Service was prompt and friendly and I loved that they served Pepsi products, too!“

“On Good Friday after church we planned to go to Burnt Barrel. Unfortunately there was a long wait and we weren't feeling it, so we decided to cruise by Lakeview just in case it was less busy. We lucked out, people were leaving as we pulled in. This was only the second time I'd been there, but the first time was for an event, and I didn't eat. The atmosphere is nice, it's not super loud and tables are far enough apart that you don't feel like others are encroaching into your space. Our waitress was fantastic, I wish I had caught her name, I'm usually good about that, but it had been a long day...anyway, she was funny and engaging, and had a great personality. I stared at the menu...so many great options...I decided I'd go with a burger. I love a good burger! But I'm also very picky about them, I enjoy the taste of meat, I like it pretty rare and I do not like it over seasoned. I ordered it medium rare with American cheese, lettuce, onion and mayo. It came bedded on a brioche bun...They're truly the best with their soft, delicious sweetness. I have to say this burger was in my top 5 for sure, if it's consistent it could be in my top 2. It came cooked perfectly, when I say medium rare I'm knowing that it'll still cook a bit once plated and it'll end up in front of me a perfect medium leaning rare and that's exactly what I got. The texture and taste of the meat was exactly what I'm looking for, with no obvious taste of seasoning, but instead a perfectly cooked quality burger. I can't wait to go back, I'd like to try some other things, but that burger was so good that I don't know if I'll be able to resist it!“

The place boasts a clean, modern decor and offers excellent, friendly service. I opted for the classic eggs Benedict, which was absolutely perfect. My wife tried the "Sugga Momma" chicken & waffle dish and was blown away. To top it off, we indulged in the French beignets, which were simply fantastic. “Instant favorite. My review is for the restaurant - Danny Boys. I 'found' this place while biking a few years ago. Was sitting across the street taking a breather when I spotted the restoration of this building. I believe they've been open for a while now, but we finally managed to stop in with some friends last night. The menu was slightly different there than the one I saw online, but the in-house menu seemed to have more options. Either way, they have a wide variety of choices ranging from burgers to traditional German plates to tacos, which I ordered. This was a group of three terrific taco's and a side of rice that will make me go back for more. My son had the plate of dumplings which I tried, also just as good. The service here was quick and very friendly. We're interested to come back in the summer when the outdoor patio is open. Cheers.“
