“I do love the Alpine shop in Elmwood Park, but I have to say I like this location much better. A very friendly staff & a few tables for outdoor eating. Don't get me wrong the staff is friendly at Elmwood Park but they have so much going on that a few times our orders were messed up. So, I think I will stick with the Westchester location. Alot of parking too which is a Big Plus. The sandwiches are very fresh. Delicious as well! The cookies look very good too & next time I will add that & even a packaged brownie to our order. I never knew this location existed until we took a trip to the Queen of Heaven Cemetery. My Husband & I wanted to eat lunch first. We were shocked to find out Alpine is in Westchester for 7 years!! I am very happy we found out! The best subs around!! I had turkey with cheddar cheese & Gerry had The Alpine.“

“I've been coming here all my life. Obviously the pizza set-ups are the main draw but do yourself a favor and get meat here too. The Italian wine sausage is amazing. The Irish garlic sausage is a treat for the grill. The only thing they didn't have was corned beef. Nevertheless, this place rocks.“
“Best smoked sausage in Chicagoland! Almost the same we remember from babcia in Polish countryside back in 1980's when they slaughtered the pig for holidays and sausage was phenomenal? So if owners read it, would it be possible to add more słonina pork fat to your smoked sausage, I think it goes down better and creates this smoked smalec/lard and jelly, that you can literary spread the sausage on the bread. All the best guys and thank you!“
“This place has the best Polish food. I have been looking for good fresh polish sausage after Bobaks closed several years ago. I tried many places and could not find a good place until I stumbled upon Gorka's. Their sausage is the best. They also have frozen or prepared other Polish specialties. The pierogis, saurkraut, dumplings, cabbage rolls and more are delicious. Highly recommend!“
“It's a shame that there are so few of these delis left in the area; there used to be three or four along a couple of miles of Archer down here (including Bobak's), but I guess the demographics no longer supports them. It was a joy to find this place by accident. We go to this tiny place mainly for the beet borscht, bigos (to DIE for!), and pierogis. I smiled when I noticed they actually have wooden barrels of kapusta and pickled cukes wedged into a rear corner. They have all different kinds of fresh pierogi and, for such a small space, a pretty good sausage/meat selection. I know very little about East European sausage names, but it would probably be wise to call ahead if you are looking for a certain kind.“
“After Vesecky (bakery) in Berwyn closed several months ago, preceeded by the loss of Bohemian Crystal (restaurant) about a year earlier; we thought it was no longer worth the 3+ hr drive up to the Chicago suburbs to satisfy our Czech food cravings. We were wrong; as finding this little gem was such a fortunate happenstance. The cream of mushroom soap is wonderful, the breaded pork tenderloin excellent, the strudel addictive, the kolacky tasty, etc etc etc... And; they have jaternice, cream sausage, head cheese, etc. all of which is virtually non-existent in mid-north Indiana. This is the type of east-European ethnic deli/eatery that is becoming harder and harder to find; thank goodness we spotted it. If one enjoys Czech cuisine, this is a "must" visit.“

“Really good stuffed pepper soup. Also, when they make it, really good sloppy Joe. They don’t make either often enough for me.“
