“My family and I went here Friday night for dinner. The service was fantastic. It is extremely difficult to find a server/bartender who is great with kids. We had Meg as our server/bartender tonight and she was amazing! She clearly loves what she is doing. Our kids are begging to go back! While juggling multiple other tables she never failed to make sure our drinks were full and we were happy. She also recommended the big pretzel which was huge and delicious. The food did not disappoint. Pucks is a great family friendly sports bar for families who love hockey and want friendly, fast, and competent service.“
“I am giving it 4 stars for food and service and location and music. They often host large parties for the public called block parties- these are always fun. This is a staple for LB locals. I would go more if it wasn't always packed and there weren't so many small children. I never understood bringing small children to bars but LB seems to just be that way. If you want an adult night out this is not the place. If you have kids and want to go out with them this is the place.“

The staff switched the TV nearest us to the NCAA women's basketball semifinal game when I asked upon arrival, and Katie later put it on the biggest screen for us without a request. “This is a cool spot in Highwood. Nothing really stands out as exceptional, but everything was pretty good.I got the rueban sandwich because we were there on St Patrick's Day. It was ok. The plain French fries were very average, but the truffle fries were much better.The calamari was good, but the other appetizers were not so much. The goat cheese was bland and the crab cakes were small and mushy.I had an alcohol free cocktail and it was good, but not $9 good.The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both loved by our dining partners.The service was pretty slow, but I'm sure they were under staffed since it was a holiday weekend.“

“PS Pub truly exhibits everything a neighborhood bar is supposed to be good people unwinding enjoying different ales and spirits sharing conversation and having a laugh. up until now I've always shopped at the liquor store next door, I stopped in for my favorite blue moon with a wedge of Orange ice cold and on tap well I guess I found myself having a few and when I'm feeling that way I gaze upon the pretty bottles of spirits Tequila's rums whiskeys from all over the place and that little demon in my belly says "send it my way" so I settled on a peanut butter whiskey I love them if that's your thing you know they have malort which I've never actually tried I hear it's an acquired taste perhaps another time they've got a nice little popcorn machine that puts it out I like to snack a bit while I'm putting them down. friendly service really nice people from the neighborhood and a great place to unwind. so although it doesn't look like much from the outside you know judging that book by its cover thing stop in belly up and enjoy yourself“

“Everyone was very welcoming for our very first meal in Illinois. I even ordered a Sangria and I don't take alcohol very well, the waitress saw me and gave me soda water to soothe the taste. The pasta is sooo cheesy and the pizza was super flavorful, everything tasted homemade.“

We ended up sitting at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. We ended up ordering drinks and a couple of appetizers. We ordered the hot honey chicken sliders, pub sliders and boneless wings. Everything was so delicious. Our favorite was the hot honey chicken sliders. They also had golf simulators in the restaurant which we'll try the next time.“

Our server Maria was so friendly and welcoming.We started off with the cheese curds and the morning after is a must try appetizer. “Fantastic, old school spot for a fabulous meal. I've been going here since I was a kid and nothing has changed. They have a warm and comfy dining room on one side with tables and big deep booths, and on the other side is a lively 360° oval bar with booths and tables around the perimeter, great bartenders, and you can get full meal service at the bar with a full place setting. Prices are reasonable, the food is all good / consistent, they make a wonderful hamburger on dark rye, ribs are amazing, and it's kid friendly!“
“I stopped on a late night to have a couple of drinks thinking that actually I was not going to be able to order any food at all but they can make a pizza after the kitchen closes so that really made my night because I didn't know where else to go around the area. The lady at the bar very attentive.Nice set up of screens to watch sports, Pizza was very good and the place is very modern and clean, I will return next time I'm in the area.“
