“This is a cute, fast casual that we popped into before we did an escape room. The service was awesome! Greated with smiles and orders were taken enthusiastically.The food is ok. They have a huge menu that is executed poorly. I ordered a philly cheese steak, and it was dry. It had mozzarella cheese on it, and even with peppers and onions, it was bland. My wife got the chicken tender salad. She said the tenders were really good, but the lettuce was wilted, and the rest of the stuff in the salad was scarce.“

“Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“Beautiful little spot! The food was INCREDIBLE! I unfortunately can't remember our waitress' name, but she was a sweetheart and very much aware of her tables. We never felt like we were sitting waiting to be tended to, she was always sure to be around to help us and her tables. The glass mugs, I fell in love with! The decor was absolutely beautiful! My one concern was the ants that were constantly crawling on the wall beside our booth and our table. We didn't want to make a scene and we absolutely would love to go back, but we are nervous about the ants.
