“This company bakes amazing sprouted grain breads. The only issue I have with them is shipping to the west coast. The cost of shipping is too high IMHO. I wonder why they can't use USPS priority flat rate boxes. That'll be so much cheaper for some of us to be able to order regularly. I wanted to order some more but at almost $60 I'm unable to. I hope they can look into this issue. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a local business that carries these breads.“

“Delighted to discover that the Gingko Restaurant is open in the evening for Illumination (holiday lights) events. After experiencing the light displays, we stopped for a meal.So many vegan and vegetarian choices on the menu. Other museums and venues could take a lesson from this! We ordered and enjoyed the Korean Stirfry. It was a little salty for me, but ample portions and reasonable prices. Served piping hot. Hot cider was delicious.Lots of seating in the clean dining area, including seats by the expansive windows overlooking the lights for the Illumination finale. That was a treat and a fun way to wrap up the evening.Our only issues were customer service focused. We had to ask for napkins and were given just two for meals that have a fair amount of juice. Also, we paid for my husband to have roasted vegetables added to his entree, but it looked just like mine in portion size. When I asked the server, he said he didn't know. No offer to check or to make it right. We were tired, so didn't press the point. But they will lose customers if this is a pattern.Note: As with most museums and cultural centers, the food venues are run by a different company, not by the Arboretum.Vegetarian options: Multiple choices for vegetarians and vegans, including hot sandwiches and entrees.“

“The owner is one of the best people on the planet. She has gone from politics and her own day to day behind a desk work to putting all that behind her to do something she loves to do. When you have that opportunity how can you not be great. I should go there more, I do every time I am in the neighborhood, even if its just to get some cookies. Old world bakery just what you would expect.“

“Epic, memorable lunch. We ordered steaks, and they were perfectly prepared and grilled. The strip steak was a perfect medium as requested, and my filet mignon was a delicious medium rare. No gristle, very tender. Barry, our waiter was accommodating, efficient, and flawless. We had 2 special requests that he honored without blinking an eye. Barry's not your run of the mill waiter. He's entertaining and funny without interfering in conversations. From beginning to end, it was a textbook perfect dining experience.“

“This place is adorable. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We ordered a lemon and a banana pudding cupcake and both were fantastic. The white cake is so soft and fluffy and moist. The cupcake was so fresh and had great flavor. I love that they offer puppy cupcakes as well. They have the best cupcakes I have ever had in my life. “We came here to warm up and get a midday snack since we were in the area. We came an hour before closing and there were still plenty of baked goods available. There was also plenty of seating and it was clean inside. I had a blackberry brownie and a blueberry basil matcha latte. I typically dislike sweet drinks so I was hesitant to order the latte. However, it wasn't overly sweet and the flavor was interesting (in a good way). The blackberry brownie was rich and also delicious. My child had a big chocolate chip cookie and devoured it instantly. “Let me first say, I enjoyed how small the inside is. An arcade game is also in there for a touch of timeless games. Brad had a nice vibe when speaking to him on the phone while placing my order. The other employees seem to also be friendly. I got a 14' half sausage half pepperoni with chicken. It slaps. Currently eating it with no ranch so that's how I know it bussin. “Came in on Thursday lunch and sat at the bar. Stephanie the lovely bartender, was friendly , polite , attentive , and gorgeous. She had a great personality and attitude. I ordered a bacon , mushroom, and Swiss burger (off menu) and she was more than happy to accommodate me. Turkey chili was fabulous and so was my Bloody Mary. Stephanie was a true professional! Will be coming back to see her in the near future!“

“I'm a big fan of Rustic Knead, as a pescatarian its hard to find good hearty veggie sandwiches for lunch especially in the suburbs but not here. My sister lives in Lemont and every time I go visit I try to make it in for the caprese sandwich on their delicious bread which is made in-store. Staff are always friendly & quick & they have great tea, bakery, chip options too. Awesome for any GF folks as they have GF sandwiches & even some GF cookies from a local bakery a few stores down. It's a bit on the $$ side but you are paying for the great quality & freshness. They are also very consistent, we have never had a bad sandwich nor experience which I definitely appreciated especially dining with GF people!“

“I was very impressed by Fire and Wine. It has a casual vibe. Obviously a local favorite. Each dish was excellent in taste and presentation. Service was great! Both the hostess and server were happy to share recommendations of their favorite dishes. We had the black pepper shrimp appetizer and the pizza bread for the tasty sauce!! “Discovered this place while biking to catch the BNSF back to Chicago. Usually would bike past to hop on the train at Western Springs or LaGrange Road. But one day I stopped short and popped in here. Really impressed by the selection of beer, wine, and whiskey. Before the Derby, they had three different bottles of Blanton's Bourbon. I asked for a smell (it's not Jimmy John's, I know) and they obliged me without so much as a blink of the eye. Quite an impressive wine selection. They are serious about their libations and happy to share their knowledge. I really like this place. Good vibe and great drinks. Check it out. Not sure why some clown gave it two stars. “The four stars is for the restaurant itself. This review is regarding a waitress they have working there, Kate. She was a horrible waitress. I asked for a Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi, whichever they have and she told me they have "Mexican Coke" what the hell is that?! I said, you don't have Diet Pepsi, she said yeah we do, I was like well that's what I asked for.She was not attentive and literally forgot about us sitting in the back. I had to get up and go ask someone if she was still there! The guy I asked said she was still there and he would send her back and even then she took a bit to come back to the table. The place wasn't even crowded. Anyway, Kate finally comes and takes our to go order, since we wanted to take some food home too. Comes back with the to go food and checks, there were three of us and she brought three separate checks, great! Well we tipped according to what we felt she deserved (even then, she actually got more than what she deserved). Also by the way, anytime we go out to eat, we are VERY generous tippers, but do tip accordingly.I go to the washroom and come back and she was at the table talking to my sister and when I walked up, I heard her saying, she left me 10% and you left me 18% and she left me 15% and I just wanna know why? Was there something wrong with my service? She was legit upset! I said to her wait, you're actually questioning your tip? She kept saying that she wanted to know if there was something wrong with the service, but she knows what she was doing. I honestly never in my life have ever had anyone do something like this, I was shocked! Not to mention there were other people sitting around and she was pointing at each of us telling us what we gave her for a tip! It was the most absurd thing! The audacity!So she finally walks away and I go ask for the manager, who happened to be the guy that I asked if she was still there. His name was Sam and he was very nice and very apologetic, he said he was embarrassed and that he would let the owner know. I sure hope he did because employees like this (speaking of employees like that, there were a couple of them behind the deli counter giving us some of the hardest looks, they must be friends!) are going to drive away customers! But I do have to say, the food is amazing and it is a great place!“

“These days I'm not sure a bakery can really deliver everything one'd hope for in the past. Lezza has a great variety of bakery products, and you'll find some of them to be very reasonably priced. I love the lemon knot cookies and the Italian ice, and you'll find traditional cookies here too as well as danishes and donuts. There are very few independently owned places anymore with variety and low-cost options for treats and coffee, but this is one of them!“

“Food is consistently good. Love the toasted pork belly and cheese sammich and tomato soup for dipping. One comment is that I love the music at lunch. It's classic rock mostly, right up my alley, and not played so loud you can't talk to the people at your table. For dinner, my wife and I are hesitant, because depending on who is controlling the music, it can be very loud and very annoying and repetitive music. I can handle most music but not so loud I can't talk to the people at my table. Otherwise this is a great place for me - close to home, with very good beer and food.“

“I've heard this store from my friends and decided to check it out. I ordered strawberry cream cake flavor for my son birthday. The store about 12 miles from my home and it's in the heart of the Danada square in Wheaton. I was surprised how friendly staff were and they are just focusing on cake only. The cake was very moist and a bit too sweet. In my opinion, if they can reduce the amount of sugar in a half, that would make the cake better. I will definitely come back to try other flavors.“

I had been missing chicken teriyaki and fried rice for a long time and was so happy when I found out that TM offers them gluten free. I come here way too much (a few times a week) and feel totally safe with their gluten free options as they have never made me sick in any way. “Thin crust pizza was good, but not the best I've had. Sauce was not bad, but not great either. Crust was very good--crispy. Cheese was plentiful, but didn't seem to be high quality. We had onions on ours...generous portion. Very sweet onions. Our friends had sausage. Said it was very good. Nice portion. Italian beef melt was very good. Ton of beef on delicious garlic bread. Lots of cheese, but again, not a great quality cheese. Best i can describe it is to say it was kind of like drinking skim milk vs whole milk...if that makes sense. French fries were yummy, but not as hot as they could have been. Bread was served when we sat down. Delicious! Crusty and warm. Ask for their spice blend...it doesn't come out unless you ask for it. It was yummy...oregano, salt, pepper, and not sure what else, but out of this world. Service was great. Georgia was very very nice. We were not offered drink refills, and our water glasses were empty, and never refilled. But overall, we were happy. Prices were very reasonable! Four people--two pizzas, a sandwich, two dinner salads, two soft drinks...$66 before tip. Super nice and friendly people. Good food. Reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place.“

“This has been a lemont staple for almost 50 years now. Pizza is great especially when ordered well done. So many great memories from this place ordering delivery when I had sleep overs as a kid all the time. Service is great never got a pizza order wrong. Delivery times can be lengthy so I always just order pick up. Happy to see this place still here after all these years.“

“This place is AWESOME!!!! We recently moved to DuPage from the city and were missing our local GF bakery - a quick google search led us to Babydoll. The owner Nicole was a literal babydoll and was so sweet, telling us all about her shop and the many offerings. My 13 yo has a gluten sensitivity and was missing all the yummy treats we used to get in the city - so happy to say we found our new spot for when a sweet tooth hits! What a gem! and the Brookie treat was....literal heaven!“

“I saw the bakery sign and quickly parked the car. Upon entering, I saw that the bakery cases mainly held cookies, bars, and cupcakes. Not a huge variety, and more specialized with huge sandwiched cookies, macarons, large bar cookies. I opted for a Raspberry crumb bar and a chocolate cherry macaron decorated to look like Santa's belly. The bar cookie was huge; about 4" x 5". It had a deliciously crisp base, and you could taste the butter. It was filled with a thin layer of jam and a lovely crumb topping.The macaron was another story. The cookie itself was great. Light, airy, and crisp. The filling, however, tasted like white wedding cake frosting. It totally overpowered the macaron base. Made my teeth hurt. Total regret.I'd be interested in trying the cupcakes.“

“Spent an afternoon on Naperville and went to the Le Chocolat du Bouchard to pick up some chocolates for taking back home for the family. The shop is really lovely, and the lady who helped me pick the chocolates was really warm and friendly, and provided good suggestions. Back home, everyone I gifted a box of chocolates to, really loved them, and so did I. They are absolutely delicious. Thank you!“

“My experience was great, but this was with the private catering service.I celebrated my mother's 70th birthday surprise party. I started the planning in late December. The event planners were great. My party had 23 guests and we used the Savoy room. The event planners answered all of my questions, and I had plenty. As questions came up, I was able to message them and I would receive an answer almost immediately, and on the weekends, I only had to wait 30 mins to an hour tops!With the event planning service, they had a portal where the documents, contracts, payment deposit, and online discussion were maintained. This helped streamline a lot of the tasks.The event was on a Sunday in April at 11am - 3pm. I knew how crazy parking can be at Oakbrook Center Mall, so I got there at 10:15, and I informed all my guests to promptly arrive at 11am; plus they needed to get there before my mom. :-)For all the late arrivals, they had to deal with the parking issues, but that was on them, not me. LOL!Also a lot of the guests were seniors with previous knee, hip and back surgeries - so I informed them not to park where the restaurants are, but behind the Neiman Marcus. Otherwise, they would have to climb a lot of stairs! That was the best accessible option. I wish there was an elevator available through the Beatrix restaurant; but oh well!When I arrived early, I was able to add my decorations and wait for my guests and mom to arrive.The host was fabulous - super duper attentive, and also provided options for those guests who had food allergies.Since I was in charge of the food planning, everything was delicious. We had Grilled Pepperoni Flatbread, Mediterranean Chicken Skewers, Spit-Roasted Herb Chicken, Barbecued Baby Back Ribs, Cedar-Planked Salmon, Red Skin Mashed Potatoes, and Roasted Market Vegetables. All of that for $36.95 per person (price at the time of my contract) with a minimum of $800 wasn't bad at all!!Everyone had a great time and experience, and my mom was super surprised. That was the best part about the entire day!“
