetarian options: They got some stuff like different dishes that don't have any meatKid-friendliness: You can bring your kids but don't keep em in there long. So many strung out disgusting smellin people that literally haven't showered for minimum 1 year so you can imagine how it reeks. The babies don't need to be around thatParking: You can park on Pulaski close to directly in front of the shop or on Van Buren on the other street that intersects next to the shopWheelchair accessibility: I think you can fit wheelchairs“
“China Garden offers a convenient option for Chinese cuisine to go. The menu features a variety of classic dishes like General Tso's chicken, fried rice, and lo mein. The taste is flavorful and satisfying, with good portion sizes. The restaurant's quick service makes it ideal for a quick meal on busy days. Prices are usually reasonable, offering good value for the quality and quantity of food. Keep in mind that taste preferences can vary, so it's always best to try a few dishes to see what suits your palate best.“
“Went there today for first time. Food Was Fire. I can't remember the last time I had Green Onions Cut Up On My Rice ,Egg Foo Young...... I'll Be Back. Thank You Very Much To Person Who Prepared My Food. I Can Tell They Cared And They Must Love To Cook. D.A.N.“
“N-Joy on 35th Street in Cicero is my go to for Chinese food when I'm in the Chicago area Southside!Rated over 4 stars & you can taste it in their food... My first time ever trying Beef Kimchi, what can I say, ate it all & really liked it... Speaking of trying, I tried their *Chicken Wings* - there goes my diet - very good & very crispy as I like & tender!!I have the utmost confidence & eager to try new dishes from now on... Really like all my go to order be it Egg Rolls, Shrimp Fried Rice, Crab Rangoons & Egg Foo Young to name a few... My GF likes the Beef Kow & her daughter likes their Wonton Soup... I've been slowly changing a few of my food choices over the past few years cutting down & or out my unhealthy foods for better & healthier, more Antioxidant rich foods... It's actually real easy to do... Think I'll be getting a extra large soup from now on with my take outs... My now new motto - Invest in Yourself! Can't wait to try all the soups as I always look at the choices!Cash or credit, their menu has coupons for free items on how much you spend which I like...Also any changes or additions they will make however you like, sometimes at a small fee...I only had take out so I can't give 5 stars, but definitely 4.5!!Thanks N-Joy & see you soon!“
“This place never fails to disappoint when I'm in the mood for some good Chinese food. The portions are fair for the price, and I've never had a complaint except that it's sometimes hard to order due to the limited understanding of English the owners have. They also always are very fast on delivery. Overall just a great hole in the wall Chinese place.“
“This is the best place for Chinese food! They give you such huge portions and for the price you can’t beat it! The food is always extremely hot and you can tell they make it all fresh! Me and my family have been going here for awhile now and never had a complaint! I highly recommend this restaurant!“
“This place is nothing fancy, but provides a solid meal. It's always fresh and plentiful. The owner/manager is ALWAYS behind the counter and is so hard working. The beef fried rice, Mongolian beef, and shrimp with veg are soooo goodParking: It's in a strip mall so usually there is easy parking.“
“Highly recommend their Hunaan Chicken, a style that is often spicier than Szechuan style. So much flavor in the sauce and they give you a lot of sauce, which is perfect for reheating later on a pan with their rice. And the veggies were cooked just right for that slight crunch!! It is my favorite dish to look and ask for. I did not see it on their main menu and asked about it-- it is always worth asking! So good!“
“They have great luncheon specials with generous portions and a free egg roll. I love hot and spicy dishes; my favorite is Kung Pao Beef which has a ton of flavor (nice heat), a lot of beef, peanuts and very tasty fried rice. I also like their Shrimp Egg Foo Yung. The other reviewer here is totally wrong. Either he needs to add soy sauce or maybe he was going through chemotherapy and had lost his sense of taste. Their service is also terrific and if you phone in your order ahead of time it will be piping hot ready for pickup iun about 15 minutes within 15 minutes.“
“We love Malahini Terrace! It is our favorite place. My spouse and I usually eat in under the cute thatch huts and twinkle lights. We get the meal for 2, which includes soup (hot & sour, egg drop) egg rolls & crab rangoon, and choice of two entries. Our picks are the Oriental Plate (pork fried rice, BBQ pork & BBQ ribs) and the Malahini Beef (tender straps of beef and veggies). This last time, we ordered out to feed our family of eight. Plenty of food, with leftovers for another day! Don't forget the fortune cookies and the silly way to read them. Wink wink.Always delicious! Yum!“
“Well cooked meals. Loaded with fresh vegetables. But too many carrots sometimes in some dishes where I wish there as more water chestnuts or bean sprouts m, you know traditional Chinese food takeout veggies. The food is always ready on time when we order. But the place needs to be cleaned more often. It is what it is though, decent Chinese takeout in a pinch that I've been eating on and off for 30 years. The kitchen is closed off now, but the food has been consistently good. I don't eat there often but when I'm passing through Happiness Chinese hits the spot!“
“Good all around restaurant. Mainly a to Jo joint. They have tables, but not waiters. If you buy the food, you can eat it there. Not in a typical restaurant design however.Wheelchair accessibility: Not the most room to maneuver a chair. I'd recommend sending someone to get your food.“
“My first time going here and the food was amazing… I normally would drive to oak park to get Chinese food but since I stay literally 6 mins away from here I decided to try… food was fresh… very flavorful and I loved it… I will definitely be a returning customer Cindy customer service was great as well.. and their CHOW MEIN is the absolute best I’ve ever had everything was made fresh to order… the beef fried rice good the spicy beef was good everything was great“
“I enjoyed the food here. I got five different plates and two drinks and paid $85, they give complementary tea, water and good service. They also have music playing in the background from a projector. They give large portions of foods. It was my partner and I only and we couldn't finish the food I think the serving is for like four or six people. Loved it! I would come again :)“
“I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE them, I have been a customer or part of the Toy family for over 25 years. They have always been nice to me and my family. I am always greeted with a smile and memories of my children rush back to with every visit. Oh and by the way the food is great and nobody nobody makes a better "SUPER TACO".“
“I come here monthly. Sometimes 2 times a month. Shrimp fried rice is good, half the time I wish they put less cilantro . But overall it's worth it. The manager is nice, she's from the same part of China my wife is. She's always friendly“
