“We used to go to the restaurant in Edina MN and have been to the one in Chicago. Perfect breakfast restaurant. The 49er Flapjacks are fantastic, as is the waffle. The bacon is perfectly cooked. A great experience, which is why it is always crowded on the weekends.“

“My petite Filet was supposed to perfection at the medium rare I ordered and I also ordered horseradish crust. It was extremely flavorful and paired beautifully with our full body cabernet. Do get the red skin mashed potatoes! They were outstanding! I loved my Tuscan kale salad as a starter but my partner said the Caesar salad he got was lovely but he had had better before, I'm assuming with a little more flavor in the dressing. Yes the din was a little loud but what can you say when there's that many customers packing the place. We still could hear each other talking I wished I could hear a little bit of the background music though because I like what Wildfire plays. We only heard that a little bit as we were some of the last people to leave. The bus boys, food runners and in particular our server Dominic were absolutely excellent! We are picky about service and were so pleased with the congeniality and attentive service of all who attended to our table. One thing I love to start with at a restaurant serving this type of cuisine is the house bread. I would have liked a little different bread, like a beautiful crusty baguette or a lovely French or Italian instead of the soft, doughy onion bread rolls, but that is just my opinion. I would definitely come back here for the perfectly cooked steak and the service anytime. I would try to ask for Dominic as my server as well! He is a top-notch server, attentive at the right moments, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and we felt like we were in the perfect hands for our special dinner.“

“We come here often because of the consistency, freshness and portions. Wr were there for appetizers and a birthday dessert. The spinach artichoke is soo good and it has feta inside too. The classic slider burgers were cooked just right and came with fries. There was 5, that filled us up alone. We got their nachos with they changed up and it has a little heat and other ingredients, definitely something to try. Our favorite is thr chicken lettuce wraps which is so flavorful and the sauces just add to the yummiest. They have great desserts so definitely save room. Huge dining area, it gets loud though. Service is always spot on and servers are extremely knowledgeable. They have monitors to help speed up serves if you don't want to wait for a server. Huge cocktail and beer selection.“

“OMG the hot chocolate is to die for! Like drinking a melted candy bar and served with milk and whipped cream. Just like I've had many times in Switzerland and France. Spot on! And the Pain Au Chocolat was amazing and they warmed it up for us. Lots of seating. Definitely a go-to spot from now on!“

“We love this place and wish they were bigger and open longer. The people, food, hot and cold beverages, the breads and sweets, sandwiches and other goodies. Their products remind me of the bread and food my Grandma made in Poland. Words cannot describe how fresh and good everything is. We come here at least 1-2 times a week. This week it was for bread and a latte then yesterday for paczki and tea. Check this place out. The bread will melt in your mouth. Prices are beyond fair for what you get. Hands down the best best best bread and treats are here and no one compares.“

“I love this gem of a cafe. There are so many items to choose from, such a great selection. Each of the items are fresh and tasty. My daughter enjoyed the red velvet cheese cake cookie. I like the brownie heart. Oh, and the shortbread cookies are so buttery and dense and were fantastic with a cup of tea and on there own. The banana bread was really good too! and all the proceeds go toward Misericordia which is a beautiful organization assisting adults with developmental delays work and be independent. One customer was raving about the grilled cheese. I know what I'm getting on my next trip here!“

“Great food, but too small. Advertised coffee but don't serve it. It shouldn't be on menu then, regardless if available in Evanston. Store was absolutely filthy and would never dine-in again. Staff does not clean up at all. Front desk was more concerned with boyfriend stopping in than cleaning a bit! Should close and put funds into Evanston location.“

“I needed to drop someone off at O'hare and was looking for a nearby breakfast spot before my long drive home. Reviews here looked good so I thought I would give it a try. It was easy to get to from O'hare and again easy to get back on the tollway after.I had an excellent omelet and I think the prices are in line with the quality. I also had a large glass of fresh squeezed orange juice which was great. It wasn't too crowded on a Monday morning around 9am. Service was quick and my server was very helpful in answering questions about my gluten free diet. I had gluten free bread toasted and she confirmed the hash browns are gluten free along with the omelet.I highly recommend Ellys“

“Healthy and delicious sandwiches and wonderful coffee. The breads are amazing and while I haven't tried the pastries- they look Divine. I've been here a few times and always love it. It's also next to some cool antique shops which were fun to explore after a good meal.“

Felt like I was in the space of the couple behind us especially when I stood up.Beef bourguignon was very pretty but underseasoned. No detectable red wine taste to the sauce or meat. Beet salad was declared “fine.” We started with the spring rolls which were good and the potstickers .. good except the sauce with ketchup and sweet chili notes was a bit overpowering. All the appetizers on the menu were Asian except focaccia and soup. Desserts were enjoyed. Cocktails were good.Funny to see menu highlights in google maps include tiramisu, scallops, and hangar steak, none of which were on offer during our visit.“

“I went with edge of sweetness bakery for my wedding cake and it was amazing! We wanted to go with a local bakery as we are residents of Edgewater and it was the best choice because the cake was DELICIOUS! We went with the lemon cake with a raspberry buttercream in the middle and I watched as people ate multiple slices at my wedding! Working with the team here was a joy and they made the whole process stress free. We even got the cake tasting box and my husband and I had so much fun trying all the flavors and picking out what we wanted. Could not recommend them enough!“

Then it was getting busy because the orders were large per order. Will need to go again to try their other items.I bought their Mexican hot chocolate, horchata iced and two empanadas; the green salsa and molé sauce. Empanadas were okay and mild for their spicy flavor. The Mexican hot chocolate was very good! Iced Horchata tasted like it had a shot of coffee; I’m not a fan of that type of coffee.Parking: It’s located on a strip so the parking is limited.“

They offered your typical fare like pancakes and French toast, but also offered amazing breakfast egg sandwiches, salads, and quiches. I ordered their eggs benedict special on a polenta cake and it was absolutely incredible. The polenta cake was light and fluffy and the hollandaise was delicious. The accompanying side salad was also everything I would have wanted in a salad, with tasty greens, cucumbers, fresh berries, and a light vinaigrette. I would happily eat here again!“

“Smack Dab is definitely one of my favorite places in the city. They are inclusive, friendly, have a killer menu and very community oriented. All around amazing. I love they have vegan and gluten free options, and regularly have versions of their monthly sandwich specials that accommodate those restrictions. Definitely stop in and give them a try. I love adding their onion jam to their grits bowls for an extra zing and really enjoy their GF Vegan house made focaccia for my favorite Vegan Green & Jam sandwich.Vegetarian options: They have a lot of options to switch up to accommodate.Vegan meats to swap out their meat options.Dietary restrictions: They are very good about helping and having options with dietary restrictions. Vegan beyond meat, JUST egg (vegan egg), vegan cheese, vegan breads/donuts, GF/V chocolate pepita bread, GF/V house made focaccia... They even have options for Vegan/ deglutenized pizza when they do pizza pop ups.“

“It's Egg Harbor! Quality across locations is notoriously consistent. Good and interesting food selection, with stellar staples and a rotating menu of specials, plus periodic changes to their main menu.I have enjoyed Egg Harbor in other locations for decades and I have no complaints about this one. Staff is persistent cheery and imminently friendly. Food and ingredient quality is consistent and always on par with other quality brunch joints. You won't necessarily find the most experimental items in the world here, but they do push out some interesting specials.Prices aren't cheap, but always on per with restaurants of similar quality and actually have not increased as massively as others with inflation. They treat their staff notoriously well and I have personally seen a guy I like go from a busboy with low English competency to a floor manager. Gotta love that.Dietary restrictions: The staff is ready and quite willing to adjust menu items to accommodate any dietary restrictions they can. They aren't heavily focused on this and probably can't, for instance, guarantee they've eradicated all traces of gluten from most meals, but they are glad to do what they can with no stress.Parking: The parking lot is a bit of a pain to navigate due to its design, but you can park both in the front and back and you'll never find yourself lacking.Kid-friendliness: Egg Harbor is Notoriously kid friendly. I can't speak for kids who behave catastrophically poorly, but I went to another location for most of my childhood and they were both kind and accommodating.“

Always seems busy but the turnover is pretty fast so I’ve always been able to get a good place to sit. I appreciate that it’s not Starbucks.Parking: If you can grab a street parking spot in front count yourself lucky. It’s hit or miss. Worst case is you have to park a block away.“

“Torino is the BEST!!!! There are so many good vegetarian options, from sushi to the ramen, we order torino almost weekly. Drinks are good too and the weekly happy hour is such a good deal.I like sitting inside at the bar or in the dining room, but they always do a great job with takeout as well. Service is always great, even when they are busy.“

However, outdoor sidewalk-level seating is available.“
