“Well I ate there 3/28/2024 and I say the food was excellent. My wife even agreed saying hers was equally delicious ( and she normally doesn’t agree ? ) but seriously this place has a 80,s cool to it , they have 80,s items displayed. Will definitely try to get back there as we live 2 hours away in Rockford. Loved the food , service and atmosphere.“

“Split the double Catfish dinner and we got the crab cakes. The Catfish was fried nicely and not overly greasy. I do think the breading could have used more seasonings as it was a bit bland. The fish cakes were still a bit wet when served but still very serviceable. The special tarter sauce was much better than the standard sauce served with the catfish.“

“While visiting the QCA, we stopped here late afternoon for the first time in years with the intention of ordering from their all-day breakfast selection. We ended up having fish and chicken on the recommendation of a regular of this restaurant. The food and service was very good all around and the prices were super reasonable.“

“First time at this place and it did not disappoint. We were traveling through area from out of town and most breakfast places closed at 2pm, this one was open longer. Many regular customers inside and the food was excellent. Serves breakfast all day and other lunch/home food. Had a couple desserts and they were awesome as well. Service was top notch - great home meals easy to get to if you are traveling through!“

“We like to food at Culver's, but what really stood out during this visit was the crew. A young man was getting ready to walk the floor looking to clean up and ran to get the door for an elderly couple. A young lady was very kind to us and gave us free custard! We'll be back.“

“We stopped in for supper. I had the grilled tenderloin and my wife had the chicken sandwich with waffle fries. Everything was cooked well with great seasoning. Their house sauce is very good-somewhat tangy and you can taste the bourbon flavoring. The food order came out quick even though the place was busy. “We were there Monday3/25 it was 6$ Burger basket night and the restaurant was busy! We sat at the bar and immediately noticed a less then friendly bartender that was yelling at the hostess not to sit anyone else at the bar because the other bartender had called in. She was visibly upset throwing things being rude to other customers, throwing drinks around etc. After 5 minutes of no eye contact or any semblance of acknowledgement we asked for a table.Our waiter was good he took our drink order quickly and was back promptly. Our burgers were delicious and the resident magician still has me wondering how he did the card trick! All in all my son and I had a good experience not counting the negatives of sitting at the bar. I would recommend this place for good fresh food anytime!“

“Great place for appetizers. Started spring break here with some peers. Pretzel bites delicious. Ribeye quesadillo wad amazing. Mushrooms and cheese balls were good. The best was the crab Rangoon egg rolls. First time here but won't be last.“

“Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the order taker. I asked about yue ice cream flavor of the week and the manager over heard the conversation and quickly offered me a free sample. Our order was exactly what we asked for, and the food was delivered hot and fresh to the table. Rest rooms were clean, dining area clean and well lit. No complaints.“

“Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. There were a few people at the bar that seemed to be regulars, but we felt welcome, and got in our drink and food orders. The bartender was our server and did a good job. You can order from the Happy Joes/Rudy's that is next door, or you can order off their bar menu of sandwiches, etc. I think the only difference is how you order - if it's off the bar menu the server takes the order, otherwise you call over to the neighboring restaurant and they deliver it. Two of us got cheeseburgers...they were pretty good-a nice soft bun and a good burger. Fries were OK. The other in our party got the chicken fingers. They were fine, with very nice tender chicken, and an OK coating. Our server was attentive and very pleasant.“

“Same waitstaff we had when it was the Windmill, so service was great. Loved the remodeling and the food was also comparable to the Windmill, so good food with a good price. The former owner was also there, milling around chatting with customers. It will remain one of my favorite neighborhood spots.“
