“First time at Tonality. Early dinner. Molly was our server and had 2 excellent reco's. For me it was the Gnocchi which was a plate cleaner. The combo of gnocchi with mushroom and asparagus was smart. The sauce was lemony and tasted a bit like vinegar which I liked. My wife had the pork Schnitzel with spatzel. The breading was dark and tasty. The portion was huge. She loved it. I had a tasty Amber Ale with dinner. Cool brewery atmosphere in an open space. Highly recommend.“
“We had our wedding reception at The Barrel Room @ Harbor Brewing Company, Lake Villa.Firstly, let me say that the staff is incredible, passionate, and extremely supportive. Not only do you sense that when you are enjoying the public bar facing Cedar Avenue, but you feel that especially when you host a private event in their premier entertainment space: The Barrel Room.We worked with Alyssa from start to finish. She is an incredible person, helping us every step of the way. She made incredible suggestions to us, relieving a lot of our stress from the experience, which you cannot put a price on.The overall atmosphere is incredible. What they were able to achieve with their beautiful space is going to liven up downtown Lake Villa.We held our ceremony at Lehmann Park and our catering was from Galati's next door to HBC. (Please check out Galati's and my review for them.)Between Harbor Brewing and Galati's, downtown Lake Villa has two 'anchor' establishments that will surely cultivate an incredible future. “Love Pips! My sister and I discovered this place a few months ago. Delicious hand crafted cocktails. Everything is house made from their infused liquors, all syrups and meads. Joy is a cocktail master! Matt is very personable and knowledgeable, he's the mead master, just don't ask him about pizza. lol. Joy has the low down on pizza delivery. I highly recommend this amazing Gurnee find. Only recommendation, turn down the bright lights.“
“I love coming to Broken Tee for their Wednesday trivia nights. They have a good selection of drinks and of their food I've only tried their appetizers. I like that they have many options and my favorites where the Elote Cheese Bite and the cheese curds. I've received great service everytime I go and appreciate the cleanliness of the place too. Once it gets nice out I look forward to enjoying the outdoor seating.“

Food at the Round Lake Beach location is available at the Pizza place in the same plaza who will bring your food to you at the bar. Loved going on DJ Bingo nights, Jesse is the best!! “Great beer (the only thing you really need), and it definitely has the low-key vibe you seek. While it is a small space, they make it work and have every board game you can think of. I even take my kids occasionally since they can play with games. Fun spot, check it out.“
“Very large and friendly brewery. Mostly Ballast point beer, hard to complain about fresh top tier west coast brews. Increasing their own Kings and Convicts brews, larger scale than local microbrews but remain high in quality and prices are very fair. Golf simulators for this inclined. “We ended up here by accident and really enjoyed ourselves!Our lunch plans got upended while we were enroute and saw this place and decided to give it a try.Walked in, got the spiel from the guys at the counter and collected our "cards" so we could use the dispensers.Ordered lunch, tried quite a few of the brews and even played a couple of rounds of games we selected from the expansiveselection.We all enjoyed our food, except for the banana pudding - it was really grainy.It's easy to go a little crazy with the beer/cider/wine dispensers as it's all priced by the ounce, we spent about $20 per person.If we're in the neighborhood I'm sure we would stop in again as it was a fun afternoon.I'm sure this place gets hopping in the summer time with their big patio.“
