“I am giving it 4 stars for food and service and location and music. They often host large parties for the public called block parties- these are always fun. This is a staple for LB locals. I would go more if it wasn't always packed and there weren't so many small children. I never understood bringing small children to bars but LB seems to just be that way. If you want an adult night out this is not the place. If you have kids and want to go out with them this is the place.“
“We came by to Moe's after hearing about an advertisement for a special brunch event, and we were floored by the wonderful people running this place! They were very friendly and inviting, and held a simple but classic brunch with mimosas and the atmosphere was kind and caring! We haven't been to it in the evening as a bar, but this brunch special is something they'd like to run monthly and we'll worth it!“

“This was a great find!!! The service was outstanding! The drinks were phenomenal. The food was seasoned well, perfect temp and large portions. My husband and I just stopped in for lunch. He ordered traditional combo fajitas and I ordered 2 steak tacos and one shrimp taco. We also ordered a side of black beans, I do not recommend the black beans. The guava margarita was soooo good. This guacamole was the best in lake county, hands down!!!!“

“Love Pips! My sister and I discovered this place a few months ago. Delicious hand crafted cocktails. Everything is house made from their infused liquors, all syrups and meads. Joy is a cocktail master! Matt is very personable and knowledgeable, he's the mead master, just don't ask him about pizza. lol. Joy has the low down on pizza delivery. I highly recommend this amazing Gurnee find. Only recommendation, turn down the bright lights.“
“My wife and I randomly discovered this place, and it didn't disappoint! We were hoping to find a chill spot to grab a drink with low-key vibes, and this was exactly the place we were looking for. They have fantastic beer, easy-going nature, and it just feels like a place you want to hang. They have an awesome array of board games which we love, and took part in. We had to cut the night short but it was a spot we could have stayed for hours. We now know exactly where to hit up next time we go to Highwood!“
“A rare North Shore gem combining outstanding cuisine with art from local artists. As it's name implies, the Gallery is an art gallery, but with a kitchen and an extremely talented chef. The menu and art are both updated every 3 months. We have been to the Gallery for the past 5 menus and every visit has been excellent. The menu is very limited but offers enough options for most people (so far, there has always been a salmon, another seafood entree, a beef entree, and a poultry entree). While limited in choice, the execution of every dish is at the very top of the fine dining scene and could compete with most of the top rated restaurants in Chicago - in our experience the Gallery should be a Bib Gourmand contender. While the entree is the star here, two non-entree items deserve special mention. First, the deviled eggs with balsamic and bacon are so good we have felt many times we could just eat a few orders of deviled eggs and be happy, and are in the "must have" category (thankfully, these are on every menu so far). Second, the pastry deserts are executed at a level that I would not expect except at a Michelin starred restaurant. The deserts have been mostly different each visit, but they have always blown us away. Don't skip desert! Note that the Gallery has a very limited wine and spirits menu, but they encourage you to bring your own wines with a very minimal corkage fee.“

The plain French fries were very average, but the truffle fries were much better.The calamari was good, but the other appetizers were not so much. The goat cheese was bland and the crab cakes were small and mushy.I had an alcohol free cocktail and it was good, but not $9 good.The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both loved by our dining partners.The service was pretty slow, but I'm sure they were under staffed since it was a holiday weekend.“

The servings were enormous and they even have an option to order take home for a cheaper price. We tried their desserts-- the New York style cheesecake was just okay but their Tiramisu was so good. Since it was a birthday lunch, they served a piece of Tiramisu with a lighted candle for the celebrant. We were so full and still had lots of take-homes..Kid-friendliness: There were some toddlers from another table and saw that they were seated on a high chair and looked comfortable. The placement of tables and chairs were not cramped so the kids could somehow run around.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp at the entrance and the wheelchair could be freely pushed inside and fit into the dining area.“

“This place is simply amazing. I went there for a paint n sip and instantly knew I'd like to host an event there. I decided to have my 30th birthday party there. I rented out the private area, where you had the option of having your own DJ and personal Bartender. David, the owner, worked with me closely throughout the process. From helping me choose a DJ to helping with the food options. He made sure during the night that me and my guests were happy and satisfied. It was definitely a vibe there! All the guests had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere. DeeJay Nez was great. He understood the assignment! The Theme was "Back to the 90s" he played a great mix of 90s/2000s. If you want to have a good time and relax, or need a space to host a party, I definitely recommend Social Bar and Grill! You won't be sorry! Would add a better photo from Butterfield and Rt 45 Vernon Hills Illinois if I had on this device. Some nice ones from Kareoke and dancing on Instagram.“
“My wife and I like to be patrons of our local establishments, and the Legion has hosted some craft brew events in the past. It was unfortunate that the older lady bartending seemed bothered by us ordering a Kentucky Mule with Makers. Her demeanor was surprising. Wish she would've been friendlier. There is no music in the place that you can hear. Pool table is a plus. They seem to have karaoke but looked like equipment was just laying around. Needs a little bit TLC.“

“We booked my son’s 1st birthday party here because we really loved the four seasons room they had. The food was very good! The server Beth, we had was very sweet and nice to everyone. However I just wish she was a bit more tentative with supplying the things we needed. We had “open bar” for beer and wine for a part of the party but I believe there was some miscommunication from one of the bartenders to the guests about that.. We also didn’t have enough tables/chairs for the amount of people we had even though we gave them a final count a week before the party. I did have to clean up most of my guests plates myself too which was a little disappointing. And I also had to keep going up to the bar to ask for more plates, plasticware, napkins and cups. I realize this is a bar, not a banquet hall but I think we just expected a little more attention from what we got.
