“I’m from out of town and this place is as authentic as the Mexican restaurants I go to in Chicago. From the atmosphere,the music,and their salsas made me feel back at home. It was hard finding a Mexican restaurant that was good out in this area most of them lack that real Mexican authentic taste. Waitress was extremely friendly as soon as me and my co-worker sat down she brought out chips and salsa(at no extra charge),she also brought out this home made salsa to go along with the chips that had a great taste. I ordered the 3 taco meal (1-chicken,1- Al pastor & 1-carnitas) with rice and beans but opted for double rice instead. The food came out very promptly and the meats tasted fresh,they didn’t taste like they sat all day in a pot. Both of their green and red salsa were amazing. They also use standard 6” tortillas not like some of these places in the area that sell you a 4” taco,that’s not a real taco. I also got a medium horchata that was very tasty and it complimented my food. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for real Mexican food or anyone who knows real Mexican food you won’t be disappointed.“
“Been looking for a great Mexican restaurant in the St Louis area ever since some idiot closed Casa Galardo’s many years ago. We finally have found it here at La Casa! Food is excellent, service is exceptional and what a wonderful place! Best Mexican in St Louis by far!!!“
“New Years Day 2023: Traveled through the area and wanted to get a bite and stretch our legs. The dining room was closed because five people called out. Had to go through the drive-thru and eat in the car. Thank goodness for the three that showed up and have a work ethic. Thanks guys!“
“The location is a newish building, so the decor and atmosphere were nice. Service was a little slow, but if they were making sure my order was right, then I didn't mind waiting. I had a Beef Chalupa, which didn't have as much meat as I would have expected. It did have plenty of lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese.“
“This is the only place we eat at anymore! The food is delicious, perfect portions, and the owner is the nicest person! It has a space to eat at inside, but we usually bring it to eat at home. I always get my beans and cheese burritos, and my husband will usually get the Chile Colorado burrito, and they're perfect every single time! We tried a few places before we found this one, and nothing else even compares to Fridas, their atmosphere, prices, food, service. “This has become my favorite lunch spot in Belleville. That'd have great lunch specials at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the arroz con pollo and the verde burrito. The arroz con pollo is has cheese sauce mixed in through the whole dish so it lightly coats everything. It also has a healthy amount of grilled peppers and onions. It's excellent. The chili verde pork burrito is another great lunch item. It's stuffed with tender pork, rice and beans and covered in a spicy (but not too spicy) green sauce. Service is always friendly and usually pretty fast.“
“I tried two different vegetarian tacos and they were delicious. I could eat them every day. My daughter thought the kids hot dog was extra delicious also. Service is great.Vegetarian options: Nice variety in the vegetarian section of the menu. I tried tofu tacos and avocado/black bean tacos. Both were excellent.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has at least 10 meal choices.“
“Our server, Andrew was absolutely awesome. One of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere was great. The food was underwhelming. I had the chicken fajita Hawaiian and my daughter had the chicken trio Azteca burritos. The chicken in both meals was blah. Zero seasoning in the chicken at all. It’s a shame because everything else on the plate was god, but the main piece of the meal had no taste. Maybe if the cook would use some seasonings to add some favor, it would really help. I will say they do offer military discounts.“
